Chapter 4

"Miss Granger… I beg your pardon?" Professor Snape decided to toy with Hermione, a teasing smirk appearing on his face.

"Sir… I said… can you kiss me…?" Hermione squirmed in his embrace, suddenly realizing how embarrassing it was to say those words out loud. She quickly buried her face in his chest, hugging him even tighter. "And… can you call me Hermione?" she asked softly.

"Sure, Hermione." He murmured, pulling his student closer as he gently kissed her cheek.

"No… I want… I want it on the lips… please?" Hermione pleaded.

She was too adorable for Severus to resist. He bent down, lifted her chin with his long finger, and pressed his lips against hers. He didn’t let go until she was breathless.

Hermione smiled, still clutching her professor’s hand as she swayed slightly.

"Never seen you act so bold, Hermione Granger," Professor Snape remarked, pulling her back into his embrace, refusing to let go.

"It’s the potion! You made me test it!" Hermione protested, her voice rising.

Professor Snape let out a quiet chuckle, patting her head gently. "Shh, you’re too loud," he murmured before pressing a soft kiss to her forehead.
"And don’t think this means you’re off the hook for detention," he added with a smirk. Hermione rolled her eyes at him, clutching to his hand tightly as the man pulled her cheek softly.

"I think we have to go," Professor Snape said as he let go of her hand.

"I don’t want to…" Hermione refused, staring at him with her watery puppy eyes.

"Sweetie, I’ll see you tonight at the Great Hall, okay?" He smiled at her, then left the room.

Hermione stood in front of the mirror, trying to wipe off the evidence that someone had kissed her on her cheeks and lips. After finishing, she headed to the Great Hall for dinner.

"Hermione! Come here!" Ron yelled, stuffing different foods from the table into his mouth.

"Ronald, you are disgusting!" Hermione groaned as she settled into her seat. She quickly grabbed some food before Ron could finish everything. Suddenly, she felt someone watching her. Slowly, she lifted her head and locked eyes with Professor Snape. His expression remained unreadable—he wasn’t smiling or smirking, just… staring at her.

"Hermione, are you okay? You look really red," Harry pointed out, making her jump. She quickly rubbed her cheeks, trying to cool them down.

"I’m actually not that hungry. I’m going back to my room. See you guys later," Hermione said, unable to handle those intense gazes any longer. She decided to escape from the crowded, noisy room.

"Okay, see you later," Ron mumbled, stuffing more food into his mouth.

Hermione walked quietly through the corridor, watching the sunset calmly and thinking about the man who had kissed her earlier. As she turned a corner, she bumped into Professor Snape again.

"I absolutely hate this freaking corner," Hermione muttered, making the man she bumped into laugh.

Professor Snape quickly dragged her into her room, lifted her up, and placed her gently onto her bed before setting some bread in front of her.

"You didn’t eat much at dinner," he said, handing her a small piece of bread.

"Oh, so you were actually watching me during dinner?" Hermione teased but still took the bread from him, chewing it slowly. She made a mess as crumbs started falling from her mouth.

"Look at you, can’t even eat bread properly," Professor Snape said. He reached out, brushing his thumb slowly against her lips to clean them.

"Thanks…" Hermione murmured.

He kissed her forehead again before standing up.

"Goodnight, Hermione."

"Goodnight."
