Could It Be Like Before?

Motherfucking Damian Priest.

Liv was enraged, hell that was an understatement. She had Rhea right where she had been begging to have her the ENTIRE. TIME.

Rhea wasn't pulling away, Liv was pretty sure Rhea didn't even know what was happening.

"I Fucking Won."

Yeah, maybe she had said that.

But how could she have won if she didn't have the thing she wanted the most?

Liv was going in way too fast, but she had waited too long.

She had waited since fucking 2022. The woman she loved, betraying her, for fucking Edge?

Since when the HELL did she like EDGE?!

Rhea was HERS. Maybe Rhea didn't believe it, but she was, and finally, Liv had gotten that opportunity. Rhea was upset, angry, and way too focused on ignoring Liv than actually comprehending what was happening. She had her right where she wanted her!

Why the fuck did Damian Priest have to come back in RIGHT THEN?!

She had literally been in Rhea's lap. She was expecting Rhea to snap at her, shove her off, scream at her, and beat her down.

But Rhea didn't do any of that.

She was quite literally frozen when Liv did it. Liv couldn't help but smirk at the moment, lowering herself so she was in Rhea's lap, her knees on either side of Rhea's thighs. It was perfect.

Liv leaned in so damn close, too.

She was barely an inch from Rhea's surprised face, her lips only centimeters from Rhea's, which were already parted in confusion.

She was so, so close.

Rhea wasn't going to do anything.

She obviously didn't understand what had been happening, didn't understand why Liv was dropping into her lap, why Liv was slowly inching her hand up from her arm up to her face, why she was leaning in closer, and closer, and closer.

And that was all Liv needed- her confused, and completely malfunctioning with her reactions.

Rhea hadn't even noticed Liv's hand weave into her hair, pulling her closer.

But then fucking Priest.

Liv, of course, shot up, and Rhea snapped back out of it.

Liv must have become a natural over the months of wooing Dominik, because she didn't even know what she was saying, just thinking of everything she would do to Rhea but replacing her name with Daddy Dom.

Ew.

"Daddy Dom"?

That wasn't what Liv wanted to fucking call that man-child.

"Mami"?

That was something she wanted.  She had no doubt about it. She wanted a "Mami" twenty times more than a "daddy".

And she was damn close to having what she wanted.

But, of course, Damian, the ever protective older brother type towards Rhea, came back in, obviously having comforted Rhea after Dom's and the rest of their so-called family's betrayal.

Even though Liv was a strong, determined person, she knew not to push Damian Priest without some sort of backup, especially around Rhea. Damian was insanely protective of her. Everyone knew it, even since NXT.

It was sweet the way he helped her, guiding her throughout her time in WWE.

But why the fuck did he have to come in then?

Just one more minute and she would've been making out with Rhea in her lap, and she was pretty sure she would've actually liked it by the way she didn't even mo-

Wait.

Why the fuck didn't she pay attention.

She.

Didn't.

Move.

Which meant...

Does Rhea feel the same way?

Could it be like before?

Dominik was proud of himself. He broke the most dominant woman in the entire roster.

He felt confident.

He knew he was shitty for feeling happy about breaking her, but he really couldn't give less of a fuck.

She had made it clear that she would never be his.

So, he chose someone who would be his.

But he knew it would take getting used to. Rhea was dominant, but she was also sweet. She was comforting, she cared about him and cared for him whenever she could, even though frequently she couldn't do it for long because of a match.

But Liv was everything he dreamed of. She was better than Rhea.

She was a real woman.

She was his real-life Barbie doll. Perfect curves, that she showed off every time she could. Long, blonde hair. Wore crop tops and shorts as short as she could make them, and flaunted everything she had.

She was perfect.

But every time he thought of 'perfect', his mind went to Rhea.

It shouldn't.

She wouldn't recognize who the man was in their relationship. She thought she got to be the one with the championship. That she got to be the one who could win. No, that isn't how it works. HE was the man, the one who got everything he wanted from her, the one who got everything she had to give, and he didn't care if that sounded narcissistic and fucking up, but Liv was willing to give that to him.

Rhea? She wasn't.

It wasn't his problem that she wasn't giving him everything he needed as a man.

Liv was so good at that.

