Secrets.
James looked down at his tie and immediately took it off* "Uhhh..? What tie mate??" he laughed nervously, James potter had never been exactly bright at lying, especially not towards his best friends. Remus raised his eyebrow, as if skeptical and aware James was lying. He looked at his book again. "Well...don't think sirius would like to hear about this.." James facepalmed. "Oh! Please dont tell anyone moony!" Remus nodded and continued reading, "He'll figure it out..eventually." James tilted his head, like a confused dog. "Huh?" Remus sighed.
Sirius and Peter came over to them and sat down, both being late for breakfast. "Hey did you hear snape fell on his face the other day? Bloody hilarious, that!" Sirius said in a happy tone, laughing. "Really?" James was also laughing, along with Peter. Remus also began to find himself trying to hold back laughs. James and sirius messed around during breakfast as usual then went to the quidditch pitch to practice for the big game next week.
When sirius was showering after lunch James decided to sneak off to see if he could find regulus. "Uhh padfoot?" He said, standing next to the door. "Yeah prongs?" "Gonna go on a walk." "Okay."
James walked out of their dorm and into common room, walking by gryffindors chatting and sitting on the couch. He walked through tons of different corridors and couldn't seem to find regulus, he sighed and pulled out the marauders map. "I solemnly swear that I am up to no good." the ink on the map began to show and it showed that regulus was by the astronomy tower.
He followed the map and went to the astronomy tower to see regulus playing his violin up there. Regulus put his violin down. "Potter." "Ah, Reggie. How've you been?" "Fine.." Regulus's eyes glanced down at the slytherin tie in jame's hands.* "See you brought my tie." "Indeed I did." Regulus and James gave eachother their ties back. "Were you playing your violin?" "What does it look like? No I wasn't playing my violin I was burning down the astronomy tower." Regulus added, sarcasticly. "Wait really?" James said, oblivious. "Obviously not, of course I was playing my violin. Was being sarcastic love." Regulus kissed James, they stayed there for a moment before regulus pulled away. "See you later?" "..Yeah." James left the astronomy tower. Walking down the stairs, he walked through the hallways for awhile before finding Peter.
"Oh hey wormtail, what's up?"
"Can't figure out what cologne Lockhart is using, love the smell." Peter sounded a bit frustrated. James playfully nudged him. "Oh don't worry wormy, I'm sure you'll figure it out soon." "You really think so?" "..Yeah." James reassured Peter. "Where's remus and sirius?" "...Good question. Probably wouldn't worry about it too much."
(Switching to Mary Macdonald's POV for a second.) Mary was walking though a corridor she was sure was empty at this hour when she saw 2 figures in the distance..She realized it was her friends Remus and sirius. Kissing?? "Aw well look at you two lovebirds." She said, trying to mess with them playfully. They pulled away and looked at her. "So are you dating then..?" She questioned. "Yeah." Sirius replied. (By the way, that was just an explanation as to where sirius and remus currently were and also a reference from mskingbean89's ATYD one of the parts mentions where Mary catches sirius and remus making out in an empty corridor and thought I'd add my own twist to it.)
