Chapter 2
Harry and Hermione were panting when they finally reached safety after making several apparations to eliminate their tracks. "Shit. Why do we have to be unlucky?" Harry shook his head, grumbling that the incident could have been an effect of his presence.
They set up the tent with what magic they had left before they both collapsed on Hermione's bed. The sound of their stomachs rumbling with hunger suddenly interrupted them before Harry could say anything else. They laughed together at the sound.
"I think the food from Godric's Hollow is still decent." Hermione got up to get a jar of biscuits and some other food that their mother might have cooked. Harry looked at the jar sadly, "If that food runs out, we won't be able to taste Mom's homemade food anymore."
Hermione looked at Harry who was already covered in tears, before rushing to hug him. "Oh little brother, I'll try to remember the taste. So I can make the same thing later, how about that?" Hermione kissed Harry's messy hair lovingly.
It won't be the same! Harry felt like shouting that sentence. But he didn't. His rational brain won this time. Even if it wasn't their mother's, at least it had the same flavor and was equally made by her family members. So Harry just nodded quietly in Hermione's arms.
"I know what you're thinking." Hermione smiled, "I know it won't be the same. I'm sorry for that. I can't change our past."
Harry shook his head. "It doesn't matter. It's equally made by family." Harry smiled weakly, which Hermione returned. They then opened one of the jars that contained pickles and a food dish that contained some seasoned meat.
"Well, at least we'll be able to eat well for some time."
Hermione was greeted with laughter by Harry. "Ron will definitely like it." Harry said absentmindedly. Harry widened his eyes when he realized what he had said. Hermione smiled a little.
"He'll love it."
Harry looked at Hermione with an apologetic look that Hermione ignored. There was silence as Hermione divided the food between the two of them. They had to conserve the food.
"Do you think Remus knows about you?"
Harry broke the silence with his question. Which made Hermione turn to him. "Huh, I hadn't thought of that. Should we contact him?" Harry shrugged.
"It's up to you, I think."
Hermione then asked Harry for a communication mirror. Waiting for someone to answer or appear from the other side. When a Dumbledore-like figure appeared, Hermione asked him to send Remus Lupin to their location. After that request, the mirror returned to being a normal mirror.
"Already. I hope whoever got the message will deliver it soon.”

Ron stared at the wall across from him with regret. Ron knew that he shouldn't have just left Harry and Hermione, but he was so jealous of their dynamic. The damn locket didn't help either. Ever since he'd worn it, he'd heard whispers about how meaningless he was to them. Which, when he thought about it after he got home, was stupid. He knew exactly how much he meant to them.
Ron wanted to hurry up and catch up with them, but mom kept him from traveling for a while. Apparently, because their escape was so sudden, her blood supply was severely lacking. As a half-dragel and half-torvak, Ron had to receive blood more frequently. It frustrated Ron that he couldn't simply request it from his two traveling companions.
The door to his room opened and revealed a woman with a tired look on her face. His mother, Molly Weasley. "Mom? What's wrong?" Ron asked as he got up from his seat. Helping his mother walk. His mother had been hit in the leg after the attack by the Death Eaters a while back.
"I've made some provisions for you to take with you. You can catch up with your best friend soon."
Molly stroked Ron's cheek lovingly. Ron leaned into the warmth of his mother's hand. Recalling the incident a few years ago when his two oldest brothers confronted their parents about the creature seal. Ron admired and was quick to forgive his mother for what she had done, because it was to save them after all and could make their lives safer and more comfortable on Earth.
But her older siblings were not so forgiving. It may have taken years for them to forgive her, but at least they respected their mother. Their father was so angry with Mom, refusing to be in the same room with her. Until their paternal grandmother, Cedrella Weasley, had to intervene. And apparently, Cedrella was also hiding a secret of her own.
"You hate your wife for hiding that?"
Cedrella arrived moments ago, greeted by the coldness of the house due to the months-old confrontation. She put her hand on the tea she had just drunk. In front of her, sat Arthur Weasley, her only son. Molly stood quietly in the corner of the room. Cedrella hummed.
"What about you guys?" Cedrella turned to her grandchildren, who sat side by side on the long sofa on the other side. "Are you angry that your mother hid such an important matter?"
Bill looked at Cedrella as if he saw something strange. "Of course, it's our right!" He said irritably, which was met with nods from Charlie and the twins. Percy on the other hand just shrugged his shoulders, still confused by his own feelings. While Ron and Ginny stared at their four older siblings in annoyance. Molly in the corner of the room just looked down.
"Molly should have said that from the start, Mother. I lived in a marriage full of lies. I'm angry about it.”
Arthur finally raised his voice after Bill. Cedrella took another sip of her tea before turning to Molly. "Well, Molly. Can you tell me again, what was your reason for doing that?" Cedrella smiled gently at Molly, a smile that Cedrella was sure would encourage her.
"To protect them." Molly said softly. "Dragels are dark creatures. Torvak is in the gray area. I can't let them be hunted down and die because of it."
Molly's tears welled up in her eyes, upsetting Ron. Ron immediately stood up and went over to his mother to hug her, followed by Ginny. They tried to calm their now sobbing mother.
Cedrella gave him a sympathetic look before turning her gaze to the rest of the family. "Did you hear the reason clearly?" Cedrella waited for everyone to nod before continuing.
"I do not support Molly's methods." Cedrella saw Bill smile triumphantly. "But it's not like I can't see the point."
Cedrella took a deep breath. "I did the same thing with Arthur. That means if you hate your mother, you must hate me too." Cedrella confessed her secret to the family.
"I'm not from Earth. Yes, I am of the Black family, but I am not from the Earth branch. I come from the Nevarah branch, the realm of protection." Cedrella saw a flash of understanding enter Charlie's eyes. "I am a dragel who is currently on a mission. A mission to rescue and search for lost dragels on Earth."
Cedrella turned to Arthur. "I am a dragel, my dear. You would have almost gotten your dragel heritage if I hadn't sealed it away and forced you to get Torvak's. It would have jeopardized us both if we had been discovered. It would have been strange if you hadn't gotten the inheritance, since I told your father all along that you were Torvak." Cedrella smiled sadly.
"Remember this, Arthur. If you hate your wife. Then you should also hate your mother."
From then on, although their parents' relationship was not as warm as it used to be, at least they respected and appreciated each other. Although Ron could clearly see that his mother was tormented by his father's reluctance to accept her affection. Therefore, Ginny and Ron cooperated and received all of Mom's affection to make up for the reluctance of their father and older siblings. Ginny and Ron's absence this year must have made their mother's life more difficult.
"Are you sure you're going to be okay, Mom?" Ron asked after grasping both of his mother's hands. "I'm afraid to leave you here alone with Dad."
"Your father won't hurt me, sweet boy."
Ron sighed, that wasn't what he meant. But he knew that he wouldn't get any other answer from his mom. Ron then smiled and nodded. "Alright, I'll leave tomorrow." Ron hesitated before looking at his mother in embarrassment.
"Will you help me get everything organized, Mom? And, can I get some vials of your blood? So I get an adequate blood supply?"
His mother smiled fondly, nodding. Ron smiled wider at the nod from his mother. Before dragging his mother to the room where he kept all his clothes.
