"Holy shit what happened to you?"

Taehyun sat next to Soobin staring at him curiously yet concerningly. The younger boy reached for Soobin's face causing him to wince at the direct touch of his bruised cheek.

"Got in a little...scuffle" Soobin turned his face away from Taehyun trying to switch the attention off of him.

"Well no shit you did but who the hell did you fight?"

Before Soobin could answer Yeonjun walked into the cafeteria with a group of his friends being loudly and livelier than ever. Soobin rolled his eyes and turned his attention back to his friend.

"You fought Yeonjun?" Taehyun looked from him to Yeonjun to Yeonjun to him again eyes darting quickly brain clearly racking in the spot on observation. Soobin looked at Yeonjun again and noticed his obvious more bruised face, Soobin fucked him up pretty badly. Soobin only had a slight bruise on his left cheek while Yeonjun had a visible black eye, bruised nose, and bruised cheek. Soobin smiled knowing he was the cause of such affiliations.

"Is it that obvious?" Soobin laughed, taking a bite of his sandwich turning his gaze back to Taehyun.

"For people who don't know you, I say no. I on the other hand know the long dragged out beef you two have. Spill what happened" Taehyun grabbed Soobin's sandwich taking a bite from it as well.

"Okay first of all you are greedy as hell you have an untouched sandwich right in front of you yet you choose to steal my last few bites?" Soobin pouted a bit while reaching for his sandwich.

"Hello my favorite people in the world–what happened to your face hyung" Beomgyu and Hueningkai arrived with their lunches taking a seat with the two boys. Beomgyu reached for Soobin's face holding his hand under his chin examining the bruised boys face.

"That's exactly what he was about to tell me" Taehyun interjected

Soobin softly moved away from Beomgyu's touch guilt festering in his heart now avoiding eye contact. Sighing Soobin roughly put his hands in his hair trying to self soothe himself. How can he tell Beomgyu he fought someone...sure he didn't directly promise Beomgyu to not fuck up Yeonjun but he promised it to himself and now he feels like a disappointment. Who would want to be friends with a hot head that can't keep his hands to himself?

"I...Fuck" Soobin muttered under his breath in clear distress, the other boys stared at him worried about why he was reacting like this.

'Did...did your dad hit you or something? You're scaring me now hyung" Beomgyu said placing his hand onto Soobin's shoulder.

Hearing that caused Soobin's head to shoot up quickly shaking his head and hands, "No! He would never it's not that...I just don't want to disappoint you" Soobin looked at Beomgyu whose eyes were filled with nothing but worry.

"Hyung you could never disappoint me. Just relax I promise it's fine" Beomgyu gave him a warm smile patting him on the back, That was enough to ease his anxiety.

"Yeah hyung you could literally do anything and Beomgyu hyung would still take your side. Honestly I'm starting to think he's in love with yo–" Before Hueningkai could finish he winced in pain as he looked at Taehyun's direction.

"Oh sorry I didn't mean to do that" Taehyun gave a clear lie that Soobin could pick up on. Kai pouted at Taehyun which made him sigh and give him a hug. "I'm sorry cutie I actually did not mean to. Let me kiss your booboo better" Taehyun's tone was like a mom caring for her baby causing kai to laugh at his antics.

"Okay focus enough baby talk. Spill it hyung" Beomgyu stopped staring at the two boys and starred at Soobin now.

"Guys I tried my absolute best not to do this I need to preface this before I even start. Like when I say I was giving mother Theresa I mean it like I really–"

"Holy yapper just get on with it boy" Kai interrupted rolling his eyes.

"Jesus impatient as hell and don't speak informally! Okay sooooo issortofbeattheshitoutofyeonjunyesterday" Soobin said quickly while looking away from the 3 boys

"YOU WHAT" Kai stood up from his chair scanning around the room spotting a clearly beaten up Yeonjun. "HOOOLYYY SSSHIT you actually did hyung" he lowered his voice as he sat back down

"How the fuck did you understand that Kai? I genuinely did not understand a single word" Beomgyu darted back in forth between Soobin and Hueningkai.

"Soobin said he beat the shit out of Yeonjun yesterday" Hueningkai started laughing loudly

Beomgyu stared at Soobin watching to see if he was going to deny or confirm it. His gaze wasn't disappointment but was instead filled with curiosity and a hint of happiness.

"Yeah so I tried my best to ignore him and his berating but like I don't know I'm super fucking stressed and he interrupted my studying to be a dickhead and all I remember is giving him an ear full, him giving me one back, and the next thing I know my fist connected to his right cheek and then he hit back and then he had a fucking bloody nose"

"Hyung you got to teach me how to fight at this point" Taehyun said laughing at the story being told to him

Soobin looked at Beomgyu who was also laughing which caused Soobin to calm down even more due to the reaction. He expected Beomgyu to quite literally stop being his friend right there and then.

