Lantern candles and fairy lights illuminated the backyard as Neville waited anxiously. He was dressed in a forest green suit, Pansy's favorite color. He watched as Scorpius and Rose, linked arm and arm blew bubbles down the aisle. Next came James as ring barer. A very pregnant Hermione as maid of honor, arms linked with Hugo were next. Neville smiled at them all and then turned to look at his Gran who sat in the chair closest to him, beaming, proud of her grandson. Neville looked to their friends who had joined them, The Potters, Luna, Seamus and Dean, Marcus, Millicent, even Daphne. Theo had been trusted just enough to officiate.
Draco peaked out from the house and Hermione with a swish of her hand started the music. A Wonderful World by Louis Armstrong began as Draco stepped out of the house with Pansy dressed in a mid calf lacey white dress. Her black hair adorned a pearl studded headpiece. Neville's eyes lit up the second his saw his soon to be wife. Pansy looked up and blushed as she walked with Draco who had insisted on walking her down the aisle -giving away his best friend to the most deserving man. Pictures would show Neville crying as he watched her, his sweetest Pansy. Pictures would also show when he couldn't wait another second and met her mid way and Draco patting him on the shoulder as he embraced her. He kissed her on the forehead before pulling back to get a good look at her. They mouthed an I love you before holding hands and making it up to the arch that was covered in vines.
Theo let the song finish before he spoke.
"Good friends we are here this evening to celebrate the marriage of Neville and Pansy. Two people who love and cherish every part of the other and who in simple terms are soulmates. Together they are one and their love shines everyday. Both have chosen to say their own vows, Neville If you may."
Neville still holding Pansys hand turn to face her.
"My sweetest Pansy, my gosh do you look breathtaking. Every day I fall more and more in love with you. I knew the day I asked you to that karaoke bar in London that I would marry you. You're my reason to live every day without a single regret. You make me a better man, without you I would truly be lost and I promise every day I will take care of you and make you the happiest woman ever. I promise to support and grow with you through it all. You are the only person I need forever and I can't wait to grow old with you. Pansy I love you today, tomorrow and every day after that."
Pansy who rarely cried had tears streaming down her face. Neville wiped her tears before placing the ring that had belonged to his mother on her finger. Theo who was also teary eyed looked to Pansy, it was her turn.
"Neville. My wonderfully amazing man. The love I have for you is never ending. You fixed me when you didn't break me. You truly saved me in every way a person can be saved. I promise to stand by you no matter the storm. To love you in this lifetime for as long as I can and to love you in every lifetime. Neville I'll always be yours."
Theo sighed with his hands over his heart. Pansy slipped the ring onto Neville's finger.
"By the power vested in me by the department of wizarding marrige services I now pronounce you The Longbottoms! You may kiss!" Theo cheered.
And kissed they did, after a moment Neville dipped Pansy, picking her up as he stood back up and carrying her back up the aisle while everyone cheered.
The reception that followed was extraordinary. Somehow Theo convinced Marcus and Luna to play guitar and sing with him and somehow Draco let him, even joining them. During the first dance the kids blew more bubbles and Ginny and Hermione made it so heart confetti of all sizes shimmered all over the back yard.
"I love you my wife." Neville said while he held Pansy close.
"I love you too my husband." Pansy said.
They held each other close even as the song faded as if they were the only two people around.
It wasn't untill Scorpius pulled on Pansys dress asking to dance with her that they pulled apart. Neville watched as Pansy and Scorpius danced to Scorpius' song of choice, the macarena which apparently Rose had shown to him.
"You did good Nev." Draco said approaching him handing him a beer.
"Thanks. Doesn't she look amazing." He replied
Draco nodded and looked to Hermione who was dancing along with Rose, unfortunately he also caught a glimpse of Theo attempting to do shots with Neville's gran.
"Let him. Pretty sure Gran can out drink him anyways." Neville said with a laugh.
And she sure did. His gran was barely spent when Theo ended up throwing up in a bush. An exhausted Hermione offered to take him inside along with the kids. She gave the newlyweds a long hug before retreating into the house followed by the kids who complained they wernt tired.
For the rest of the night everyone danced and sang away while enjoying the never ending food and drinks. When it finally started to rain everyone headed for the house and when Ginny turned back at the door, Neville and Pansy swayed back and forth under the lights forever The Longbottoms.
