Not an other one.Regulus thinks as he groans.Regulus's phone had been blowing up recently.When he woke up this morning he checked his phone(like a normal person would) but what he found was shocking.About a million messages and notifications popped up.All from different social media's,there were direct messages,him being tagged in videos and edits ,and a lottt of comments.
He was everywhere.Everyone had a crush on padfoot's little brother.What did he even do,he was pretty sure he tried to make himself not that memorable.He knew fame and spotlight,how it felt to have all that attention on you.To be the main attraction, cause that's what he was when he lived with his "parents" if you can call them that.
When regulus was young he and his brother barely had access to the outer world.They were sheltered to say the least.They had private tutors,chefs,nanny's.They never went anywhere,and if they did it was for business, an opportunity to teach my brother how to be a good businessman.And me ,well I guess I was taught how to be a good wife.
Some how when Sirius turned 15 he was allowed to go to a very popular school.Regulus can still remember the nights when Sirius would beg his father for 'just one year and you will see I will get good grades, and meet my future.... wife' he can remember the slightest hesitation in Sirius's tone when he said wife.
Regulus hadn't known it then but that slight hesitation would be his down fall in the end.
When he watched his older brother leave for school,he realized how much he depended on Sirius.Regulus had never liked dresses or make up.He never reached for the pink princess toys or tried to braid his cousins hair.He never liked these stereotypical girly things,but that doesn't make up even a little of what a girl is.Regulus knew this,but he also knew that what a girl was made up of was the exact opposite of what he was.
He figured this out a very young age,his body did not match who he really was on the inside.As a young child that was always relying on his brother,always told him everything ,found no problem in telling Sirius exactly how he felt.When he told his older brother he immediately hugged him,cried for him.Regulus was not sure why ,but he would understand soon enough.There was no place in there parents world for regulus to be a guy,to be himself.
There was no corner to hide,their mother hands that were supposed give comfort, only gave pain .There was never a good enough thing or person we could be to escape her wrath.Her hit's would always land whether it was because of not walking straight enough or because of a bad mark on his test.
But nevertheless regulus tried,he tried to be the perfect daughter ,who he was not. Be quiet ,seen not heard, you know your place, you are to be married not to go to school with your brother. He is a MAN you are a girl. a MAN you are not, a man that you will never be because you are a girl , you are a GIRL DO YOU HEAR ME.
All things said by his dearest mother.Things that she thought would change him,things that she thought could be drilled into him.But no matter how many hit's and punches he took he never backed down.It was always something with his mother,'oh you should wear this dress,oh and your hair is a bit too short(like it wasn't intentional)'
But regulus was regulus at the end of the day.And regulus was not a girl,maybe his mother didn't understand maybe his father didn't understand.But it didn't really matter because he was him and nothing,nothing in the whole world could change that.
So one night,the day when his mother found his diary(with all of his secrets)HE RAN.He ran as fast as he could until he couldn't feel his feet anymore.Good thing he was a runner and someone who knew direction very well,because he would have not made it 3 hours away from his home without.
When he arrived on Sirius black's apartment door,sweaty and panting.The very first thing that his brother did was hug him.All of the stress and the fear and the anger,all of it faded away in the background.They where all unimportant compared to the loving embrace of his brother.
After he ran away he decided he wanted to do something with his life.So school it was,Evan and Barty had already somehow made a whole business,they were both so smart so it was only natural.Dorcas who was one year older then the rest of them had already got into Hogwarts the four housed collage.And his other friend Pandora was going in that same direction.
At the start of his year he really did not know anyone except for Pandora and dorcas(but Dorcas was in entirely different classes and he only gets to see her at lunch).But thankfully Pandora had many connections.
She knew a lot of people at least in regulus's perspective.So when Pandora had introduced regulus to Emmeline Vance(her roommate),Finn vance(Emmeline's brother and in Pandora and regulus's classes),Mary MacDonald(emmeline's girl friend and her roommate),Lily evans(the girl that Pandora has been crushing aka her roommate),And Marlene McKinnon(Dorcas's girlfriend and also Pandora's roommate).
As regulus, Pandora and Finn were walking to the lunch hall .The loud buzzing noise of the students in the air.Pandora saw regulus smiling."ohhh, what do we have here" Pandora said her two space buns flopped to the side to see what regulus was looking at.
"Is that a an edit....of you" Pandora eyes widened,as she bumped shoulders with Finn."omg finny look,regulus has edits of him" Pandora pulled out her phone to check and show finn.
"Um...how the hell did you get so popular.... Like there are so many things about you" Finn said as he adjusted his glasses.He had a string with a bunch of charms that connect his glasses with the back of his neck.
