β€œCedric,” she whispered as the memory ended and the pain of cruciatus came back to her. It’s filling her nerves, and veins, through her brain. Her body is shaking as she lets out a loud scream to let the pain out as she also feels the disgusting licking on her arms and neck and face from the only werewolf he knew that was almost as mad as Bellatrixβ€” Fenrir. The same mad werewolf that caused her father’s sufferings every month.

β€œAww,” Bellatrix cooed. β€œThe dear mudblood is thinking of her dearest boyfriend… too bad he’s dead.” She can’t get to look at her now, her body’s too weak and trembling. Her body is shaking and she feels a weird and painful tugging on her inside, she screamed. Bellatrix sighed. β€œYou want to join him, then? Well then, the little mudblood’s wish is my command. Avada Kedav—”

She didn’t know what happened. Her world suddenly shifted and twisted, and then, nothing.

Β

β€”
β€œWould you come here, Edward?” Aro’s sickly sweet tone made him look up at them.

β€œWhy?” he asked. β€œAre you denying me my death again?”

He couldn’t see why every time he’s asking the Volturi to end his godforsaken life, they always refuse. He already had hurt Bella, and he refused to hurt her anymore. Bella’s a dear girl, and he led her on just because she was his singer and her mind is blocked from his gift. Yes, he’s horrible.

At least by death, he can be assured that if he would ever have a next life, he would find her.

His dear girl...

He would find her, be with her.

That thought made him smile. His girl would have come of age now, she’s already legal in the wizarding world and he still has the gift that he was supposed to give her the moment she turned 17 when he was still human.

There’s no way he can give her that now.

β€œEdward, would you mind going up here?” Aro requested again, holding out his hand to him, telling him he needs to hold him too.

He needs to see something.

Edward swallowed down a lump on his throat before slowly stepping forward to oblige to the vampire’s order. He held his hand out to him and rested his hand on Aro’s. He frowned when Aro’s facial muscles grew into an abnormally sickly sweet smile.

β€œOh Edward, my dear,” he started. β€œI’m afraid I must deny you your request again.” He knew it. β€œYou see, you need now to go home to your family, they are waiting to see you.” Aro gave him a look of finality. A look that he had given him when he gave him the potion more or less than twenty years ago. β€œGo, dear.”

Still swallowing his denied rejection of an easy death, he stormed his way out of the throne room of the Volturi’s, and his phone rang. He sighed deeply when he saw Alice’s name as the caller. He swiped the answer button up and put the phone in his ear. β€œWhat, Alice?”

β€œEdward, you have to go home.” Edward frowned at the way Alice spoke to her. She was in a hurry, and he could sense that she’s panicking. β€œYou have to go home. Now!”

β€œWhat’s happening, Alice?” he asked.

β€œIt’s an emergency.”

πΉπ‘’π‘π‘˜.

He audibly swallowed when he thought of Bella, and Victoria. Did Victoria make her way to Bella? β€œIs it Bella?”

β€œNo!” Alice practically exclaimed. He can hear her breaths and the panic in her voice increasing. β€œBut I will explain as soon as you get here! I already arranged your flight, you have to get here. Now!”

As he ended the call, he slightly bit his lower lip and ran to go home using his vampire speed. By the way Alice’s voice sounded, he really needs to get home now.

β€”
Alice felt rigid.

She just got home after checking on Bella who she saw jumping on a cliff when she saw it.

Another vision.

She held onto the door frame as she watched the vision through her mind. She braced herself, preparing to see Bella’s fate, but she saw no Bella.

β€œNo,” she answered. β€œI need to call Edward. He needs to come home.”

β€œWhat is in your vision, Alice?” Carlisle asked and Alice looked at him right in the eyes.

β€œSomething Edward would deeply regret if he doesn’t go home now.”