She made him feel like a grown man, like she belonged to him.

But he was slowly questioning if he wanted her to belong to him, or if he wanted Rhea to belong to him. Whether he hated her or not, he meant what he said when he said she belonged to him.

He thought of having her refer to him as "Daddy Dom".

That would sound fucking hot coming from her, that's what he knew.

If only Rhea had changed for him he wouldn't have had to leave her for the better woman. But that wasn't his problem.

He liked the look in her eyes when she looked at him kissing Liv.

The way that she seemed to want him but knew she couldn't have him anymore.

That was what he wanted from Rhea. To see her desperate for him, to see her crying over the fact that she wanted him back. He wanted to see her begging for him back, to see the way he broke her heart but make her still want him.

But he saw the look in Liv's eyes whenever she looked at Rhea.

Even though he was pretty damn slow, he wasn't a 100% dumbass.

Liv was in love with Rhea.

He knew it.

But on the other hand, he still had feelings for Rhea. Having purposefully reposted photos of her crying, mocking her just to see her furious replies and insults.

He didn't care if he was being obsessive, controlling over something he wouldn't ever control.

But Rhea was going to be his.

Scratch that, she WAS his. She just didn't know it.

It would be just like before.

Sami was desperately worried. Roman was back.

Jey.

He was all Sami could even focus his mind on, while the rest of his thoughts ran wild. He didn't...he didn't understand. How the fuck was Roman back? It felt like it had only been a few weeks since he had left.

Jey.

God, what was Jey going through? His mind was running a mile a minute, terrified for his best friend and ex. He desperately wanted to go find him, wherever he was, comfort him, tell him he'd never have to go back.

But everyone knew it would never stay that way. Jey loved so much harder than he hated. No matter how much trauma Roman gave Jey, the bullshit Jey didn't deserve but Roman put him through anyway, Jey would still love his cousin.

Jey couldn't ever hate Jimmy, or Solo, because like always, he loved harder than he hated.

Sami just prayed that he wouldn't let Roman do the same thing again.

Jey was so, so sweet.

He didn't deserve what Roman did.

And he sure as hell didn't deserve to have it happen again.

He knew Roman would do whatever it took to get Jey back, but most of all, to keep Jey away from Sami. Roman would have never approved of their relationship, which is the exact reason Jey and him decided to hide it.

When Roman found out, their thoughts were proved.

Roman annihilated Jey.

He completely fucked him up. He beat him down brutally. Jey had told him afterward. Roman had attacked him harder than ever, doing whatever it took, tying Jeys wrists to a pipe and beating him without mercy, repeating that he would never see Sami again. As long as Roman was there, he would never be able to be with Sami, ever. Sami was horrified, especially when he was called to Roman.

Luckily, Roman didn't beat down Sami. But he gave him an ultimatum.

If Sami "betrayed" them, hit Roman with a steel chair, and left, Jey wouldn't be attacked anymore. If he refused...Jey got attacked every day, worse and worse until he had to take medical leave. He gave the choice to Sami.

But they both knew it wasn't a "choice".

It was a threat.

Realistically, it was Roman saying, "Leave and betray his trust, or risk the love of your life getting beaten down on a daily basis".

And both Sami and Roman knew what Sami would choose.

He would never put Jey through that.

So he betrayed the love of his life on Roman's orders, and watched the love in Jey's eyes slowly burn out, replaced with shock and a broken, shattered look as he stared at his love of his life, standing over Roman with a steel chair, and not even noticing the smirk on Roman's face as he 'crumbled' from the strong force of the impact and the oh-so-sad "betrayal".

Jey looked so shattered when Sami stared into his eyes.

"Why'd you do this? Why? I thought you loved us...I thought you loved me..."

That was all he could see in Jey's eyes. And he wished he could tell him the truth. But he couldn't.

He never could.

He remembered the first time he truly admitted his feelings to Jey.

-Flashback-

Jey was so pissed. Since when the fuck were they letting in "honorary members" to the Bloodline? I mean, it was LITERALLY in the name.

He stared at the so-called new member. 'Sami Zayn'.

What fucking name was that?

Ew.

And of course, Ro just had to assign Sami to Jey's protection, helping him during matches and any backstage interactions.