Finn was always in some pastel colours and flowy clothes.He normally dressed on the more feminine side but that's what drew regulus and Pandora to him.The first day that he arrived he was wearing the most ethereal looking make up in the world,he was in a arts major much the Pandora and regulus(as they where in the same class) but he also really liked make up.
He was so good at it and was hoping to go big.There was a couple of guys at the back of the class snickering as he walked in.Regulus thought at that moment that this guy was so brave,he looked up to Finn his self expression was flawless.He was not sorry or scared to be himself and regulus thought that that was the coolest thing you could ever do.
"Ugh,well you know my brother right" and Finn nodded "he was just streaming and I walked in,not a big deal by the way.And I guess the..fanbase seamed to like me." Regulus said clutching his bag as someone walked past him.
"Ya em was actually talking to me about how crazy fanbases can get" Pandora said she skipped along into the cafeteria.
"Well if you get uncomfortable by any of this stuff,you can just tell me I know a couple of hacker" Finn said as he spotted his boyfriend at there table."ya thanks but I think I would rather not have 40 viruses on my computer,I know how your hacker friends do stuff.spoiler alert it's not legal"
Finn just shrugged "breaking a couple of law never hurt anyone"and winked at regulus.
"My dearest of boyfriends,are thou winking at an other maiden"cardoc Dearborn said.an amazing actor,truly dominates the theatre stage.His boyfriend rivals his tenacity,they both use there expression to the most they possibly can."OH NO my love I could never betray you" Finn says as he kisses cardoc.
"GET a room you two" Marlene said throwing some of her fries at the pair. "Is someone a little jealous cuz her girlfriend is not here" Mary said as he ate her burger, her bracelet clacked together as she wagged her finger in Marlene's face. "No,no I am not.it's just that dork said that that she would be back in 10 minutes and she is not." Marlene wailed
"Ok you guys are way too dramatic, you sound like my brother right now" regulus rumbled "Reggie is just a mad at the world right now"Pandora whispered to the others.they all nodded in solidarity right as Dorcas came back with her tray of food."when is he not"
"Fuck you medows" "well fuck you black"Marlene cleared her throat "did we perhaps forget to greet your girlfriend,the best in the world" Dorcas turned and smiled at Marlene "of course I didn't come here" she put her tray on the table and kissed Marlene on the cheek
"And who needed to get a ROOM" Finn shook his head and cardoc laughed at Marlene expression of bliss.Pandora just sighted as she watched Lily look at the two and nudge marlene on the shoulder to show her something on her phone.
"You are going to have to make a move at some point" regulus said lowly so that no 9ne could over hear "shhhh don't talk too pound she might hear you"Pandora said her face a little pink."I just don't know if she likes me you know it's hard to tell" Pandora explained "tell me about it" regulus said sighing and dropping his head in his hands
"Oh love is there something wrong, you know you can tell me everything" Pandora said as she rubbed soothing cercles on his back "so you know how i told you about the crush I had on the guy that my brother always talked about, the one that he showed me a picture of" Pandora shook her head"so......he was the stream that I walked in on and God did he look good"
"Look at us in our ever lasting pining" Pandora said with a chuckle and regulus smiled at that.He truly loved his friends to much."we do make the pair,don't we" he stated "we really do"

When regulus got back home he came home to...none other then james mother fucking potter in the kitchen getting water."oh hey regulus.just got back from school didn't you" James says with a smile and regulus nods"well me and pads are just doing a live....." a couple seconds of silence,James has a look to him it looks like he is...thinking which wouldn't be weird but it's James potter.THE guy who acts on impulse.
"Would you like to join us...you can say no but well... the fans have been begging for you come on and I think it would be supper cool if you wanna" James almost trips as he talks to regulus.Reg shoots his hands out to come and steady the other boy."whoa clam down there,are you ok" regulus looks at James in the eyes and James turns slightly pink "ya,I'm good" regulus let's go "I have a lot of homework to do so not today..but maybe an other day"
Regulus rushes out of the kitchen as soon as possible.He goes in to his room and locks the door."omg omg omg" he repeats "I can't believe that just happened" he plops himself on his bed face first and let's out a muffled sound.
He goes over his interaction with James mother fucking potter over and over again as his heart tries to calm it self.why did it have to be him he thinks to himself why did I have to go and fall for himmmm.
He told himself this wouldn't be a big deal, that he could keep it all pushed down.But James is just too sweet and kind and nice and funny and all the things that regulus SHOULD hate but....it's james and he just can't help himself...
He is truly and utterly fucked and he has no idea how in fuck he is going to fix it.
