Hidden Moments
Summary
Hogwarts was filled with secrets—hidden passageways, forgotten corridors, corners of the castle where no one ever thought to look. For most students, these places were just whispers of adventure, waiting to be discovered. But for Remus and Sirius, they were something else entirely. They were stolen moments. Hidden laughter. A quiet brush of fingers beneath candlelit shadows. No one knew, and that was the fun of it. The thrill of slipping away unnoticed, of finding new places to whisper soft compliments and steal hurried kisses. The castle became their playground, every hiding spot a chapter in their secret story. And as long as no one caught them, the game could go on forever.

In the Abandoned Classroom

It was a damp evening in the middle of October when Sirius led Remus through yet another winding corridor of Hogwarts. This time, however, the air felt thick with anticipation, and Remus couldn’t help but notice the sly grin that kept playing at the corner of Sirius’s lips. It was clear that whatever new hiding place he’d found would be even more exciting than the last.

“Are you going to tell me what this one is?” Remus asked, his voice teasing as they crept past the kitchens, avoiding the bustling students who were finishing their dinner.

“You’ll see,” Sirius replied cryptically, his tone laced with that playful mystery that Remus had learned to adore. “I promise, you’re going to love it.”

They turned down a narrow corridor—one that Remus had never really noticed before. It was hidden behind an ancient suit of armor, almost tucked away from the rest of the castle. The walls were covered with dusty tapestries, and the air smelled faintly of mildew and old books.

“Here,” Sirius whispered, gesturing toward a large wooden door that was barely visible through the shadows. It was old and forgotten, and the brass handle was coated with a layer of rust.

Remus gave him a skeptical look. “What is this place?”

“An abandoned classroom,” Sirius replied with a wink, before pushing the door open. “Welcome to our new hideout.”

The door creaked loudly as it swung open, and Remus stepped cautiously inside. The room was vast, with rows of desks still scattered about in various disarray. Dust covered the windowsills, but the room had a certain charm—a quiet, abandoned elegance that gave it an almost magical feel. Faded portraits lined the walls, and the dim light from the candle sconces cast long shadows that seemed to stretch across the room.

“This is…” Remus began, his voice full of wonder as he glanced around. “This place is huge. And... so empty.”

Sirius grinned as he walked further into the room. “Exactly. It’s perfect. No one ever comes in here, except for the occasional ghost or the caretaker trying to make sure it doesn’t fall apart.”

Remus smirked. “You’ve definitely found the best hidden places, haven’t you?”

“Only the best for you,” Sirius said with a wink, before walking toward one of the large windows. He pushed aside a faded curtain, letting the light from the dying evening sun flood the room. “See? No one will find us here. It’s like our own little world.”

Remus stepped into the center of the room, taking in the view. The sunlight made everything look almost ethereal—dust motes drifting lazily in the air, the golden hue filling the space. There was a beauty in the quiet of the place, something that felt like they were stepping into an untouched corner of the castle, forgotten by time.

“This is incredible,” Remus said softly, his voice almost reverent. “It feels like we’ve discovered a secret room no one else knows about.”

Sirius’s eyes sparkled with excitement as he walked toward Remus, leaning casually against a desk. “That’s exactly it. No one knows. Just us. We get to have this moment.”

Remus smiled at the thought, but his gaze softened as it met Sirius’s. They were alone, surrounded by the silence of the room, the weight of their secret feeling more alive than ever. Remus felt the familiar pull of Sirius’s presence—the warmth, the energy, the way he made everything feel lighter.

“Are you sure no one comes in here?” Remus asked, a mischievous edge creeping into his voice as he moved toward Sirius.

“No one,” Sirius confirmed with a grin, stepping closer. “Now come here.”

Without waiting for another word, Sirius reached out, pulling Remus into his arms. The touch felt like home, like something Remus had longed for without realizing it. He breathed in deeply, taking in the scent of Sirius’s cologne, the faint smell of the room, and the strange sense of contentment that settled over him.

Before he could process anything else, Sirius’s lips were on his—soft, warm, and gentle. It was the kind of kiss that filled Remus’s heart with so many emotions he couldn’t quite put them into words. The world outside the room faded away completely, leaving only the two of them in their secret bubble.

Sirius pulled back slightly, his lips curving into a grin. “What do you think? Nice, right?”

“I think this might be my favorite place yet,” Remus replied, his hand gently tracing the back of Sirius’s neck, savoring the feeling of their closeness. There was a comforting weight to the silence, a calm that wrapped around them like a blanket.

Sirius chuckled, his thumb brushing across Remus’s lips as if memorizing the feel of him. “It’s perfect, isn’t it? We can take our time here. No rush. Just you and me.”

Remus nodded, his heart racing despite the quiet, the secrecy of it all. It felt like they were living in a world of their own, hidden from the prying eyes of everyone else. It wasn’t about what anyone else would think; it was about them, about finding these secret spots to share with one another, creating moments that only they could understand.

He pulled Sirius back toward him, kissing him again, this time a bit more urgent, a bit more desperate. The thrill of it, the knowledge that they were hidden away from the world, made everything feel so much more intense. It was almost as if the secrecy itself was a part of their connection.

After a few moments, they pulled away, breathless but laughing quietly, sharing a look that said everything. “I think we’re going to need to come here more often,” Remus said with a grin.

“Absolutely,” Sirius replied, his voice full of promise. “This place is too good to leave behind.”

They spent the rest of the evening in the abandoned classroom, wandering around the dusty desks, sitting in the sunlight as they exchanged quiet words and secret smiles. It was their sanctuary, a hidden corner of Hogwarts where time seemed to slow, and they could simply be.

As they left the room later that night, carefully closing the door behind them, Remus felt a strange sense of satisfaction. They had found another secret, another place where only they existed in the quiet and the shadows, and he knew they would keep coming back—again and again.