Ugh.

Jey reluctantly obeyed, knowing not to question Roman's orders. That was a fucking death sentence in itself. He had to follow him around, guide the redhead on how the bloodline worked, how they played the numbers game, etc.

Jey noticed Sami constantly staring at him. What the fuck was this man doing? Was he TRYING to get on Jey's nerves?

"Aye, you mind?" Jey snapped, hostility lacing his voice as Sami looked surprised at Jey even talking to him. "Uh, yea, I'm talkin' to you," Jey assured, taking a once-over of Sami. He was...annoyingly cute. Like some puppy asking for attention.

"You think you could stop lookin' at me like some puppy begging for attention?"

"Uh, yeah," Sami said quickly, diverting his gaze from Jey as he slightly blushed in embarrassment. Jey raised an eyebrow but ignored it, as Sami seemed to repeatedly try to get Jey to talk to him.

"Yo, I don't want to talk to you. Why the hell do you keep trying?"

"Maybe...Maybe I want to talk to you, instead of sitting in silence like a damn introvert."

"Well, I don't."

Sami seemed to sigh, looking away from him as if he was genuinely annoyed. Jey sighed back, slowly speaking again.

"Why exactly, do you want to talk to me?"

"Well, you're super cut off and the rest of your family seems pretty fine with me. Why are you the only one who seems to not trust me?"

"You ain't blood. That's it. Nothing personal."

"Well, I'm gonna keep trying to talk to you."

"Please don't."

"Not optional," Sami replied, determined, and Jey desperately hid the smile that threatened to come on at Sami's pout.

Over the days, Jey started to like Sami's attention. Just a bit.

One day, though, Sami wouldn't say anything to him. Jey hated it, but he was mentally begging that Sami would talk to him. It had started to become the highlight of his day, in all honesty.

"Why aren't you talking to me?" Jey questioned, slightly pouting, frustrated that this usually persistent redhead wouldn't talk to him.

"I thought you didn't want me to talk to you." Jey froze- shit, had he said that?

He was starting to realize that wasn't true.

"Maybe I don't feel that way anymore." Sami seemed to perk up, slightly smiling. "Aye, I said maybe." Sami's smile didn't go away. Damn, he hated him. He was such a fucking sweetheart, always smiling and always so damn nice.

"So I'm making progress."

"No one said all that, aight?"

"Progress?"

"No."

"Progress?"

"No."

"Progress?"

"Ugh." Jey rolled his eyes, annoyed but slowly smiling at the scruffy-like puppy of a man.

Sami soon became unrelenting, and Jey missed his presence when he was gone and adored it when he was there. One day, Jey was annoyed because Sami wasn't fucking there. He had been gone for 2 whole hours!

That is, until a hand suddenly grabbed Jey's shoulder and Jey on instinct pinned the person to the wall, realizing it was Sami.

"SAMI!" Jey yelled, hugging him tight as Sami smiled, hugging him back.

As they pulled away, Jey realized what was happening.

His face, mere inches from Sami's, staring into his eyes. God, let this not be a dream.

Jey slowly pushed Sami against the wall he had just had him pinned, to, and slowly started to lean in. And Sami didn't pull away.

Jey felt the softness of Sami's lips, slowly pulling his hand into Sami's long, red hair and pulling him even closer. It was soft, long, and it took their breaths away. Neither of them expected this would be what would happen.

It was something they both had felt for a long time now, though. And they acted on it.

As their lips parted from the others, Jey gently leaned his forehead against Sami's, eyes closed, and slowly smiling, interlocking his fingers with Sami's. This was all he wanted.

"God, I love you," Jey whispered, laughing gently with Sami.

"I love you too, Uce" Sami murmured back, gently kissing him again.

Over the days, Sami was all Jey wanted.

He would come up behind Jey, put his chin on Jey's shoulder, and gently kiss his neck. Jey would lie his head in Sami's lap while he rested after particularly brutal matches or workouts.

It was everything they dreamed of.

Jey realized the second Sami 'betrayed' the family, exactly what he felt, and how his tears proved it.

Sami.

Sami Zayn was the love of his life.

And Sami knew it too.

Sami thought back to that incredible day and those incredible days that followed.

All he could hope...
