Walburga's Imprisonement
As Walburga enters her room, a room far away from Orions she realises someone has been there. She runs quickly to the hidden safe behind her portrait filled with letters to and from Charlus.
The safe was empty.
Walburga begins to panic, wondering who took them. She didn’t want them to be in the wrong hands. She quickly looks around her room.
“Accio, letters”, she says. She waits a minute realising the letters aren’t coming.
As she sits on her bed, she hears the unmistakable steps of her husband Orion. He’s never down this wing of the manor she thought. Walburga begins to fret. She fixes up her black hair and makeup, not allowing Orion to see her less than The perfect Black, she was.
“Looking for this dear wife”, Orion says angrily.
Walburga turns around, heart dropping, seeing the pile of letters in Orion’s hands. Fuck, she thought. How was she meant to explain this?
“It’s not what it looks like, Orion” she quickly said. She hurries over to him quickly snatching the various letters quickly placing them back into the safe, reminding herself to change the password.
“Not what it looks like?
“WALBURGA, YOU ARE IN LOVE WITH HIM, A FUCKING BLOOD TRAITOR, AND IS PLANNING TO LEAVE” Orion shouts.
Walburga begins to cry, “It’s not my fault”, she whispers.
“Not your fault? You were planning to leave this family for a fucking POTTER, what about Sirius, what about me? Why would you want to leave The Most Ancient and Noble House of Black?”, he says.
Walburga begins to feel a rush of anger towards Orion. “Why would I not want to leave?”, she says angrily.
“Fleamont is everything you are not, he is sweet and caring, and HE LOVED ME”, she shouts. “You only see me as a trophy to flaunt to other Sacred 28 families. I am NOT a showpiece. I was forced to marry you, I DIDN’T WANT THIS, and I certainly didn’t want Sirius. Why would I want to raise him in an environment where no love is shown, the walls of this manor are cold like us, Orion”.
“What has this family done for me, Orion? I grew up with scars covering my body from head to toe, and a glamour charm was the first spell I learnt. As soon as our engagement was announced I was trapped, and then with Sirius, I realised I couldn’t stay here. I cannot be the mother he needs me to be.”
“This family has ruined me, they took my life and future from me.”
“Ruined you?”, he says. “We are everything, everyone else wants to be, we are pureblood royalty, better than everyone else, anyone would want this life”.
“I DON’T, I’m living a life I have no desire to have, I gave you an heir, an heir I didn’t want, what more do you want from me? I sacrificed my happiness for this family, but all that matters to this family is to carry on the bloodline and to keep it pure. Toujours Pur, cousin.”
“I want out”, Walburga said quietly.
“What does that mean Walburga, are you a filthy blood traitor like those Potters, are you staying with Fleamont?”
“No, I plan to leave forever in a place where I can restart, I planned to leave Sirius here with you where he can be raised as the perfect Black Heir, alongside Fleamonts son James. The only thing we share Orion, other than one last name is our pureblooded beliefs. I don’t want to interact with mudbloods, but I would to stay hidden. Fleamont and I are over he loves Euphemia, I tolerate you. He gave me an out, years ago, but I said no as I was too scared to leave the family. I sacrificed him for you Orion, so please let me leave.”
“Before I was your wife, I was your cousin, please Orion” she whispers
Orion marches over angrily, red-faced “You’re not leaving, I will force you here. You WILL NOT embarrass the family name, with your silly fantasies” he said.
Orion grabs Walburgas face forcefully, looking into her grey eyes, whispering, “I am going to do everything in my power to make you miserable for the rest of your life, Walburga. You would have wished you never even thought about leaving”
Orion forcefully pushes Walburga onto her bed, placing sloppy kisses on her neck. He vanishes her dress and begins to remove his pants, while Walburga fights against him.
“Maybe we will have another heir, I always wanted two kids”, he says against her skin.
'Please Orion, don’t do this, don’t make me do this”, tears begin to fill Walburgas eyes as she realises she is trapped. As an obedient Black wife, Walburga suddenly remains still, allowing her husband to pleasure himself.
9 Months later
She’s done it again, produced another male heir.
“Regulus Artucurus Black”, she decided to call him. Walburga looks down at the baby, coldness radiating off her.
The baby looked up into his parent’s eyes, staring into his mother’s and father’s grey eyes sensing the look of pride coming from the latter.
The newborn who wasn’t used to the attention began to fuss, and Orion who knew Walburga couldn’t handle crying children began to try and soothe the child. Orion takes the babe outside introducing another male heir to the family.
Walburga then realises she can never leave The Most Ancient and Noble House of Black. Having two heirs meant that she had to stay and take care of them even if she didn’t want to.
Walburga finally realised she could never escape. From this moment Walburga realises, it was better to never feel at all, her life was only going to get worse.
As the baby was put to sleep, Orion approached Walburga.
“You did well, my love” he whispers giving her a kiss to her temple.
Being the perfect wife, Walburga looks up to Orion, giving him a fake smile. “Listen here Orion, I gave you two perfect heirs, I want to no part in this. You will raise them behind closed doors, and I will stay and continue playing the part of a perfect Scared 28 witch, you have your heirs, now raise them”, she whispers in his ear.
Walburga knew she wasn’t able to avoid her two heirs, but she decided she would show them love, the only way she knew how.
Deep down Walburga was glad she didn’t have daughters, as she didn’t want them to have the same fate she had. Just a hundred more years she thought, then she could finally leave this imprisonment. Smiling at the thought of her death, Walburga went to sleep, dreaming of a happy life, a life she wished she had, her mind being her only escape from this mundane life.
