Professor Potter glanced around the crowd of students, wondering where his son was and when exactly he’d be sorted. He almost missed the name being called.
Severin Prince ! Slytherin !
it could of very well been a coincidence, but hearing the name so similar made him tense in his seat. He did not want to look up, but he dragged his eyes up anyhow. He luckily, did not see much, apart from black locks swaying as the boy took his seat at the table. However, that did not ease his urgency to find that boy.Â
He was dragged from his fantasy when his sons name was called out. He soon forgot about it as he clapped with joy. Gryffindor! He never felt prouder.Â
The memories always came back, flashbacks always occurred at random points. But now? More frequently then ever.Â
Riddled with guilt, it was never fully James fault. Not fully anyone’s. No one meant for it to happen, it just… did. The idea should of never passed through anyone’s minds. He knew that more than anything. Whenever the prank was brought up, he dismissed it as a childish accident. Of course, he felt sorry for him. As annoying as he was, he did not deserve that.

Minerva had to stop herself from doting on him, Severin was an amazing student. A Slytherin with a mind of a Ravenclaw. Something she had seen before, years ago now. But the boy still lingered in her mind. She knew that was the case for many other professors too.
Professor Burbage, Professor Sinistra, Professor Evans, Professor Potter. Just to name a few of them who knew him. Not just knew what happened to him, but knew him.
it was like this boy knew him too.Â
He was, naturally, one of her top students. So perhaps, the boy knew his knowledge, and not what truly happened. She could only pray he would not end up like Severus. Everything he did was oh so Severus like.Â
