The forgotten grounds
The doorway groaned as it slid open, revealing a dark passage beyond. A gust of stale air rushed past them, carrying the scent of dust, old parchment, and something else—something faintly metallic, like the remnants of magic long forgotten. Â
Isagi tightened his grip on his wand, his pulse quickening. Â
"Well," Reo muttered, stepping forward cautiously. "I was expecting something a little less… creepy." Â
Rin didn’t respond. He was already scanning the shadows, his stance rigid and ready for anything. Â
Isagi took a breath and stepped inside. Â
The moment all three of them crossed the threshold, the stone door rumbled shut behind them, sealing them in. Â
A single line of glowing runes shimmered along the walls, illuminating the narrow corridor ahead. Â
"Looks like there’s no turning back now," Isagi murmured. Â
Reo let out a breathless laugh. "Great. Love that for us." Â
Rin shot him a look. "Let’s just keep moving." Â
They pressed forward, the silence heavy around them. The air grew colder with each step, and the walls seemed to stretch endlessly, curving in unnatural ways. Â
Then, the corridor opened into a vast chamber. Â
And there, in the center of the room, stood something impossible. Â
A floating, silver-hued book.Â

The Book of the Astralis Â
The book hovered in midair, its pages fluttering as if caught in a nonexistent breeze. The cover was inscribed with unfamiliar symbols, pulsing faintly with an otherworldly light. Â
Isagi swallowed. "That… definitely wasn’t in the Hogwarts archives." Â
Reo circled the book cautiously. "So… do we touch it, or does it curse us if we do?" Â
"Only one way to find out," Isagi muttered. Before Rin could protest, he reached out and placed his fingertips on the cover. Â
The moment he made contact, a surge of energy shot through him, and the book snapped open. Â
A deep, echoing voice filled the chamber. Â
"The Astralis Beast is not lost. It waits for the one who seeks with true intent." Â
Isagi’s heart pounded.
Reo’s Jaw dropped. “What. The. Fuck. Did… did that book just talk?"
Rin’s gaze was sharp. "It’s enchanted. But by who?" Â
The book’s pages flipped rapidly, as if searching for something. Then, it stopped. Â
A single page glowed, revealing a map—not of Hogwarts, but of a place deep beneath it. Â
Reo’s eyes widened. "No way. Is that…?" Â
"The catacombs," Isagi whispered. "That’s where the Astralis Beast is." Â
Rin frowned. "How do we know this isn’t a trap?" Â
"We don’t," Isagi admitted. "But we’ve come this far. Are we really going to stop now?" Â
Rin sighed. "No. But we need to be careful." Â
Reo grinned. "Agreed. This is getting fun." Â
Isagi smirked, his grip tightening on his wand. They had their first real lead. Â
And now, their search for the Astralis Beast had begun. Â
