Chapter 2
Sarah knew Sirius was hiding behind the pillar James was leaning against. It was because at the end of the school year, Sirius broke up with Marlen McKinnon, and she is known as a very fearless girl, so she would have no problem cursing Sirius into a frog if she had the chance and Sirius knew it.
The blonde girl noticed her as soon as she approached the pillar and greeted her with an enthusiastic wave. "You look good for what you went through over the holidays, Potter." She said energetically and positioned her arms so they could hug. Sarah fell into her arms and laughed. Marlen was one of the few who knew what was going on in their house, as she was Sarah's only friend she confided in like this.
Yet they were separated by the fact that Sarah didn't like her friends, or rather the other way around.. they didn't like her.
"You look pretty good to have that one stupid face of one idiot waiting for you every day, McKinnon." Sarah breathed out with a smirk and the girls giggled. Out of the corner of her eye, Sarah caught a glimpse of James saying something behind his back, no doubt to Sirius.
The scumbag could have been eavesdropping because Sirius had to be afraid of what would happen to him in handes of Marlen McKinnon.
"You know that I know Sirius is behind that pillar, right?" Marlen said. Sarah could only grimace and shrug her shoulders. It would be odd if she didn't realize that considering it's ridiculous for James to be standing there alone.
James' expression was priceless, within two seconds he managed to pull Sirius by his shirt from behind the pillar and disappear in air.
"Nice to see you again Mary by the way" Sarah said turning her head to the other girl.
The dark skinned girl smiled strangely as she returned the courtesy. "Nice to see you too Potter. I see that nothing improved during the holidays, rather it got worse."
Sarah looked at the train where Sirius jumped up to the window and slapped the glass, scaring the soul of Peter, who was in the compartment. "I feel like you might be right," she said thoughtfully. Mary raised her eyebrows in disbelief, but didn't comment further on Sarah. Sarah's eyes brightened as if something had cliked to her. "Sirius was staying with us for the whole holiday," she said and took a deep breath. "He had a fight with his mother, he's basically staying with us now."
Marlen let out a surprised laugh. Just the idea that Sarah had to deal with Sirius and James for almost two months straight.
,,I would ask how you survived, but I don't want to know what is actually going on at your house. The last time you told me about it, I was traumatized for another week."
,,I wouldn't say it like that Marlen." said the person behind Sarah and Marlen looked up. A red haired girl was standing in front of them with a suitcase. Lily smiled slightly and then both Mary and Marlen ran up to her to hug her. Sarah sighed and turned, Lily Evans was in a big hug with her two friends.
It was noticeable to anyone passing by that tensions began to accumulate even more than between Mary and Sarah. It wasn't that Lily didn't like younger of the Potter siblings, but she wasn't very comfortable in her presence.
Again, Sarah didn't care. She took note of Lily Evans and respected her brilliance, but she didn't necessarily need to talk to her. Maybe Lily seemed strange because everyone is quite pleasant and Sarah is simply indifferent. She was the princess of Gryffindor and the most popular girl from the dormitory. Literally every important person approached her, and on top of that she was a successful Quidditch player for the dormitory team.
The only thing that was strange was that she didn't have many close friends. One was Marlen and Frank then her brother. Of course, she has been in the presence of the Marauders many times and sometimes seemed to be a member of their jokes, but it was never so close.
"It's nice to see you again on the platform Sarah" said Lily, shoving her legs a little. Sarah smiled at her quite fondly.
"You too red."
"I don't want to spoil the moment, but we have five minutes before the train leaves." Mary said, motioning with her head somewhere in the middle of the train.
" Oh, thanks for mentioning, i have to go find Moony." Sarah didn't even wait for a goodbye and walked away from the three girls. Within seconds she was able to reach the door of the train and disappear among the students.
"That wasn't nice," Mary said, smirking at the younger Gryffindor's departure,
"You're not so nice Mary." Marlen said looking at her friend. "Don't think that Sarah doesn't know that you don't like her. She's intelligent and anyone could see that.” Mary blushed slightly in embarrassment and lowered her head to the ground.
“I'm sorry for our jumping to conclusions.” Lily said, shifting the canvas bag in her hand unsteadily. "I've never had a chance to know her, I'll try to be nice," she said and quickly added, "Mary too."

Sarah couldn't leave out the part of her judgment that Remus was damn handsome. A nice change from Sirius and James bragging about it as Remus never mentioned his appearance.
"You're not prefect this time" were the first words Sarah said when she saw him and then they hugged. Remus laughed and then their conversation continued naturally on topic holiday.
"Are you sure, they're usually at the end of the train," Remus said doubtfully, but still Sarah followed closer and closer to the front of the train. "Maybe they do, but Sirius wants to avoid his brother and since the Slytherins are usually on the end of the train, he avoids that part like the plague."
Remus nodded his head, though his doubts weren't completely dispelled. "Sounds like Sirius," he admitted with a smile. "But if he happens to run into Regulus, he'll pretend he doesn't know him."
