Virgin Goddess; Hestia
The air felt heavy, thick with an indescribable feeling. It was not malice, not danger, but a presence.
Izuku stepped forward first, with Kyoka at his side, Bell trailing just behind them. His red eyes stayed locked onto the woman before them as he analyzed and calculated everything he knew so far. But Bell’s instincts were screaming at him that she wasn’t human nor of any of the other races that inhabit the world. There was also an issue that was driving Bell insane.
‘Why does her aura feel different than others, except for my Grandpa?’
Izuku, however, looked a bit confused. His green eyes were narrow a bit, his head tilted as he stared at the woman in disbelief. His lips moved, but no words came out.
Kyoka glanced between them, sensing that something was amiss. “Izu,” she murmured, keeping her voice low, “Who is this?”
Izuku, who finally stopped looking at the woman, turned to Kyoka. “She said her name is Hestia.”
The weight of that name dropped between them, with only two of the group members actually recognizing the significance behind that name.
Kyoka blinked. “Hestia…” The name wasn’t entirely unfamiliar. She had read enough about mythology to know it belonged to a goddess.
‘More specifically the goddess of the hearth, family, and home.’ Kyoka thought before she frowned. ‘Why was she here if she’s trying to find her brother, Zeus?’
As if reading her mind, Hestia’s piercing blue eyes met hers and saw a small smirk. “You’re not from this world, are you?”
Izuku stiffened beside her while Bell sucked in a breath. Izuku didn’t react outwardly, but his mind started to immediately raced.
’How does she know?!?’ Izuku, Kyoka, and Bell all simultaneously thought, though they were unaware of it.
Slowly, Izuku tilted his head. “That’s an interesting deduction, Lady Hestia.” He chose his words carefully, watching for her reaction. “But shouldn’t we be the ones asking why you’re here?”
The goddess smiled, which made Kyoka nearly scowl. Her smile was if she knows more than she was letting on. “You’re not wrong.”
Bell, finally shaking off his shock, stepped forward. “Lady Hestia…” His voice was hesitant, yet full of something close to awe. “You said you were looking for your brother. Zeus if I recall correctly?”
Hestia turned to him, her expression softening. “Yes.”
Bell’s fingers twitched at his sides. “But…Zeus hasn’t been seen for over 14 years.”
Hearing that, Hestia let out a sigh, folding her arms. “I was afraid of that.”
Jirou raised an eyebrow. “So, let me get this straight, you’re a goddess, and you had just descended to the lower world, and you’re looking for Zeus?” The goddess gave a small nod.
Jirou crossed her arms, her expression skeptical. “Okay, but why?”
Hestia exhaled, looking up toward the sky for a moment as if gathering her thoughts. After a couple minutes, she turned back to them. Her expression unreadable. “Because something is coming.”
The weight behind those words sent a chill down Bell’s spine.
Kyoka frowned. “Something coming?” Hestia’s nodded as her blue eyes darkened. “A storm is approaching, one that even the gods are starting to be aware of.”
Bell’s throat bobbed. “That’s… vague.”
Hestia smiled grimly. “I know.” She shifted her gaze back to Izuku. “But it’s not a coincidence that you all are here, either.”
Izuku narrowed his eyes. “What do you mean?”
Hestia stepped towards them slowly, until she was standing directly in front of him.
“You and your friends…you are anomalies,” she said softly. “I can sense your own aura and you have no ties to the gods. That alone makes you significant in my eyes.” Hestia, true to her titles, spoke truthfully. Izuku held her gaze as both became silent.
Kyoka’s fingers twitched near her earphone jacks. “And what exactly, do you think we are?”
Hestia studied her for a long moment before smiling again, this time with something almost amused. “You?” she mused. “I think you’re a force of nature.”
Kyoka blinked. “Uh… thanks?”
Bell, still looking a bit overwhelmed, rubbed the back of his head. “But, Lady Hestia… if Zeus isn’t here, what will you do?”
The goddess hummed, shifting her hands behind her back. “I’ll stay for now. This village has no other gods watching over it, and if something truly is coming, I’d rather be somewhere than wandering blindly.”
Izuku tilted his head. “You’re staying here?”
Hestia nodded. “Unless you have an issue with that?”
Kyoka, channeling her inner Bakugo, scoffed. “Not really. Just…didn’t think gods just settled in rural places like this.”