"Now why would I be disappointed hyung? You beat the shit out of your bully I'm fucking proud of you" He held his fist up clearly wanting a fist pump which Soobin did.

"I know you were his little cheerleader back in the day I didn't want to disappoint you that I beat your favs ass" Soobin said laughing while eating his food again. Suddenly he was starving it had to be the anxiety easing away. He lied about the exactly reason because this was a conversation if it was had he would prefer for it to be just them two. Soobin really values Beomgyu in his life and would never want to push him away.

"Oh how funny. I was 10 man cut me some slack please. I haven't been his 'cheerleader' since he started bullying my best friend, I would never like someone who did that to you hyung" Beomgyu once again put his hand onto Soobin's shoulder in a comforting way smiling brightly at him.

"So what now though? You beat his ass do you think he's gonna keep trying you or do you think you knocked some sense into him?" Kai said finally eating his lunch now without laughing.

"Knowing him it's unpredictable. He might do it harder to sooth his broken ego or he will hopefully get the message and stop fucking with me" Soobin looked up scanning the cafeteria and that's when he noticed a familiar face walking towards the table. Before Soobin could warn the others Yeonjun already took a seat next to Soobin.

"Hello friend" He said smirking at Soobin. Something about his tone and demeanor was off...he just fought him yesterday he shouldn't be acting cocky with Soobin.

"What do you want?" Beomgyu answered for Soobin anger showing in his face as he grabbed Soobin closer to him and far from yeonjun

"Dont worry I wont take your boyfriend from you I'm not a home wrecker. Keep him on a tight leash though seems like his heart isn't only for you or other places on his body" Yeonjun's eyes were fixed on Soobin, he couldn't read the older's expressions and how he meant that comment but one thing Soobin knew was that yeonjun seen it. Fuck...

"He's not my boyfriend and even if he was I'm sure you would never get in between us" Beomgyu blew air out of his mouth which was his habit whenever he was extremely angry. Sensing his anger Soobin turned to face Beomgyu placing a hand on his shoulder forcing Beomgyu to look at soobin instead of yeonjun.

"Taehyun, take Beomgyu and Kai somewhere else please" Soobin said calmly and without another word Taehyun nodded and walked over to Beomgyu grabbing him by the wrist lightly.

'Let's go Beommie" Taehyun said softly which caused Beomgyu to close his eyes and nod in agreement.

'If anything happens text me and I'll come personally fuck him up...again" Beomgyu said looking at Yeonjun one more time before walking out with the two other boys.

"Wow I'm actually jealous I wish I had a boyfriend like yours Soobinie" Yeonjun fake clapped while dramatically wiping a fake tear.

"He quite literally is not my boyfriend. You seem too fixated on that idea...are you jealous by any chance?" Soobin inched closer to Yeonjun staring directly in his eyes provokingly. Yeonjun's cheeks had a light hue of pink light enough for Soobin to notice which sent laughter out of his mouth before he could process anything.

"Holy shit you really are. Listen man we aren't dating so being jealous over me being closer to Beomgyu than you is really pathetic don't you think? I think I understand why you dislike me so much. You obviously like Beomgyu, damn man you could have just said that instead of whatever the fuck these last 6 years were" Soobin was now clutching his stomach tears actually streaming down his face.

Yeonjun's face showed no emotion he stared emptily at Soobin which halted Soobin's laughter.

"Was I wrong?" Soobin said taking a final bite of his sandwich

"No you were spot on" Yeonjun said smirking

That was not the answer he expected so upon hearing that Soobin choked on his sandwich. Gasping for air Soobin patted his chest easing the sandwich smoothly down the right tract.

"Holy shit really?" Soobin said staring at the elder

"Obviously fucking not you idiot. I just wanted to entertain your cuck ideas" Yeonjun now laughed at Soobin

"Cuck? What are you even saying now"

"Well you obviously like Beomgyu yet yesterday your little friend over there was dying to greet me. Don't you think that's a bit cuckish?" Yeonjun was now close to Soobin's face.

Soobin was now the one turning obviously pink he could feel the heat in his ears but not because of the proximity, okay maybe a little, but because his suspicious were right. Yeonjun did notice.

"I don't know what you mean all I remember is beating your ass" Soobin forged ignorance instead of confronting something he would do anything to erase from his memory. He shrugged his shoulder.

"So you got like a blood kink? Or is it the fact you punched me that got you going? Like do you like degrading someone or is the physicality of it?" Yeonjun put one hand under his chin and continued to look at the younger.

