Are you happy now?

Pansy burst through the door, in an angry rage.

“Potter!” She shrieked into the entry hall. “Your stupid cousin is lucky there are laws about hexing muggles!”

Harry poked his head out of the sitting room to see a very angry and very wet-looking Pansy Parkinson standing in the front hall.

“Pans? Are you alright?” Harry asked, trying to (unsuccessfully) stifle a chuckle at the sight before him.

“No, that imbecilic cousin of yours decided to take me canoeing!” She replied indignantly. “Without magic, and I don’t know how to paddle a canoe.”

Harry looked at her skeptically from behind his glasses, his green eyes looking her up and down.

“Alright? And you’re dripping lake water onto my ancestral Persian rugs because?” He asked with a quirk of his eyebrow. “I mean I don’t particularly care for the rugs of Black family members long passed, but why are you all wet?”

Pansy visibly blushed, suddenly finding the troll foot umbrella stand very interesting.

“Well you see, I was actually having a rather nice time,” she replied after a moment. “Dudley and I were getting on quite well, that is, until he leaned in to kiss me… the blasted boat tipped over and landed me in the lake!”

Harry doubled over laughing, imagining the situation.

“Oh I’m glad you think it’s funny Potter!” She shouted at him with a stomp of her foot. “I took a leap of faith, as you suggested, and now I’ve ruined everything. Are you happy now?”

“Right, because one bad date is going to run off the man who hasn’t been able to shut up about you for weeks…” Harry deadpanned, refusing to vow to her tantrum. “C’mon let’s get you dried off before Dudley gets back. You didn’t leave him out there did you?”

Harry glanced behind her, noticing for the first time the absence of his cousin.

“Of course I did,” she replied with a smirk. “It was all this fault after all.”
