Day 21 Beastman
The forest was pretty beautiful this of year. Flowers were blooming and filled the air with a sweet aroma you breathed in and sighed out. You continued to walk and walk until you stopped at a few particular flowers that looked beautiful so you stopped by to look at them.
It was nearly noon by now and you had all but spent the entirety of the day just relaxing and keeping to yourself. You didn't have any need to spend hours slaving over a hot stove just to sell goods in town for money. No chores to be done. And no one to entertain really. So you opted to just spend the day leisurely spending time in the beautiful forests surrounding your little cottage and enjoy the free time you had.
However you probably should've expected to expect company just around the corner.
Specifically the kind of a brown striped tail just waving from behind a tree badly hidden from view quickly approaching where you sat picking wild tulips and daisies for decorating your vase back home.
"Miss Y/n!!" You paused hand wrapped around a pink tulip before blinking and looking over your shoulder. A boy with red eyes and a long tanuki tail waving behind him stepped out of the treeline and waved a full arm at you. "Hello, Miss Y/n!!"
Ah. You recognized that Tanuki boy anywhere.
"Hello, Tanjiro!," you greeted back making him smile brightly. "What are you doing out here today?"
The boy flicked his ears in a direction before turning his head. "I made a new friend! Genya!" He suddenly shouted putting a hand to his mouth and facing the brush he just walked out from. "Come say hi to Miss Y/n! She's a good person I promise!"
You turned to that direction...and rose a brow when nothing happened.
Tanjiro frowned. "Come on, Genya. I promise she's not gonna bite!"
"Why the hell do you want to show ourselves to a human anyways?!," a deeper voice called back out from the brush. "She could pull a dagger out on you!"
"Oh come on, Genya! We've known Miss Y/n for years! Just come out already! It's alright to be scared-"
"SCARED!? IM NOT SCARED!!," The voice angrily called back.
"Then why are you hiding?"
"IM NOT HIDING!!!"
"Then come out!"
"FINE!!"
You blinked raiding a brow further and watched. You didn't have to wait long because the sounds of something moving through the brush and branches moving reached your ears. And a moment later someone stepped into the clearing alongside Tanjiro. It was another boy around Tanjiro's age. Only this boy was a good foot taller than Tanjiro or you were, and he dressed entirely in black. But what made him most noticeable (in your opinion) was the large fluffy black wolf ears sprouted from his head and a long wolf tail swishing around behind him.
A werewolf? Dog or wolf hybrid maybe? Or perhaps a Beastman?
Either way he was a young one. He looked a mix of annoyed, cautious, and a big curious as he stared black eyes at you. But Tanjiro didn't waste any time introducing his new friend with a gesture of his hand and s smile at you.
"Miss Y/n, this is Genya! He's really strong and he hunts a lot out here! Miss Y/n is the one that made those delicious muffins you had!"
He stood there arms crossed just seeming to stare at you silently until you chuckled at the boys which just seemed to make the bot flinch hearing a girl giggling at him.
"Aw. You like my cooking? Thank you. Maybe I'll have to bake something just for you seeing as I have an admirer."
An immediate redness spread up his neck and completely over his face.
