The Wolf Unleashed

The air in the Squad 11 barracks was charged with anticipation.

A special mission had just been assigned, one that required only the strongest fighters. A high-ranking Adjuchas-class Hollow had been spotted in the World of the Living, one powerful enough to challenge a Captain-level opponent.

And Kenpachi was busy.

That meant Harry, as Lieutenant, was leading the squad in his place.

“Listen up,” Harry called, standing before a group of Squad 11 warriors. “This isn’t like the small fry we usually deal with. This thing’s dangerous. No holding back.”

The squad roared in approval. They lived for battle.

What they didn’t know was that Harry had a bad feeling about this mission.

Something in the air just felt… wrong.

Hunting the Adjuchas
The team arrived in Karakura Town, stepping through the Senkaimon into the human world. The night was quiet, but Harry could feel it—the oppressive reiatsu of their target, lurking somewhere nearby.

“Spread out,” he ordered. “Find it.”

They barely had time to move.

A deafening roar split the air as a massive wolf-like Hollow emerged from the darkness, its glowing yellow eyes locking onto them. Its body was covered in thick black armor, its claws shimmering with spiritual energy.

It wasn’t just powerful—it was fast.

With a single shunpo-like movement, it tore through one of Harry’s men, its claws rending the Shinigami apart before anyone could react.

“Damn it!” Harry growled, drawing his twin black swords.

“Stay back—I’ll handle this.”

The Hollow turned to him, its snout pulling into a grin.

"You… smell different."

Harry narrowed his eyes. “Yeah? You’ll smell like ash in a minute.”

And then he attacked.

A Battle on the Edge
Harry’s Bankai activated instantly—his fur-lined black coat billowing in the wind as he blurred forward. His twin swords sang through the air, clashing against the Hollow’s armored hide, sparks flying with each strike.

But the Hollow was fast—too fast.

Even with his enhanced abilities, it was matching his movements, countering his every attack. Worse, it wasn’t just defending—it was learning.

Every time he struck, it adapted, moving smoother, striking harder.

And then, it happened.

The Hollow feinted left, baiting Harry into an attack—then vanished and reappeared behind him, claws tearing across his back.

Pain exploded through his body as he was sent crashing through a building, debris raining around him.

His squad members gasped, horror on their faces.

“Lieutenant!”

Harry groaned, pushing himself to his feet. Blood dripped from his lips. His vision blurred.

The Hollow approached slowly, its massive form blocking out the moonlight.

"You're strong," it rumbled. "But you’re holding back."

Harry’s breath came hard and fast. He could feel it—his Hollow side scratching at the edges of his mind, whispering.

"You know what to do."

"Use me."

He clenched his fists, his swords trembling in his grip.

If he used his mask now… everyone would see.

But if he didn’t—they were all dead.

Harry made his choice.

The Mask Breaks Free
A sudden, immense surge of reiatsu erupted from Harry’s body. His squad staggered back, feeling the sheer weight of it.

Then, as the Hollow lunged—

Harry vanished.

In a flash of black and silver, he reappeared above the Hollow, his movement faster than anyone had ever seen. His blades sliced downward, severing the Hollow’s arm in a single strike.

But that wasn’t what shocked his squad the most.

It was his face.

A Hollow mask had formed over his features—sleek, white, with sharp fangs and crimson markings running down the sides. His eyes, once emerald green, glowed a piercing golden-yellow.

The Hollow stared in shock.

"Impossible…"

Harry roared, his voice distorted, and moved again—too fast to track. He tore through the Hollow’s defenses, shredding its armor, overwhelming it with sheer brutality and speed.

Finally, with a single cross-slash, he split the beast in two.

For a moment, silence filled the night.

Then, as the Hollow’s form disintegrated, Harry stood tall—his mask still in place, his power still surging.

And behind him, his entire squad stared in stunned horror.

The Aftermath
Harry ripped the mask from his face, panting hard. His Hollow power receded, but the damage was done.

His squad didn’t cheer.

They didn’t celebrate.

They just… stared.

A seated officer finally spoke, his voice uneasy.

“…Lieutenant… what was that?”

Harry exhaled slowly, sheathing his swords. His mind raced. He had hoped to keep his Visored powers a secret for as long as possible.

But now… there was no hiding it.

He turned to face them, his expression unreadable.

“That,” he said simply, “was the only way we were getting out of here alive.”

No one replied.

No one knew what to say.

For the first time, Harry realized—everything had changed.