Sarah smiled and nodded her head towards the front of the train where the other students in the compartment were much sparser. "Maybe. But I think he'll be lucky this time, I haven't seen him either, which is saying something considering because Slytherins has a habit of insulting me."
"insults," Remus repeated and laughed, "Don't think about it, you'll have a fight with someone at school. Now we have to find the boys and try to calm them down. We mustn't fool around after the ascent in Hogsmeade."
Sarah blinked reproachfully at him. "You're only talking about yourself, Lupin. I'll be there for the butter beer and the bars."
When they finally found the compartment, the door opened and Sirius appeared, shoulder length hair wildly disheveled, grinning widely. "Who's coming here!" he exclaimed, spreading his arms as if to embrace them all at once.
James was smirking behind him, adjusting his glasses with one hand and playing with a strand of unruly hair. "Don't be awkward, Sirius," he chuckled as Sirius managed to hug both Sarah and Remus and motion for them to sit down, despite Sarah seeing the entire holiday.
Peter, who was sitting on the edge of his seat impatiently playing with the chocolate flip flop wrapper, gave them an encouraging smile. "Hello, Sarah," he said with a slight wave and a small smile towards Remus. They met last week.
Sirius sprawled out in the seat across from them and pulled a sweet brownie out of his pocket with a satisfied expression on his face. "So what's new?" he started the conversation with obvious enthusiasm. "I already have a plan for how we can bypass Filch and get to the shop without unnecessary complications. And don't worry, I have everything mapped out in detail."
James leaned against the frame of the coupe and crossed his arms. "Sirius, really?" he raised an eyebrow in mock outrage. "You know Remus don't need to sneak around. He is exemplary ex-prefects." At that, Sarah and Remus looked at each other, trying to stifle laughter.
"Sure, because he always follow all the rules," Sarah said wryly.
"Don't even tell me about the rules," Sirius snorted, leaning back comfortably. "Filch is definitely waiting for each of us, and most of all, he's looking forward to catching us – but we'll definitely disappoint him today. What do you think, Peter?"
Peter nodded in agreement and timidly added, "Just leave me behind so I don't have to sneak in first."
Remus laughed and said with edged sternness, "Seriously, we should behave ourselves – the Marauders' reputation depends on us." After all, he added: "But I won't miss a butter beer either."

Sarah had a chocolate in one hand And in the other she had some thing she find on the floor. She didn't really know what was that, but she took it, because it looks like a cat.
That thing was shiny and made of glass.
Actually, she had no idea what it was and she didn't care at all. The boys ran away from her thirty minutes ago, saying that they had to buy some alcohol from Madame Rosmeta for a welcome party in the Gryffindor Tower. Even though they were supposed to return within twenty minutes, they were gone and Sarah went alone on the way to Hogwarts.
She had to admit that she wanted to avoid the carriage journey, as she was a person who was in dire need of avoidance. It was just damn lucky that she didn't meet Ben on the train ride. She basically went through the whole train and never met him once.
But now she's somewhere in Hogsmeade and she's worried if she'll even make it to Hogwarts before midnight. It was last year when the Gryffindor team won the Quidditch Cup that Sarah publicly broke up with Benji Fenwick. Of course she understood why he was upset that day. as the Ravenclaw captain of the Quidditch team, he had the right to, but Sarah wasn't going to console him when she herself had been largely responsible for Gryffindor winning. Of course she wanted to go celebrate.
This in turn did not please Ben and the two got into an argument right in front of the Quidditch court. Everyone watched as Ben yelled at her and everyone saw Sarah slap him, then she said the words that ended their five month relationship.
Of course they both leave upset, but Sarah manages to get back into the mood during the party, which angers Ben and he calls her out on cheating the next day in the great hall, more drama for the next few weeks. Sarah was more than excited when they were leaving Hogwarts and everyone could cool down in the two months.
Today, a few people looked at her badly, but not so much that it bothers her
Sarah looked at the road and almost tripped over the root when she noticed a blonde girl standing in the forest in front of her. It seemed as if Sarah disturbed her while stroking some being that Sarah couldn't see. At first she thought she was crazy, only then did Sarah notice the hollows of the hooves in front of the girl. "I'm sorry if I scared you," said the blonde with a soft voice and a simple gesture to drive the animal away. Sarah recognized it by squeezing the tufts of grass on the way. It must have been similar to a horse or something like that.
"Actually it's okay." Sarah said, trying to look nice. The girl seemed quite sweet and Sarah would definitely not want to destroy it.
Silence spread between the girls until the blonde sewed herself slightly in discomfort. "I don't really know what to say right now." said the blonde, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear. Sarah raised her eyebrows with amusement. She sounded very innocent.
"Well, hello would do for a start." Sarah said, grinning and she started walking on the road again.
Pandora's eyes widened in shock, but it didn't take long for her to smile. “So hello Sarah Potter. I am glad that we are meeting and talking this time. I'm Pandora Rosier, we go to magic formulas together." she said. She added that last sentence naturally, as if she knew Sarah didn't know her, or at least she didn't know her name.
