Feeling like a dream
Summary
Ann is the only one who remember, everyone is alive but at what cost. All she could think about was Kuina(A weird dream I had about how the season 3 of AIB started 😭🤚)(Too much words for what it is but it was when I woke up, be kind to my silly self)
Note
So I had a dream and writted this right after and it's only the second thing I've writted in my whole life 😭It may look weird but again everything is based on a dream that got cutted out by my phone alarm 💔

Everyone was laughing and chatting together in front of the hospital. Ann was standing not far away, looking at them. She remembered, she was the only one who did.

She looked at Arisu and everyone laughing with each others, a strong bond that been created at their time at the hospital. And to Ann surprise, even Tatta was there. It seemed unreal, weird, and even with her faculty to stay cool and keep herself calm, she felt overwhelmed by the view.

Then there was Kuina, the kuina she had loved in the borderlands laughing with the others as they knew each others for a long time, as no one forgot. But the borderlands were now just a distant memories. A memory only Ann had to deal with.

It came to a point where she left, she didn't belonged here nor with them. The usual stern and cold Ann, anxiety and a knot in her stomach not leaving her. She walked to her car, distant but fresh memories about the times in the borderlands, about Kuina. Especially Kuina.

Oh badly she wanted to reach for her, to tell her she loved her and embrace her. But Kuina didn't remembered like she did, and Ann wasn't the type to go and ask for someone number and either flirt. Basically relationship wasn't her thing to be fair.

Ann brushed every thoughts off her head and and walked away, feeling emotional seeing everyone like that, not able to communicate properly with them, she left still not able to brush Kuina off her head.

Walking on empty street, not noticing someone following her.

- "Ann wait !" A familiar feminine voice shouted, the woman seemed out of breath.

Ann turned, her eyes widening to the voice of the woman, of Kuina standing right there. Ann mind went blank, Kuina calling her by her name ? How ? Since they returned from the borderlands she never spoke once to no one.

Ann tried to kept her cool and spoke

- "I'm sorry, do you need anything ?" She didn't know if she should or not speak about the borderlands, about them.

Kuina looked at her with hesitation, walking a bit closer, not sure if she should push things as she saw how Ann reacted.

- "Do you remember me ?" Kuina asked. A sparkle of determination in her eyes, as she felt Ann was in the same situation as her.

Ann breath hitched at Kuina words, she stayed silent for a moment, a millions words and things she wanted to say. Instead she just nodded, not able to find her words, a wave of emotions hitting her behind her stern expression

Ann finally spoke, ignoring the knot in her throat.

- "Should we go to somewhere more private ? I have my car nearby" Ann felt unsure but Kuina nodded at her words, following her without thinking much more.

As they entered the car, Ann sitting on the driver seat as Kuina was by her side on the passanger seat, a silence stayed, both not knowing where to start.

Ann let out a sigh and let her heart decide for her more than her brain for once. Kuina was here, next to her, she didn't needed words anymore with Kuina. She moved, almost throwing herself into Kuina's arms, her hands gripping to Kuina clothes.

Kuina let out a small surprised gasp but smiled, closing her arms on Ann, gently caressing the back of the smaller woman. No words needed between the two of them, just the warmth of the embrace.

After a moment, Ann pulled slightly away from Kuina, a hand on her cheek to make sure it was real. Kuina let out a soft laugh, a laugh that Ann missed so much.

- "I missed you.. Not even going to see me when we stayed at the hospital eh ?" Kuina teased as she took Ann's hand in hers

- "I thought i've lost you as everyone forgot... But you didn't, why didn't you came to me either ?" Ann said, less composed than usually

- "Same fear, It wasn't that easy after seeing no one remembering about our times at the borderlands. But now.. you're here with me, and that's what matters" She took Ann back into her arms as she spoke, Ann melting into the embrace.

Ann and Kuina both wanted to say a lot but instead they just enjoyed each others presence, finally together again. The unspoken will be for another time.

End ?... Maybe, maybe not
