Settling In
Harry spent the first few days adjusting to his new home, letting the quiet of Karakura Town settle into his bones.
The house was mostly unfurnished, but he didn’t mind. A quick trip to a local shop got him a futon, a low wooden table, and a few necessities. He could have used magic to handle everything instantly, but he wanted to take his time—immerse himself in this new life without relying on spells.
The first morning, he woke up early, the sound of birds outside replacing the usual hum of London traffic. He stepped out into the small garden, stretching as the sun warmed his face. It was peaceful. No war. No whispers of The Boy Who Lived. Just a man trying to start over.
He spent most of the day unpacking, organizing his books, and practicing his Japanese with the radio playing softly in the background. He had no real plans—no grand purpose—just the simple goal of building a normal life.
But as the sun dipped below the horizon, something shifted.
A strange chill passed through the air, making the hairs on the back of his neck stand up. For a brief moment, he felt… watched.
Harry turned toward the empty street.
Nothing.
Shaking his head, he brushed off the feeling and went back inside.
He had no idea that, just beyond his vision, the spirit world was stirring—and that his quiet life was about to become far more complicated than he had planned.