"None to all of those because I really do not know what you mean" Soobin rolled his eyes, frankly he does not know exactly how he got hard over the state of Yeonjun but he didn't want to think about Yeonjun nor anything about yesterday.

"Right...listen you can be honest with me clearly you like me–" Before Yeonjun could finish Soobin laughed so loud that majority of the cafeteria was staring at Soobin now. Gasping for air Soobin had to repeatedly wipe the tears that was streaming his face now. After laughing for what felt like an eternity Soobin blew air out of mouth to regroup himself.

"You are funny I will give you that" He said out of breath.

"I'm not telling a joke, you obviously do" Yeonjun's face was painted with annoyance from being laughed at.

"Get your head out your ass man I obviously do not. Even if you we were the last people on earth I still would never like you, holy shit you're funny. I don't even know why I'm still talking to you, maybe the guilt from your fucked up face messed up my conscious but this conversation is over. Fuck off." Soobin grabbed his lunch plate walked to the trash and threw it away.

His thoughts were filled with nothing but that conversation he had with Yeonjun earlier which exactly is what he did not need right now as he was studying in the library with the boys. Why would he say 'obviously' as if this was something apparent? Why would Soobin fight someone he liked like wouldn't that deflect the whole liking part? Soobin continued to think about what was so apparent to Yeonjun that Soobin could not pinpoint how he came to such a ridiculous conclusion.

"Earth to Soobin!" Taehyun yelled quietly enough to catch Soobin's attention whilst snapping. "Dude I've been calling your name for a minute now what are you even thinking about"

Soobin rolled his eyes, "Nothing...what do you need?" He said closing his notebook while stretching his back.

"We said we are going to this party later tonight and if you wanted to maybe go" Taehyun did his best puppy dog eyes he could do.

"Ew stop doing that you look cock-eyed. Y'all know me and parties are like water and oil"

"Okay but sometimes they mix soooo that sometimes should apply to tonight hyung! You should take a breather all you do is study and stress it's okay to be a teenager sometimes. You are only a teenager once" Taehyun said which caused Beomgyu and Kai to chuckle a bit but nod in agreement.

Soobin can't even argue back because he knows what Taehyun said was very true "God I hate how logical you are. You are going to make a great lawyer very convincing" Taehyun faked put his hair in his ears clearly soaking in the compliment thrown at him.

"So it's settled tonight we get fucked up and have some fun and lock in again tomorrow?" Beomgyu said clapping his hand together.

"I don't know about the fucked up part but I do know we will be partying tonight" Hueningkai said shaking his head

"Oh come on it's a high school party thrown by a senior of course we are getting fucked up. Not you though...or Taehyunnie y'all are basically babies." Beomgyu laid back on his chair folding his hand across his chest.

"Like hell I am? I'm older than Kai by 6 whole months we are only in the same grade because I have a late birthday just like soobin over there"

Soobin laughed at the younger boys remark something that was always a debate in their friend group was age. Soobin is older than Beomgyu by 3 months but Soobin still insists on being called hyung and Taehyun is older than Kai by only 6 months but is still a freshman like Kai.

"Your grade is not in the double digits so I don't care no alc for y'all" Beomgyu stuck his tongue out mocking Taehyun.

"If we are going to be technical no alc for any of us, we are all still underage" Soobin interjected it's not like Soobin cared if they were to drink or not but teasing Beomgyu was a fun for him.

"Morally I cannot let one 14 year old and 15 year old drink near me. None for you ducklings listen to mama Duck" he started to pat both of their heads which Taehyun swatted away softly. Soobin noticed a slight blush forming on Taehyun's face.

Soobin might be a lot of things but dense to others feelings is something he is not. He has known about taehyun's feelings for beomgyu since the first day he hangout with everyone as a quad. Taehyun's gaze yearned for something and how he acted and behaved was clearly an act to appear more older to impress beomgyu. It was cute to witness young love but Beomgyu is as oblivious as it comes Taehyun's feelings have not been noticed by the brown haired boy.

"I have to agree with this dumbass over here. I don't want you guys to get drunk and that applies to you too Beomgyu!" Beomgyu's head violently turned to stare at Soobin before he could even open his mouth Soobin began to talk again "Don't even give me some shit like 'm 16 I can drink I'm a junior which means in a few months I'll be a senior and then after that I'll be 18 which means I'm basically 19 so I should start pregaming by building my tolerance' shit you always give me. If the boys can't drink we shouldn't as well it's only fair, right?"

Taehyun and Kai nodded in agreement while Beomgyu pouted his lips throwing an obvious fit that Soobin hit the nail on what he was going to argue for.

"Whatever, let's get out of here my ass is about to fall asleep for the 10th time" Beomgyu said still pouty.
