Chapter 15

The journey to Paris was meant to be a surprise. Harry had planned everything down to the last detail, enlisting Hermione’s help to craft the perfect itinerary. He knew Draco would love the elegance and magic of the City of Light, and Harry was determined to give him an unforgettable experience—one that showed just how deeply he loved him.

Draco, of course, had been skeptical. “You’re terrible at keeping secrets, Potter,” he’d teased the week before when Harry had slipped and mentioned something about “packing warm clothes.”

But now, as they stood on the balcony of their suite at the Hôtel de Sorcellerie, Draco was utterly speechless. The view stretched out before them, the Eiffel Tower shimmering in the distance, and the Seine glittering with the reflections of the city lights.

“It’s…” Draco trailed off, his silver eyes wide as he took in the sight.

“Perfect?” Harry offered, stepping up behind him and wrapping his arms around Draco’s waist.

Draco leaned back against Harry’s chest, his lips curving into a soft smile. “It’s incredible.”

Harry pressed a kiss to Draco’s temple. “Just wait. This is only the beginning.”

The next morning, Harry took Draco to Rue de Magie, a hidden street in Paris known for its magical boutiques. Draco’s eyes lit up as they wandered from shop to shop, admiring everything from enchanted perfumes to bespoke robes that shimmered like moonlight.

At one boutique, Harry insisted Draco try on a set of silk robes in a soft lavender shade. Draco hesitated at first but relented when Harry flashed him that irresistible grin.

When Draco stepped out of the fitting room, Harry felt his breath catch. The robes clung perfectly to Draco’s figure, the delicate fabric accentuating his lithe frame.

“You look stunning,” Harry said, his voice low and full of awe.

Draco rolled his eyes, though his cheeks flushed. “You’re biased.”

“And yet I’m still right,” Harry countered, pulling him close. “We’re getting these.”

Draco opened his mouth to protest, but Harry silenced him with a quick kiss. “Let me spoil you, Draco. You deserve it.”

---
As the sun began to set, Harry led Draco to an enchanted rooftop restaurant overlooking the Eiffel Tower. The terrace was adorned with floating candles, their soft light casting a golden glow over the intimate tables. A string quartet played softly in the background, adding to the romantic atmosphere.

Draco looked around, his expression a mix of surprise and delight. “You planned all this?”

Harry grinned, pulling out a chair for Draco. “Every last detail.”

They dined on exquisite French dishes, each course more magical than the last. Draco couldn’t help but laugh when their dessert—a delicate soufflé—transformed into a cloud of edible stars.

“You’re ridiculous,” Draco said, his voice warm and affectionate.

“And you love me for it,” Harry replied, reaching across the table to take Draco’s hand.

Draco didn’t respond with words. Instead, he squeezed Harry’s hand, his silver eyes shining with unspoken emotion.

---
After dinner, Harry led Draco to the base of the Eiffel Tower, where a private carriage awaited to take them on a moonlit tour of the city. The carriage was enchanted, floating gently above the streets and offering a breathtaking view of Paris.

As they passed over the Seine, Harry pulled Draco close, wrapping his arms around him. “Are you happy?” he asked softly.

Draco turned to face him, his expression uncharacteristically vulnerable. “I’m more than happy,” he said. “I didn’t think… I didn’t think I could have this. Us. You.”

Harry cupped Draco’s face, his thumb brushing over his cheek. “You deserve all of it, Draco. And I’m going to spend the rest of my life making sure you never doubt that.”

Draco’s breath hitched, and for a moment, he couldn’t speak. Instead, he leaned in, capturing Harry’s lips in a kiss that was soft but filled with the depth of his feelings.

---
When they returned to their suite, Draco thought the night was over, but Harry had one final surprise. He led Draco out onto the balcony, where a small, enchanted box rested on the table.

“What’s this?” Draco asked, arching a pale brow.

“Open it and see,” Harry said, his grin betraying his excitement.

Draco lifted the lid to reveal a delicate silver bracelet, adorned with tiny emeralds that matched his eyes. The bracelet shimmered faintly, enchanted to glow whenever Harry was near.

“It’s beautiful,” Draco said, his voice barely above a whisper.

Harry took the bracelet and gently fastened it around Draco’s wrist. “I wanted you to have something to remind you that I’m always with you, no matter where we are.”

Draco looked at the bracelet, then back at Harry. “You’re insufferable,” he said, though his tone was soft and full of affection.

“And you love me for it,” Harry replied, pulling Draco into his arms.

As they stood there, wrapped in each other’s embrace, the lights of Paris sparkling around them, it felt like the rest of the world had fallen away.