Hestia grinned. “Most gods/goddess wouldn’t even think of coming here. But then again I’m not most gods.”
Bell exhaled heavily, clearly still trying to process everything. “This is… quite a lot to digest.” Kyoka patted his shoulder. “Welcome to our world, Bell.” He let out a breathless laugh.
Meanwhile, a few meters away, Bakugo and Eri watched the scene unfold in front of them. Eri tilted her head. “Who is she?” Instead of responding to her question, Bakugo frowned, arms crossed. “Dunno. But judging by your papa’s face, she’s probably important.”
Eri pouted. “I can’t hear them.”Bakugo hummed moving away and heading to Bell and Gramps’s home. “Not our problem. If it is something very serious, they’ll tell us.”
Still, even as he said that, his crimson eyes remained fixed on the tiny goddess standing in front of his brother and girlfriend. His instincts told him something was happening, something big.
{XXXX}
Bell, how was still trying to process everything, walked beside Hestia as the group made their way back toward his home. His thoughts were all jumbled up, shifting between disbelief and awe.
He had read stories of the gods, had heard of them descending to the lower world, but to meet one, to meet Hestia of all deities, was beyond anything he expected to happen.
He glanced at Izuku and Kyoka, the two lovebirds were walking slightly ahead, speaking in hushed tones. Neither of them seemed as overwhelmed, but there was a quiet tension in Izuku’s posture, as if he were already preparing for whatever came next.
Behind them, Bakugo and Eri trailed at a distance, still uncertain about the goddess’s presence. Eri’s fingers curled into the fabric of Bakugo’s sleeve as she whispered, “Kacchan, do you think she’s nice?”
Bakugo grunted. “Dunno. Gods are weird.”
Eri frowned. “But Bell seems to like her.”
Bakugo just clicked his tongue, clearly not willing to voice his suspicions just yet.
In 30 minutes, at last, they reached Bell’s and Gramps house. The warm glow of the lanterns inside signaled that Bell’s grandfather was already home.
The scent of freshly cooked meat and herbs drifted through the air, making Izuku’s stomach grumble despite the tension in the atmosphere causing everyone to look at him, which in turn made Izuku blush.
Kyoka smirked at him. “Really? Now?”
Izuku scratched his cheek. “What? It smells really good in here.”
Bell hesitated at the door, looking back at Hestia. “Um, Lady Hestia…I should probably warn you, my grandfather can be…a lot.” Those were the best words he could properly use to describe his grandfather. After training with both Izuku and Bakugo, they slowly taught him just how perverse he can be when describing the other gender.
Hestia chuckled. “If I can handle multiple pervert Gods, think I can handle an old pervert man.”
Bell grimaced, but thankfully Goddess Hestia didn’t notice. ‘If only you knew.’ Bell thought as he pushed the door open and stepped inside.
The moment they entered, they found Bell’s grandfather, who was actually Zeus in disguise, lounging at the dining table with a cup of ale in hand, humming a tune to himself.
His white hair was tied back lazily, and his farmer clothes were slightly loose, giving him the appearance of a farmer who had just returned from a hard day’s of work than the once-mighty ruler of the heavens.
He looked up as they entered, his blue eyes twinkling. “Ah! Welcome back you guys! Your just in time for-”
Before he could continue he saw her coming in through the door, and their eyes instantly lock onto each other.
For a moment, silence fell upon the house.
Gramps expression was frozen as his gaze was locked onto Hestia’s form. His blue eyes were wide with fear. His mouth opened and he let out the most pathetic, undignified squeal Bell had ever heard in his life.
“EEEEEHHHHH?!”
The cup of ale slipped from his fingers, clattering onto the table as he scrambled back so fast he nearly tipped his chair over. His entire face went pale, beads of sweat forming on his brow as if he had just seen the grim reaper himself.
Bell, Izuku, Kyoka, and Bakugo all stared in collective disbelief. While Eri blinked. “Why does he look scared?”
Before anyone could answer, Hestia took a single step forward. Her eyes were closed with a smile that looked serene.
But…
A suffocating aura of absolute doom filled the room.
It wasn’t noticeable at first, like a whisper in the air, as everyone could feel a sudden shift in the atmosphere that made the hairs on the back of everyone’s neck stand on end. Then, like a tidal wave, it crashed over them, engulfing them before they even had a chance to move.