"Well, it's nice to meet you Pandora, you know me already." Sarah said, her smile faltering a little. "I feel a little guilty that I never bothered to meet you, let alone find out your name." she added, pressing her lips together.
Apparently Pandora didn't care. "Don't worry, I'm used to things like this happening, it's just that not many people know me," she said as if she were talking about morning tea. "Everyone knows my brother." she added a little uncertainly. Sarah thought, as the name Rosier is actually quite familiar.
Only after a moment did the blond boy Slytherin appear in her mind, one of Regulus Black's best friends. She knew about that thanks to the fact that she argued with him quite often. Sarah didn't like the attitudes of pureblood families to others and he was an expert at totally screwing her up.
"I can see you don't like him very much." Pandora said after Sarah was in thought for a few minutes. I could tell by the look on her face. Sarah blushed a little when she realized how this might have affected Pandora.
"I'm so sorry it wasn't because of your brother, it's just that when I think of Evan Rosier, there's always Lestrange And Black." she said and exhaled. "I think you must have seen, or even heard, at least one argument between us."
Pandora smiled sweetly. "You better tell me who didn't hear that." Pandora said and when she laughed, her laughter rang out like bells.
Sarah looked at her for a moment before answering. "First years."
"You've got a point." Pandora said.
Sarah didn't even realize that they had already come all the way through the forest and the tower of Hogwarts Castle appeared in front of them through the trees. "When I went last time, the road seemed longer." Pandora said, seeming to remember walking this way last year.
Sarah turned to her curiously. "You're weird" she said without any softening. Pandora turned on her and stopped just before the gate. Sarah stopped right after her and looked at the blonde.
"I, I guess I'm sorry." she said hesitantly and Sarah laughed.
"Don't be, that was a compliment" she said with a smile and walked away.
Pandora caught up to her in a moment, looking quite confused. "You treat me like we're friends," she said confused, and even from the side she could see a smile on Sarah face.
"I'd like to think we're friends." there was something different about the way Pandora's eyes lit up with excitement than Sarah usually saw.
"It's nice to have a girl friend. You are the first.”
"You're my second now," Sarah said and smiled. "But you're completely different, so we'll have to figure out how we understand each other together."
Pandora's smile widened even more. "I'd love to find out."

Remus put his head in his hands as he listened to the conversations at the table between James, Sirius and all the possible people they brought into the conversation. In fact, he didn't even know why they were solving the popular drink.
One thing he learned was that Marlen's favorite drink was some muggle brand he couldn't remember. "Actually, it could probably be butterbeer." Peter said as he thought about it.
Mary laughed and immediately had to answer him. "That's to be expected considering you drink it by the pint Pete." she said making the other girls laugh as well. This time James spoke up. "And we're dealing with our favorite drink, or what we drink most often," he asked.
Since James drank water most often, he would probably say it as a favorite drink, but he was sure that he preferred some other drink to plain water. He drank water especially because it was the best for athletes, he needed to stay in shape for Quidditch and also for his dreams of becoming an auror.
"Favorite, Prongs." Sirius said with a smirk. "My favorite is Firewhiskey." Sirius said as Marlen and James rolled their eyes in unison.
Remus finally raised his head and looked at Sirius who had a big smile on his face. "Your favorite drink is what poisons you the fastest" he said and within moments James burst out laughing.
Sirius gave his friend a judgmental look before turning to Remus. "You should be on my side Moony." he said suspiciously, as if he expected the person who whispered this sentence in his ear to appear somewhere. Remus could only sigh. Right after that he got a glimpse of Marlen slapping Sirius and silently scolding him for something. To how Sirius was afraid of her, they became fast friends again, even though they are ex-partners.
It looked like Marlen got her sence over the holidays. Unlike Sirius, whitch he's still an idiot.
"Don't talk to me about it," Sirius blurted out, pushing Marlen away, who seemed particularly amused, with sparks of mischief playing in her eyes.
"You want to poison yourself?" asked a child's voice and everyone froze in fright. Remus was the first to turn and see the child. he was probably first year considering his fright.
Honestly no one knew what to do with a child.
"Don't worry dear. Sirius is just making his own potions. When you Will be in the sixth year you will be able to do that too." said Sarah who had just arrived at the dorm table. Remus flushed in the face as did the other Marauders. Neither of them realized they had left Sarah in Hogsmeade. Now he felt terribly ashamed, considering what a bad friend he had been.
Sarah didn't seem to care and knelt down next to the boy. "You're a Ravenclaw I see" she pointed at the uniform and smiled. ,"You're at the wrong table boy. what's your name then?"
"I'm Hugo Davies," he said quietly and Sarah smiled.
"So Hugo, run to your dorm mates." the boy smiled at Sarah before running away. Sarah stood up and turned to face Remus, who crouched slightly. He knew Sarah wouldn't be too thrilled and he was right. "Damn, there are scared first years everywhere, maybe you can talk about something safe." Sarah said in a stern voice and James immediately went on the defensive.
"But we were only talking about drinking."
