Day 19 Octomer
The dark sea was filled with the most bizarre and beautiful creatures. One moment you could see something as beautiful as a rainbow fish or perhaps as friendly as a dolphin. Maybe one day you'll be seeing a few poisonous coral reef snakes only to see a harmless sea turtle the next. One moment you could be playing with seaweed only to die at the jaws of a shark.
There was many things that lurked just under the waters' surface. Some good. Some bad. Some in-between or neutral. Indifferent if you will. However some just chooses to do whatever they dam well pleased. Such being the way you encountered the man at the depths of the sea of rather he found you.
You loved the beach. More than anything else though you loved the independence that you gained with your solitude there. You could kick the sand, run along the shores, you could build sand castles and go swimming. Anything you pleased that wasn't the hellscape back home with your life. Your family didn't really care too much about you other than who they could marry you off too and they succeeded in somehow engaging you off to the wealthiest man in the province. How or why he even accepted it was a mystery to you as he didn't hide his dislike of you either. Perhaps he was only agreeing to have a wife to produce an heir in which case he could've married someone far more suitable to his liking then instead of you.
However the dark beach continued to be your solitude. Sneaking out at night and just relaxing where the darkened waters met the sand. You didn't even suspect the form flowing through the water towards you as you sat upon the rocks. Didn't suspect the figure from the depths. Until something grabbed your legs.
You shrieked out as what felt like wet hands latched onto your ankles and a second layer something horrible rose out from the depths. Water sloshed down from it's body as black tentacles curled and uncurled in the air and wriggling themselves upon the cold rocks. Wrapping themselves around the screaming woman's legs, arms, and torso. One reaching out to wrap itself around her neck. The suction cups digging in sharply into the fleshy skin. A body rose up hunched over before her. Rising and rising up until he leaned up to his full height allowing you to see his entire visage in front of you.
"My. It would seem that I finally got a chance to get the catch of a lifetime.~ Such a lovely state of fear in your beautiful eyes.~"
Blue eyes stared down at her terrified face. Her body wettened by hands cold and drenched coming to caress her cheeks. An almost cooing sound leaving his throat as a hand left your cheek to teasingly slowly move some hair away from your face to tick it behind your ear. A single claw running under her jawline stopping just under her chin and raising her head up more. A way of cold air ghosted over flesh as a maw of fangs sunk ever closer. Manic insanity and desire filling the blue as the multiple grips tightened up and untightened in waves. Shifting. Ever moving. Catching onto the prey.
"Do you know what you do to me?~ Seeing you every night only to know you'll soon warm another man's bed drives a desperate being to do things that he shouldn't be thinking about.~ But you're so delectable in my dreams.~"
"W-Who are you?!," you demanded terrified of what was to come especially as the thing before you giggled in delight.
"Oh, you poor unfortunate soul. Don't you know?" The blue overtook everything as he shifted closer to breath in your ear. Cold breath sending goosebumps on your neck. "I'm your best nightmare.~"