The room suddenly felt darker. The shadow's were stretched unnaturally along the walls. The air turned ice-cold, sending a shudder down the spines of everyone in the room, including Izuku and Kyoka that seemed much heavier than when they came across All For One’s killing intent.
Toshinori, who had just returned from gathering supplies, stepped into the room and immediately felt something was wrong. His instincts were screaming danger. His body locked up as if a villain more terrifying than All For One himself had entered the building.
The past users of One For All howled in terror within Izuku’s mind.
“RUN, NINTH!SHE IS NOT TO BE ANGERED!”
“EVEN ALL FOR ONE WOULD THINK TWICE BEFORE CROSSING HER!”
“WHY ARE WE STILL HERE?!”
Izuku, despite his own nerves, mentally scolded them. ‘Not helping!’
Zeus, the once mighty King of the Gods, was trembling. He was shivering like a dog that was force to take an ice cold shower.
He forced a wobbly smile and raised his hands in a placating gesture. “H-Hestia, my dear, lovely little sister! You’re looking radiant as ever! W-What brings you here?”
Hestia’s smile remained. “Oh, you know…”
The aura around her seemed to darkened further as Zeus whimpered.
“… Just looking for my dear older brother,” she continued sweetly. “You remember me, don’t you, Zeus?” Bell has never seen his grandfather so utterly terrified before.
Zeus let out a nervous laugh. “O-Of course! How could I forget my precious little Hestia? You’re so cute and kind and not at all terrifying-”
Hestia’s smile twitched forcing Zeus to immediately backtracked. “I-I mean! You are terrifying but in a benevolent way! Not in a wrath-of-the-gods-will-destroy-me kind of way!”Zeus hastily corrected himself.
Hestia sighed dramatically, shaking her head. “Zeus, Zeus, Zeus… do you have any idea how long I’ve been looking for you?”
Zeus swallowed. “A… A while?”
Hestia’s eyes opened.
A single flicker of unimaginable divine power crackled through the air. Zeus yelped as he ducked behind Bell, using his grandson as a human shield.
Bell looked absolutely betrayed. “Grandpa?! What are you doing?!” Zeus grinned sheepishly. “B-Bell my boy, remember how I said you were special? Consider this an opportunity to prove it!”
Bakugo, watching from the sidelines, let out a short laugh. “Oh, this is amazing.” Kyoka elbowed him. “Be nice.” Kyoka frown but was met with the opposite of what she wanted.
Bakugo grinned. “No.”
Meanwhile, Toshinori was still stuck in his own horror, sweat dripping down his face as he whispered, “What is this feeling? It’s worse than facing All For One.”
One of the past vestiges, En, muttered in agreement. “She is terrifying. Even as a god of the hearth, she is not to be underestimated.”
Izuku, doing his best to ignore the absolute disaster unfolding in front of him, cleared his throat. “Um, Lady Hestia, maybe we should… ease into this conversation?”
Hestia sighed, her terrifying aura finally receding. The room brightened, warmth returning as if the sun itself had peeked back through the clouds. “Fine, fine,” she relented. “I didn’t come here to smite my dear brother anyway.”
Zeus peeked from behind Bell. “You… you didn’t?”
Hestia smirked. “Not today at least.”
Zeus visibly deflated with relief.
Bell, shaking his head, finally pulled away from his grandfather. “Lady Hestia… why are you looking for him?”
Hestia’s playful demeanor sobered slightly. “That young one, is because I have reason to believe that something dangerous is coming. Something even the gods are aware.”
A hush fell over the room.
Izuku frowned. “You mentioned that before. What exactly do you mean?”
Hestia met his gaze. “I don’t know the full details yet, but there are whispers among the divine. Something is stirring. Something that may challenge the balance of our world.”
Toshinori exhaled slowly, straightening himself. “And you believe Zeus has the answers?”
Hestia hummed. “I hope he does.” She turned to her still-cowering brother. “Because if he doesn’t…then we’re all in for a very, verybadtime.”
Izuku exchanged glances with Kyoka and Bakugo. This wasn’t just a simple visit anymore. Something big was coming, and like it or not they were all involved. They just didn’t know it yet, but the wheels of fate have already begun to move.
