Chapter 3
JAMES POV
When they stepped into the Potter house everybody was already really tired and really hungry so Effie and Monty were already in the kitchen within three minutes after getting home.
“Cariño, can you show the boys around maybe?" Effie shouted from the kitchen.
“'Course mum, no problem." James had immediately gotten to talking with Sirius, the older boy, and they had a lot in common, James didn't think he had ever gotten along with someone faster in his life. The younger boy, Regulus, was a bit of a mystery on the other hand, hadn't said anything to him except for a "Hi, my name is Regulus" to him and only spoke when he was spoken to. James had in already decided that he was going to decipher him if it was the last thing he did. He was going to befriend Regulus Black.
He spent the entire week trying to talk to Regulus, asking him about his favorite books, what he’s studying at university and what he liked to do on the weekends but it seemed like Regulus had taken a liking to being annoyed by James entire existence. James wondered why he wanted Regulus too like him so much but he has decided to just blame it on his need to be liked by every one and he is determined. Regulus Black is not going to spend this entire year hating James' guts.
REGULUS POV
Regulus Black hates James Potter, hated his golden brown eyes and his messy hair, hated his loud laugh and the way his glasses always were a little bit wonky, the way his skin looked warm and the way his mere presence could light up an entire room. He hated the way that he always had loud music coming from his room, he hated how after only a week at the Potter household, James and his brother apparently were the bestest of friends all of a sudden, hated how nice his parents are, how nice he himself is and the way he always has some new way to annoy Regulus. In conclusion, Regulus Black hates James Potter.
