The revelation of Sevina Snape and Head Auror Bruce Mulciber
Summary
Head of the British Auror Office Bruce Mulciber Jr. has been seen hitting on Sevina Snape since the start of the Triwizard Tournament. Everyone at Hogwarts basically suspected something suspicious until the Yule Ball, when he brings along their five-year-old daughter.
Note
I think they're both slightly OOC, but I just really liked the idea that if snulciber were married and bruce had the opportunity to bother his wife/husband/whatever-gender-i-might-make-him at work i just KNOW he would flirt with him as if the word shame didn't exist in his dictionaryif sev flirts back bruce responds "*gasppp* excuse you, i am married!!" and he's married to sev and they kiss and diesbesides, severus is tragedy on tragedy on tragedy so i figured why not make something fluffy for him because the snupin squidgame au is gonna hurt people i know it😭🙏oh yeah their daughter is named aurora (based off my oc ^^)

Sevina Snape was a no-nonsense kind of lady. Strict, a little unfair at times, but she was, undeniably, a good Potions Master. Sevina Snape, the no-nonsense lady, happens to tolerate the man— who also happened to be a head auror for the ministry— flirting with her with little to no shame.

He sat there since before the feast had begun.

"Isn't this great, Sev?" He whispers just before students piled in. Bruce sat to Sevina’s right. "I get to work closer to you now. I get to see you whenever I want." He says as he flashes her a grin she knows all too well. She rolled her eyes at him, as if seeing the future of what'll happen. She fought back a grin as she spoke, trying to keep her tone professional. "We are both at work, Mulciber. I'll still kick you out of my office without hesitation."

"From my own wife? How mean." He only chuckled at that.

“You two are surely an insufferable married couple.” Sighed Minerva as she sat down next to Sevina’s left. Bruce grinned as if he had just done something he shouldn’t. Sevina sighed, thinking how long of a year this is going to be.

“I can already tell the disasters that’ll happen.” Said Sevina. Bruce pouted playfully beside her.

"I’ll behave then, promise.” He said, and his mood instantly improved when Sevina gave him a kiss on the cheek.

When the students piled in and after the sorting, that’s when he was being infuriatingly charming. Sevina resisted the urge to squish his face in her hands in order for him to be quiet. She was trying hard not to fall for them, damn it! She needed to keep up this strict, unfeeling persona, yet Bruce thinks it’s a fun game to try and get her to laugh and crack a smile.

Well, the two were engaged in conversation nearly the entire evening, and that definitely didn’t go unnoticed. The students were a little too afraid to ask the potions master about it, not wanting to get detention. Fred and George Weasley, however, were the only brave souls to ask about it.

Long story short, they had a month’s detention with Filch after that.

Bruce wasn’t at the castle very often, only on some weekends, though he was in the castle for about two weeks to prepare the first task. But whenever he was in the castle, students couldn’t help but notice how often he was close with the potions professor.

One day, Harry had the misfortune of forgetting his textbook in the potions classroom, and he, along with his two other friends, ventured down to the dungeons together.

What they didn’t expect to see was the Head Auror himself walking out, just as the trio were about to open the door.

“Oh, hello you three.” He greeted them with a smile. “Here for detention?”

“Er, no sir— I left my book.” Said Harry.

“Well, I hadn’t seen a notebook inside, but surely it’s there somewhere. Se- Snape isn’t inside at the moment, so you won’t encounter her there.” They thanked him as they hurriedly walked inside. Harry found his notebook, and he also noticed a vase of flowers on the professor’s desk.

In the common rooms that night, they just had to talk about it.

"So we aren’t crazy!” Said Harry, “He really is flirting with Snape!”

“He can’t, though, he’s married.” Said Ron. “Well, dad said he was married, but he never publicly said to whom.”

“Then
what if he’s— simply married to Snape?”

The trio fell into silence.

"There’s no way.” Said Ron, slightly grimacing. “She’s a git! Who would wanna spend more than five minutes with her?” He said, earning a light whack from Hermione.

“Because why else would he be giving her flowers if he was married to someone else?” Said Hermione. “Besides, did you even see them? They could be used for potion ingredients! They’re definitely married!”

“Or, I don’t know, he’s having an affair?” Piped up Harry, earning questionable looks from both of them. “What? From what I’ve seen in Aunt Petunia’s soap operas, that could happen!”

“This isn’t a soap opera!”

“Okay, okay! But Snape isn’t wearing a ring like he is on her finger.” Harry pointed out. “Even outside potions classes.”

"That's fair..."

The trio, eventually, settled on a bet. Hermione bet 10 galleons they were married, and Ron and Harry bet 5 each they weren’t.

The answer came to them during the Yule Ball.

Everyone was there, having fun— well, except Ron because of his questionable dress robes— but it was a fun event regardless.

The staff were dressed up, too, even Professor Snape, in a black, floor-length dress with pearls— something a pureblood would wear, and something she would have never worn on any other day. She also had a white lily on her left ear.

Standing next to her was the Head Auror himself again, Bruce Mulciber, wearing a matching black suit with a matching white lily in his right. In his arms, a little girl, also with a lily. She had his dark skin and his energy, it seemed, for how eager she wanted to dance.

After the champions had danced and the dance floor was free for everyone, the two had joined the dance floor, earning the little girl many ‘aww’s’ and affectionate headpats from the crowd.

After a few minutes, the girl had already grown tired. Bruce easily scooped her up into his arms as they walked away from the dance floor, and towards the staff’s round table.

Sevina, previously engaged in conversation with Charity Burbage, the muggle studies professor, turned around in time to see her husband and daughter walking over to the table, and she couldn’t help the chuckle escape from her lips. “She seems like she had a good time.” She said, taking her from his arms. The girl stirred, murmuring tiredly.

"She stole everyone’s hearts tonight, that’s for sure.” Said Bruce as he took Sevina’s hand and brought it up to his lips, planting a soft kiss there. Sevina planted a kiss on her daughter’s temple, too.

“It’s time for bed, it seems.” She said, even though it was only around 9pm. Aurora weakly protested. “No, no, my dear,” chuckled Sevina, “you’re very sleepy already. Night-night.”

Sevina turned to Bruce again. “Will she stay with you or me?” She whispered, as to not wake her.

“I was thinking
We both stayed here for the night. She’s not the only one who misses mama a lot.” Said Bruce, pouting at her, which earned a sigh from Sevina. “Fine, fine. Suppose you’ve earned it. I missed her too.” She said as they made her way to her private quarters, earning some quiet, shocked looks from a few people when they saw her leaving with the kid.

The trio saw the whole thing from afar, too.

“She IS married! To him! And they had a kid!” Said Hermione gleefully, being one of the few people who were charmed by Aurora’s adorableness.

Harry and Ron groaned as they handed her the five galleons from the bet. F