{XXXX}
The air inside the house was still thick with the weight of Hestia’s words. A warning from a goddess wasn’t something anyone could take lightly. Izuku, Kyoka, Bakugo, Bell, and Eri all sat at the large dining table, watching the goddess intently.
Toshinori stood off to the side, arms crossed, still slightly unsettled by her presence. Zeus, now slightly more composed, sipped at his ale after refilling his. It was as if he was preparing himself for what was to come.
Hestia exhaled deeply and leaned forward, her elbows resting on the table as she clasped her hands together. “I had no intention of coming here,” she admitted. “When I descended, I was meant to arrive in Orario. That was my goal. That’s where most of the gods go when they leave the divine realm. But…”
She paused, her deep blue eyes flickering with something unreadable. “Something called me here instead.”
Bell tilted his head. “Called you?”
She nodded. “It’s difficult to explain. The divine realm is where the gods and goddesses lived for a time, and even ourselves don’t understand everything about its workings. But there was… a pull you can say. Something that felt wrong, or rather, off. It was reaching for me, tugging me away from my original destination. Before I knew it, I found myself descending not to Orario, but in the forest.”
Kyoka frowned. “Do you think it was some kind of divine intervention?”
Hestia tapped her fingers against the wooden table. “Possibly. But if it was, it wasn’t from another god. This didn’t feel like the influence of another deity. It felt…older, if that makes any type of sense.”
Toshinori’s brows furrowed. “Older? What could possibly be older than the gods?”
Hestia shook her head. “I don’t know. But I do know this, when I arrived in this village, I could feel it. That same pull, like I was meant to be here.” Her gaze swept across the group, settling on Bell, then Izuku, and finally Eri.
“I don’t believe it was mere coincidence that brought me here. Something is happening, and I think you, all of you, are at the center of it.”
The weight of her words settled over the group.
Bakugo scoffed, leaning back in his chair. “How awesome is this, more mysterious fate crap we have to deal with. Izuku should I jot this down and say it’s regular Tuesday for us?” His tone bleeding with sarcasm.
Kyoka once again elbowed him. “Have some respect.” Bakugo grunted but said nothing more.
Then, Zeus suddenly let out a deep sigh, drawing everyone’s attention. He set down his cup and ran a hand through his white hair.
“Well,” he said, his voice lighter than his grim expression. “If we’re talking about ‘older things’ and dangers that even the gods are aware of, then there’s really only one place to start.”
Izuku narrowed his eyes. “What do you mean?”
Zeus looked at him, then at Hestia. “The One Eyed Black Dragon.”
The room fell into stunned silence. Bell’s breath caught in his throat. A very particular story that Gramps read to him, the contents weren’t easy to remember but of Albert. ‘Could it be…it’s that dragon?’
Meanwhile, the others reacted differently with Toshinori stiffening, Bakugo looked momentarily serious, Eri clutched the hem of her cloak, her red eyes looking between Zeus and Hestia.
A wad of silence fell over them.
Bell was the first to speak. “…You mean the One-Eyed Black Dragon? The one that escaped the Dungeon all those centuries ago?”
Zeus nodded grimly. “That’s the one.” Bell…he didn’t know how to respond to that.
Izuku leaned forward, his heart pounding. He had read about the creature in some of the old books in Bell’s house, but information was still scarce about it. “What do you know about it?”
Zeus rubbed his chin thoughtfully. “The One Eyed Black Dragon isn’t just a monster. It is the monster. A calamity beyond even the strengths of the Behemoth and Leviathan of legend.
It is the last of the Three Great Quests that the gods issued to mortals centuries ago. The first two, Behemoth and Leviathan, were slain, by mine and Hera’s Familia. But the dragon still lives.”
Hestia folded her arms, her expression unusually grave. “It is perhaps the greatest threat to the world. The embodiment of destruction itself. No one knows where it came from, not even us gods. It had simply appeared one day in the dungeon, and since then, it has remained undefeated.”
Zeus chuckled dryly. “It’s earned quite the reputation. ‘The Eternal Calamity.’ The ‘Abyss of Death.’ But the name that most know it by…the ‘One-Eyed Black Dragon’ came from the only mortal to ever stand against it and wound it.”
