Summary
THIS FIC IS GETTING EDITED, I disliked how chapter 1 ended up especially with how much better I know I can write. So I'm going to rewrite this summary and chapter one before posting chapter 2. (will remove this section note after completing the rewrite)In an AU where both Regulus and Pandora didn’t die. Years before Luna was born to Pandora and Xenophilius Lovegood, they had another daughter. The daughter was raised with and best friends with the son of Regulus Black. Even calling themselves siblings. Together the two of them get into mischief, playfully rivaling the Weasley twins with their pranks in their free time. Not even the separate houses could keep these two apart. That was before something happened that changed that. Continue to the fic to find out what happens.
Note
First post on AO3 sorry for any mistakes. Hope you enjoySpecial thanks to Raven (who's account hasn't been verified yet) who helped me with ideas, characters, and more for the fic!

Expecting

Regulus starred past the door awaiting Pandora. He couldn’t help but worry about her lately, often getting sick during gatherings. The group was hanging out as usual beside a park where Barty and Evan were being childish at the playground, when Pandora suddenly ran to the bathrooms. Nobody besides Regulus seemed to realize her slight discomfort after she reappeared, her normal seamlessly straight hair slightly tangled, and her eyes fell unusually tired.

She sat opposite of Regulus, watching Evan stick his tongue out at Barty while Dorcas scolded him for climbing on top of the play structure. Barty of course followed Evan in attempt to ‘playfully’ push him off the thing. Sighing at the sight, he turned to Pandora “Do you feel alright, Dora?”

“Yeah, I’m fine, I must have caught something or perhaps ate something bad.” Pandora looked at him for a moment before adding “Reg, seriously I’m fine and will continue to be fine. I know that look on your face when you’re concerned.”

Regulus put his hands up in defense “alright, alright I get it Dora” he said chuckling slightly. In response Pandora just smiled back before leaving to join the others while Regulus stayed at the table. He knew he could join the others whenever but didn’t feel like it. There’s no point in playing on playgrounds at age 18. He thought. Besides, I didn’t play on them when I was younger so there’s no point in starting now when it’s something for kids. Regulus continued the book he was reading previously while the others continued their horrendous game.

Pandora sat back as he poured boiling water into her cup. “I still can’t believe you convinced me to have monthly sessions with you about my ‘feelings’.” Regulus muttered grimly before yawning. “It’s too early for this.”

“Reggie, you act like you woke up for this talk.” She giggled. Of course, Pandora could tell I was up all night. She could always tell what was happening most of the time which makes these sessions nonsense.

The two of them talked for hours about life and random things they have discovered since last time. It was just a casual conversation until. “-life has surprisingly not been too stressful lately considering everything, like the pregnancy and schedule differences with me and Xenophil- “

Regulus blinked before cutting Pandora off. “PREGNACY??? PANDORA YOU’RE HAVING A KID!??” he gasped surprised. Dora’s eyes instantly widened as if she didn’t mean to say that.

“I- Reg please don’t tell anyone! I swear I was going to tell you. I wanted it to be a surprise for everyone.” She took a breath before adding “Xenophilius doesn’t even know yet.”

“It’s alright Dora, I won’t tell anyone. Well maybe after it’s announced I might spill that I known beforehand.” He smiled playfully.

Pandora nudged him in the ribs. “Of course you would” she laughed. “Though now that you know, you got to help me decorate and set up the announcement party. You know how to set up the best surprises.”

Regulus poked her back. “Sure, I will help. Though I doubt Barty and Evan would agree with who’s best with surprises.” He joked.
