The Chocolatier
Summary
Remus Lupin's chocolate shop is where baby Harry and Ginny meet. She's charmed. He's oblivious.(Remus, in the background, is desperately trying not to laugh.)

When she got the crush

The first time the "Ginger kids" (as he later calls them while telling Sirius about his day) come to his shop, they're the only ones there.

It's only been two days since the "Grand Opening" (pretentious title, yes, but it was Euphemia's idea, and Euphemia is not exactly modest. It's been two days, and she's still gloating about how much of a triumph the event she planned was), so it's no surprise he's lacking customers during the lunch hours.

Remus is thinking about what to eat when the door opens with a loud BANG! and a bunch of red-headed kids barge in like a SWAT team.

They're five: a teen dressed in a pristine school uniform with a scowl on his face; two identical twins, seemingly ready to wreak havoc just for fun (Oh, he certainly knows about that); a tall, thin boy who strangely reminds him of James in middle school; and... a small girl in a soccer uniform and windblown hair.

Without a second thought, she approaches him and asks, «Do you sell chocolate?»

He blinks, fighting his first instinct to reply, "You can't read? The sign says 'The Chocolatier'," because you can't be a prick to a child.

«Yes. Do you want something in particular?»

«Everything!» she exclaims, looking around, smiling widely and clapping her hands as she... bounces?

«Ginny, we only have twenty pounds,» reminds her... brother, Remus supposes, the teen with the scowl.

His sister doesn't seem to care. She looks up at Remus, smiling, and cheerfully asks, «Mr. Chocolatier, can we buy chocolate for twenty pounds?»

"Mr. Chocolatier? Padfoot will have a field day with this nickname," he thinks, smiling.

He pats her head and smiles gently. «Let's see what we can find.»

A quarter of an hour later, the door opens again, and a voice he knows very well makes his little customers turn their heads.

«Good afternoon, Uncle Moony,» Harry greets him, calm as always.
With James "ADHD is my second name" Potter as a father, the boy's character is nothing short of a miracle.

He sees the strangers sitting at a table with plates (the desserts were there) and cups of tea, and stops in his tracks.

His "uncle" fully expects him to stand there awkwardly for a while and then run to the back, mumbling an excuse. He's usually very shy around strangers.

Instead, his face lights up. «Ron!» he calls, quickly joining the group and sitting next to the second youngest of the five.

They start chatting, and Moony understands that they are at Hogwarts together.
He hears a couple of names—Hermione? Neville? Draco?—, but the chatter is too quick to really get what they are talking about.

He's turning his head to see if Lily has managed to free herself from her mother-in-law's enthusiastic rants (Harry's birthday is in a month, and it's well-known how important parties are to the Potter family), when he sees Ginny's face.

Ginny, the little tornado who hasn't shut up for a second and probably doesn't know what the word "shy" means, is blushing.
Deeply.
Her cheeks almost matching the color of her wild hair.

She looks at Harry like a fan of Michelangelo looks at the Sistine Chapel.

Like he's a work of art.

Remus glances back at his nephew. Of course, he hasn't noticed.

«This place is your uncle's? Cool! You'll have all the sweets for free!» meanwhile Ron is exclaiming, seemingly ecstatic about the possibility of infinite chocolate.

Ginny is paying close attention, probably not on the food part.
«So he comes here often...» she whispers to herself, her mind already coming up with a battle plan.

"Well," Remus thinks, barely hiding a smirk, "seems like I just found my first regular!"
