Leo was lying in bed, wide awake, shifting back and forth and wincing every time he made Logan stir. He hates nights, you could say that they were his biggest enemy, especially when it was a night like this.
He has been trying to sleep since 10 pm and currently, it's 2 am, he has to be awake for practice in less than 5 hours, and if he doesn't sleep he knows he will have bad practice again, just like in the past few days, which makes it even harder to sleep for him.
After practice, he will be sleeping like a baby. But again only for up to 3 hours. He doesn't know why it's been so bad in the last few days. But something needs to change soon.
Usually, he would be rooted to the bed at this time, after drinking some warm milk or taking some gummi bears that help with falling asleep. Today, he took both the gummi bears and the Milk, but nothing helped.
He sighs and flops onto his back staring up at the ceiling, his hands intertwined on his stomach as he tries to follow a pattern with his eyes. He doesn't even realize that he is cracking his fingers until a warm hand reaches for them and makes him snap his eyes at them.
His eyes follow the arm up to the body that it belongs to, and they soften when he sees brown eyes looking at him. He gives a slight smile and whispers a sorry.
The brown-eyed hand comes up to his face and caresses his cheekbone softly “Can't sleep?” Finn asks.
Leo nods his head lightly “Yeah…you know how it is”
His eyes travel over the red-haired boy's face until they lower themself to the boy sleeping between them. The dark hair is all messy, and he is sweating lightly, which makes his bangs cling to his forehead.
Leo moves his fingers lightly over it and caresses the hair out of his face and behind his ears so he can admire the whole beauty of him.
He hears a light chuckle from Finn and he looks up at him “I'm sorry I woke you up, I didn't mean to”, the other man just shakes his head lightly before answering “You know that I don't care about you waking me up Le, I have to say you should have done it a little sooner though” he says as he looks at the clock on their nightstand.
Leo nods. “Yeah, sorry..” Finn snorts. “Well, don't be sorry now.” That seems to have done the trick to wake up the raven-haired boy too.
He makes some weird noises as his hands fly up to his face to scrub over it and rub over his eyes. After a few seconds, his hands fall to his sides, and his eyes slowly open.
He looks around before his eyes settle on Leo, and he sighs and his eyes close again. “Why are you both awake?” He asks groggily as his eyes open once again and rolls over to Finn this time.
Finn slides his finger over Logan's forehead. “Well, Le couldn't sleep, and my Superpower is to detect these kinds of things, so I woke up,” he says with a cheeky grin, and Leo lets out a huff and rolls his eyes lightly.
“Finn woke up because I cracked my fingers too loudly. Don't believe what he is saying,” Leo says as his head starts to hide in Logan's neck. He shakes a little as he feels the vibration of Logans’ laugh.
It makes Leo bury his head even further into Logan's neck, and his arm curl around his waist.
“So you can't sleep?” Lo whispers softly as his fingers caress his arm lightly and he gets a nod in response from the blond boy. He hums as his fingers travel up the arm, and he lovingly soothes his hand over Leos's shoulder.
“Can we do something?” Says the other voice, Finn; he is much closer now, probably snuggled up to Logan since he takes any and every chance to show how much he loves them through physical touch.
But still, they only get a little shrug back and they both huff out a chuckle. Leo knows which hand is caressing his hair as soon as it touches him and he leans into it. Finn has this thing where he cradles his fingers through his hair, which is happening right now. It makes Leo shiver every time he feels it, even though it should be so familiar now.
His head lifts out of the curve of Lo's neck, and it falls onto his shoulder instead of looking at Finn as he caresses his head gently from front to back, repeating it every time his fingers reach as far as they can. At the same time, Logan is gently letting his hand glide over Leo's shoulder and down his back.
“I'm sorry, I shouldn't keep you awake at this time; practice is in a few hours,” he says as his eyes draw closed again. "Don't even worry about it, nut. I wouldn't want to be asleep when you are struggling.” he hears the familiar nickname leave Logan's mouth,, and he lets out an annoyed breath through his nose. Secondly,y, he loves the nickname, and his two boys definitely know this, but he still likes to pretend otherwise.
“I told Peanut that as well,, but he is just too much of a darling to see it or even hear me ou,t,” Finn says with a smirk. Leo only gets to see it for a few seconds, though, before Finn stops caressing his head and starts rubbing his thumb over his open eye lightly.
Leo sighs lightly and once again turns into the light hold of his head in Finns hand.
A few more minutes pass before he gets drowsy, and the boys seem to catch on. Logan pulls the blanket higher up Leo's shoulder and lightly kisses his forehead as his hands hold his hips against his own body.
“Go to sleep, baby, you will be alright,” he hears Finn whisper into his ear before he is completely out and finally asleep next to the boys he loves the most in the whole world.
