It was a late evening at Kylie’s house, and the four young actresses—Kylie, Malia, Liamani, and Kiara—were sprawled across her couch, huddled around a phone propped up against a stack of books. They had wrapped up a day of rehearsals for their upcoming movie Descendants 5 a couple hours ago, and now, they were entertaining their fans with a chaotic, laughter-filled TikTok livestream.
Kylie, sitting cross-legged in the middle, scrolled through the flood of comments. "Alright, who’s got questions for us? Or are you guys just here to watch us be dumb?" she joked, grinning at the screen.
Malia, leaning against Kylie’s shoulder, laughed. "I think the QTs are here for both," she teased.
Liamani, perched on the arm of the couch, kicked her feet up. "So true. We are pretty entertaining," she added dramatically.
Kiara, sprawled out on the other side of Kylie, snorted. "More like you guys are the messiest people I’ve ever met," she said, nudging Kylie and Malia with her foot.
The chat scrolled rapidly, but one comment caught Kylie’s attention. She read it out loud: "What do you guys think about Glassheart? We NEED this ship to be canon."
"Ohh, the Glassheart shippers are here," Malia said, raising her eyebrows.
Liamani smirked knowingly but stayed quiet, her eyes flickering toward Kylie and Malia. She was one of the few people who knew about their actual relationship, and watching them navigate these moments was pure entertainment for her.
Kylie played along, acting all nonchalant. "Well, you know, Glassheart has some insane chemistry in the movie. The tension is real."
Malia nodded. "Yup. Swords clashing, intense stares, enemies to lovers—"
Kiara, completely oblivious to the fact that Kylie and Malia weren’t technically out to the public, cut in with a grin. "Yeah, but their chemistry is even cuter off-screen. Like, when we were rehearsing the sword fight scene yesterday, you guys were all in character, all intense and stuff, but then the second it was over, you two were literally all over each other in the break room. Like, cuddling, kissing—"
Kylie and Malia froze.
Liamani choked on her drink.
The chat went feral.
"WAIT, WHAT?!"
"KIARA WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY???"
"KYLIA CONFIRMED??? KYLIA CONFIRMED???"
"HELLO??? DROP THE LINK TO THE BREAK ROOM SECURITY FOOTAGE."
Kylie shot a wide-eyed look at Malia, who was biting her lip, trying (and failing) to contain a laugh. Liamani, who had immediately clocked the absolute chaos about to erupt, slapped a hand over her mouth to keep from cackling.
Kiara, completely oblivious at first, just kept going. "What? I mean, it’s obvious, right? Everyone knows you guys are together—" She trailed off when she saw the way Kylie and Malia were staring at her. "Oh... wait. Do they not?"
Malia sighed dramatically, then turned to Kylie with an amused expression. "Well, cat’s out of the bag now."
Kylie groaned, covering her face. "Kiara, you are so lucky I love you."
The chat was now moving at a speed no human could reasonably read. Fans were losing their minds, spamming heart emojis, screaming in all caps, and demanding confirmation.
Liamani, now fully howling with laughter, fanned herself. "This is the best livestream ever."
Malia rolled her eyes fondly before turning back to the camera. "Okay, fine. Yes. Kylia is real. We’ve been dating for a while now."
The moment the words left her mouth, Kylie—never one to half-commit to a bit—leaned in and kissed Malia on the lips, right there on the livestream. It wasn’t long, but it was sweet, and it was enough to send the chat into a complete meltdown.
"KYLIANATION STAND UP!!!"
"THIS IS THE BEST DAY OF MY LIFE."
"KIARA DESERVES A RAISE FOR THIS."
"I’M NOT BREATHING. I’M NOT OKAY. I’M ASCENDING."
Kiara, finally processing what she had done, let out a nervous laugh. "Oops. My bad."
Kylie shook her head with a laugh, nudging her. "Nah, it was gonna come out eventually."
Malia snuggled into Kylie’s side and smirked at the camera. "Hope y’all enjoyed the surprise. Now, can we get back to the livestream, or are you guys too busy screaming?"
The chat made it very clear that no, they were absolutely not done screaming.
