Chapter 7
Harry had always thought marriage was supposed to be a *big decision*, something you agonized over, discussed at length, and carefully planned.
So it was a bit concerning when he realized he had already decided—without even really thinking about it.
It wasn’t a sudden realization. It had been creeping up on him for months, ever since their return from the island. Draco had *never* really left him alone since then. At first, Harry had tolerated it. Then he had enjoyed it. And now?
Now it was just… *his life*.
Draco was there when Harry woke up, draped over his couch like a pampered cat, sipping his absurdly expensive tea. Draco was there when Harry got home from work, curled in his lap before Harry even had a chance to sit properly. Draco was there when Harry *thought* he had a free weekend, only to be dramatically informed that they had reservations at some *exclusive* restaurant because, "*Harry, you are a public figure now, you need to be seen*."
They practically *lived* together. Hell, they practically *functioned* as a unit.
And, well. If Draco was going to be *his* problem forever, Harry might as well make it official.
So one evening, as Draco was *once again* sprawled across his lap, Harry casually said, "*We should get married*."
Draco barely blinked. "Obviously."
Harry frowned. "*Obviously*?"
Draco sighed, twirling a strand of Harry’s hair around his finger. "*Potter, we have been functionally married for months. If you think I’m going to let you escape after all the effort I’ve put into training you, you’re an even bigger idiot than I thought.*"
Harry groaned. "*Training me*?"
Draco smirked. "*Who else lets me lounge around all day doing absolutely nothing while they cook and fetch things for me?* You’re perfect, darling. Completely domesticated."
Harry rolled his eyes but couldn’t argue. "*So that’s a yes?*"
Draco sighed dramatically. "*Oh, fine. But you’re planning the wedding. I’ll just look stunning.*"
Harry grinned, tugging him closer. "*Deal*."
Because honestly? It *was* the only logical conclusion.