Bell straightened, his hands clenching into fists. It looks like he was spot on “Albert…”
Zeus nodded, happy that Bell remembers that specific legend. “Albert Waldstein. The strongest mortal to ever walk the world. The man who wielded the sword that nearly cut down the beast. Nearly.” His blue eyes darkened.
“But even he couldn’t finish the job. The One-Eyed Black Dragon was wounded, yes, but it endured. It managed to survive after five days of nonstop fighting.”
Izuku felt a chill run down his spine. He had faced powerful enemies before, villains like Overhaul, Shigaraki, and even All For One. But something about this felt different.
“…That’s worrisome” Kyoka said hesitantly.
Zeus exhaled. “Oh, absolutely. It’s still alive out there, waiting. Watching. It hasn’t been seen in 15 years, but I promise you, it has never left its home. The moment someone strong enough appears, someone who might threaten its existence, it will come.”
He gave them all a long, hard look. “And I think that time is drawing near.”
Silence stretched once more.
Then, Izuku, unable to hold back his curiosity, turned back to Hestia. “Is that why you’re here? Because of the dragon?”
Hestia hesitated. “I…don’t know. But that is also a possibility. The feeling that pulled me here, it was powerful. If it’s connected to the One-Eyed Black Dragon, then we’re dealing with a threat far worse than any of us realized.”
Bell clenched his fists, his determination burning in his red eyes. “Then we have to be ready. If the dragon is coming, we can’t just sit here and wait for it.”
Everyone looked at him, Zeus and Hestia were absolutely flabbergasted, Toshinori merely hummed as he look to Young Midoriya.
”Those are some pretty big words for you to say, rabbit.” Bakugo said, an eyebrow raised. Kyoka nodded as she agreed with Bakugo. “The blond pomeranian is right, Bell. What you’re saying, asking us to do…it’s nothing short of a death mission. You agree with us, right?” Kyoka turn to Izuku, but didn’t expect to see his eyes cold and calculating.
”Bell Cranel,” Said boy stood up straight as Izuku looked at him, his piercing emerald eyes through Bell. “Yes?!” Bell almost gapped when Izuku suddenly smiled at him. “Those are some pretty funny ideas you got. You’re kinda crazy.” Izuku smile turn to a smirk before nodding in approval.
Hestia smiled at him. “That’s exactly why I wanted to ask all of you something.” Breaking the dumbstruck faces on Bakugo’s and Kyoka’s faces.
She stood from her seat, placing her hands on her hips as she looked at each of them in turn. “I plan to establish a Familia.”
The announcement sent a wave of shock through Zeus. His eyes widen with disbelief.
Izuku’s eyebrows raised. “A Familia?”
Hestia nodded firmly. “Yes. I may have originally descended for other reasons, but now that I’m here, I realize that I can’t just watch and let everything happen. I need to be part of this fight, too. And to do that, I need a Familia.”
Kyoka blinked. “So, wait…are you saying…?”
Hestia grinned. “I’m asking if you’d be willing to join my Familia.”
The room went silent once more.
Bakugo let out a sharp laugh. “Haha, didn’t take long for you to start working, eh?”
Hestia smirked. “What can I say? I know talent when I see it.”
Eri tugged on Izuku’s sleeve. “Izuku… does this mean we would become adventurers?” Eri to has read some of Bell’s books about the legend of this world.
Izuku swallowed. He glanced at Kyoka, who looked just as conflicted. He never considered joining a Familia. He had spent the last seven months just trying to survive and adjust to this world. But now, everything was changing again.
He looked at Hestia, at the sincerity in her eyes, the determination in her stance. Then, he looked at his friends.
Bell was, of course, eager and willing.
Kyoka was contemplative but intrigued.
Bakugo, still smirking, but was clearly thinking it over.
Eri looked hopeful, but was waiting on his decision.
Toshinori was watching him carefully, but it look like he would go with whatever choice Izuku makes. Izuku took a deep breath before looking at Hestia.
“…Tell me more about what it means to be in your Familia.”
Hestia perked up. “It’s pretty simple! You’ll receive a Falna, which is essentially a blessing from me, your goddess.
It strengthens you, allowing you to grow beyond normal human limits. You’ll gain abilities, skills, and if you train enough, you can even level up.”
