Chapter 7
“Sev, do you want to go into town together tomorrow? I thought it would be nice to get some books with you since you’ve read everything in the world.” Hermione chuckled, staring at Professor Snape as he was grading essays.
“Town? I mean, sure, but we are definitely not going to Hogsmeade together. You’ll get expelled if people find out you’re dating me,” the man said. He set his quill down and pressed a gentle kiss to her forehead.
“I know. There’s a town near Hogsmeade. I’ve been there with Ron and Harry, and it’s really nice,” she smiled.
“You mean, you and your friends sneaked out.” Professor Snape adjusted Hermione as she stuck her tongue out at his face.
“Ugh, Sev, sometimes you’re actually so annoying… So are we going or not?” asked Hermione, her pale eyes narrowing.
“Do I have a choice? I guess I can’t say no to my Gryffindor princess.” Professor Snape smiled softly at her, then sank back into his essays.
“Why do you love essays so much? I swear you’d rather spend time grading essays than spending time with me.” Hermione pouted, switching into jealousy mode.
Without warning, she ran into his lap and settled herself there.
“In fact, Granger, I’m actually marking yours—”
Before he could finish, Hermione bolted from his arms. She knew she had scribbled nonsense on her last Potions essay, and if he read it now, she was doomed.
“Granger!” Professor Snape yelled.
“Meet outside the castle tomorrow!” his Gryffindor princess shouted.

“You’re late.”
“Precisely, You’re early. I’m actually right on time.” Hermione shot him a glare, then held his hand, walking out of the empty castle together.
As they arrived in the small town, Hermione immediately dragged her professor to the nearest bookshop.
“Severus, how about this one? A Guide to Timeless Potions? Seems nice.” The girl picked up a book with golden-bright letters on the cover, totally captivated by it.
“Timeless Potions? Potion book titles are really going wild these days…” Obviously, Professor Snape wasn’t happy about Hermione’s choice.
“Fine, this one? Rare and Forbidden Brews?” she asked, picking up another book with a green cover.
“Seriously, I think you’re wasting my time.” The man walked away while Hermione rolled her eyes at him.
“Granger, come.” He called.
Hermione came over, and Professor Snape passed her a book.
The Truth Behind Amortentia? Right… She blushed as she remembered how the relationship between her and Professor Snape started.
“Remember the girl who begged for a kiss on her lips? Trust me, Granger, you need this.” The man smirked, walking out of the shop slowly.
After Hermione paid for it, she immediately clutched her hand back onto Professor Snape’s. They were walking on the pavement peacefully—until Hermione saw him.
She stopped instantly, causing Snape to jerk slightly as he was pulled back.
“Darling, can you not stop so suddenly—”
“Max…”
