Coming out
Nagito and Hajime slowly get up and walk over to her, the first person they were going to come out to.
They stand at the edge of the table where everyone is.
She’s just sat playing her games.
“Chiaki.” Nagito calls. “Can we talk to you?”
Everyone else’s head turns to face them. They should have expected this from their nosy classmates.
“Oooo, does Hajime need to tell her something?” Ibuki giggles.
Nagito and Hajime roll their eyes. They didn’t take that into account. Everyone thinks Hajime likes Chiaki.
“Sure Nagito, let’s go outside.” Chiaki smiles, putting her game down and standing up.

They exit the cafeteria and all three of them sit on the stairs outside.
“What would yous like to discuss?” Chiaki raises an eyebrow.
The boys look at each other then back at Chiaki. Their hearts begin to race. They’re really telling someone for the first time.
This is Hajime s first time even telling anyone he’s bi!
“So uhm…” Hajime begins. “Me and Nagito kinda uhm…”
He wasn’t quite sure how to say it. Is he supposed to be straight forward?
“Me and Hajime have decided to become boyfriends!” Nagito grins. “Isn’t it amazing? So hopeful!”
Chiaki goes quiet. She glances at each one of the boys.
Silence. For a good minute.
It began to worry Hajime. Had he upset her? Did she not support them?
“…Weren’t you both already dating?” Chiaki finally replied.
“What?! No!! This is new shocking news?!” Hajime squealed. “Did you seriously think we were already dating?”
“Hajime… you have a picture of Nagito in your wallet. You’ve stayed over at each others cabins, Nagito constantly talks about you, I thought it was obvious.”
Both the boys begin to blush. Were they really that bad at hiding it?
“You have my picture in your wallet?” Nagito asks, a indelible smile appeared on his face.
“You talk about me?” Hajime beamed.
Their love was infectious, it made Chiaki smile.
“So… I’m guessing I need to keep this a secret then?”