Zeus nodded. “It’s what allows adventurers to stand against the monsters in the Dungeon. Without a god’s blessing, fighting the creatures that lurk in the deeper floors would be much more harder.”
Bakugo, who was listening, scoffed. “So it’s like some kind of rpg leveling system, huh?” He mumbled that part but Hestia could hear it.
Hestia tilted her head. “I guess you could think of it that way! But the important thing is that a Familia isn’t just about getting stronger, it’s a family. A bond between god and follower. I would be responsible for all of you, and in turn, you’d fight under my name.”
Toshinori hummed in thought, arms crossed. “If that’s the case, then how exactly does one receive a Falna?”
Hestia opened her mouth to answer but was swiftly cut off by Zeus, who let out a boisterous laugh. “Ah, ah, ah! Now, now, Hestia. If you’re going to take on the role of Familia head, you should probably know what you’re doing first.”
The young goddess pouted. “I do know! More or less…”
Zeus smirked. “More ‘less’ than ‘more,’ I’d wager.”
Hestia glared at him. “Shut up, pervert.”
Kyoka raised a brow. “So… do you know how this works, Zeus?”
Zeus chuckled, stroking his beard. “Of course, of course! It’s been a while, but I’ve overseen the formation of a Familia before.” He leaned forward, his eyes twinkling mischievously.
“Listen closely, Hestia. And you five, too. You’re about to get a crash course in divine blessings.”
The group exchanged glances but leaned in, listening intently.
Zeus clapped his hands together. “Alright! First things first, the Falna is a divine blessing given by a god or goddess to a mortal. It acts as a foundation for growth, allowing the recipient to gain experience and level up beyond their natural limits. Think of it as a seed, once planted, it can grow into something truly incredible.”
Izuku furrowed his brows. “So…it’s like a quirk?”
Zeus waggled his hand. “Ehh, not quite. From what you told me, quirks are innate, they belong to the person from birth. The Falna, on the other hand, is granted. It modifies a person’s abilities, but it doesn’t give random powers.”
Bell nodded. “Right. Skills and magic are something that develop based on the person’s actions, personality, and experiences.”
Eri tilted her head. “Magic?”
Hestia beamed. “Yep! Some adventurers gain magic when they receive a Falna! Others develop it later on as they grow stronger.”
Izuku’s mind whirled with possibilities. If he gained magic… what kind would he develop?
Jirou tapped her fingers on the table. “And how do you apply a Falna?”
Zeus grinned. “Ah, now that’s the important part! Hestia will need to inscribe her blessing onto your backs. It requires a bit of her divine blood, and once it’s applied, the Falna will form a status, essentially a record of your growth.”
Bakugo frowned. “Wait…so you’re saying you need to write on us?”
Hestia cleared her throat, a faint blush dusting her cheeks. “Uh…well, yeah. The inscription goes on your bare back, and I have to apply my blood while tracing the symbols. It’s not a personal thing!”
Izuku stiffened. “W-Wait, so we have to—”
Kyoka groaned. “Oh, for the love of, grow up, guys. It’s just writing on our backs, not some weird blood ritual.”
Bakugo crossed his arms, still looking displeased. “Mhmm.”
Toshinori, amused, finally spoke up. “And what happens after they receive their Falna?”
Zeus smiled. “Then, my dear old friend, they’ll officially be part of Hestia’s Familia. Their status will start at level 1, and from there, it’s all about training and gaining experience. The stronger they become, the closer they get to leveling up.”
Izuku took a deep breath, his hands clenching into fists. He had lost some of One For All’s stockpile, and while he was still strong, this world had different rules. If this was the path to regaining his lost power, or even surpassing it, then he would take it.
“…Alright,” he said firmly, eyes blazing. “I’ll do it. I’ll join Hestia’s Familia.”
Kyoka smirked. “Well, if you’re in, then I guess I don’t have much of a choice, huh?” She glanced at Hestia. “You better not screw this up.”
Hestia puffed out her cheeks. “Hey!”
Eri tugged on Izuku’s sleeve. “Can I join too?”
Hestia smiled warmly. “Of course, little one! You’re more than welcome too!”
Bell placed a hand on his chest. “I’ll join as well. I was planning on going to Orario someday, but if Goddess Hestia was led here for a reason, I want to be a part of it.”
Bakugo scowled, arms still crossed. He let out a huff, then smirked. “Fine. If you nerds are doing this, I guess I’ll go along with it. But don’t expect me to bow to some tiny goddess.”
Hestia grinned. “That’s fine! You just need to follow my orders when it matters.” Zeus laughed heartily. “Well, well! That settles it, then! Hestia, you’ve got yourself a Familia!”
The room buzzed with energy. The five of them had made their choice.
After the group agreed to join the Hestia Familia, the goddess wasted no time. She performed the ritual one by one, inscribing her divine blessing onto their backs. Each time she did, their Falna, a status that tracked their growth manifested, revealing their starting parameters, but of course there was some hefty surprises.

Bakugo inspected the sheet with great interest before handing it back to Izuku. “So our quirks could turn into development abilities, huh?”
Kyoka meanwhile smirked. “At least this time, you won’t be breaking your bones every fight.”
Izuku chuckled, his eyes gleaming with determination. “Yeah…and this time, I won’t have to fight alone.”
“Alright, alright. It’s Kyoka’s turn now. Boys, I need you to turn around now, unless you want to see this lovely’s purple head topless~” Hestia teasing followed by Izuku sudden killing intent was more than enough for everyone, including Zeus, to turn around and have Hestia work her stuff.

Kyoka flexed her fingers, feeling the subtle hum of power coursing through her. “It feels like my quirk evolved so how…I can already feel that the vibrations are a lot more clear.”
Izuku beamed. “That’s amazing, Kyoka! It really suits you!”
Bakugo smirked. “At least you won’t be dead weight when we fight for real.”
Kyoka rolled her eyes but smirked back. “Oh, don’t worry, Blasty. You’ll be hearing a lot from me in battle.”
It was Bakugo’s turn next and he soon took his position and allowed Hestia to do her part.

Izuku gave a knowing chuckle. “Heh. That skill of yours suits you, brother. ‘The more fired up you get, the stronger you become’ sounds exactly like something you’d have.”
Bakugo just smirked. “Like I needed a skill to tell me that.”
Izuku glanced at his brother, his own smile forming. “Still…it’s kinda fitting, isn’t it?”
Bakugo just cracked his knuckles. “Enough talk. Once the rest get’s there’s, let’s get stronger already.”
Hearing Bakugo’s words, Hestia nodded as he patted the spot next to her. Surprisingly, Eri was the next person to go up.

Hestia let out a breath as she gazed at Eri’s status, her eyes filled with warmth. “You really are a miracle, aren’t you?”
Eri blinked up at her. “I… I am?”
Izuku, smiling proudly, placed a gentle hand on her head. “Yeah, Eri. You’ve always been one.”
Bakugo crossed his arms, nodding in approval. “That magic of yours is finally something you can actually control.”
Eri clutched her hands to her chest, feeling a deep sense of belonging settle within her. This was her power, and this time, it wasn’t something to be feared.
After Eri was Toshinori, and safe to save that his status was beyond what they expected, more or say Hestia.

As Hestia finished inscribing his status, she leaned back with a satisfied nod. “Well, Toshinori, it looks like you’ve still got it.”
Toshinori chuckled, flexing his arm experimentally. “It’s strange…I can feel the strength within me again, but in a different way. It’s not One For All, but it’s me.”
Izuku grinned. “That’s because it’s your power now, All Might.”
Bakugo smirked. “Hah. So you’re still able to go ‘All Might’ on us, huh?”
Toshinori laughed heartily. “Only when needed. The days of me being the Symbol of Peace are over, but perhaps, I can be something new here.”
And with that, the former No. 1 Hero felt something he hadn’t in a long time.
Hope for the future.
One final person to go, and Hestia wondered if he to will surprise her just like the others. Safe to say she wasn’t disappointed in the slightest.

Hestia’s hands trembled slightly as she pulled back from Bell’s back, finishing the last inscription. She looked at the Falna of each of her new Familia members with wide, astonished eyes.
“You guys…You’re all monsters,” she whispered.
Zeus chuckled from behind her. “Well, of course they are. Did you see the kind of training they’ve been doing? It would be more surprising if their status was normal.”
Hestia nodded absentmindedly, looking over the status sheets of each and every one of her new Familia members and couldn’t help but smile.
They had taken their first step as adventurers.
The Hestia Familia journey had officially begun.
