Maybe Caitlyn should have listened to her mother.
But nooooo, she had to be stubborn and not wanna follow the family's footsteps to politics, even though her father had a much more interesting job than a councillor of all things.
As Caitlyn walks through the forest of a supposed ancient city, she puts her dagger to use, cutting all the tree branches and foliage. Now, don't get her wrong, Caitlyn loves exploring places like this, but it would be more enjoyable if she actually knew where it was.
Later, once the sun started falling under the horizon, painting the sky in beautiful pinks and oranges, Caitlyn sat at her camp studying an old map she found.
The map showed a big palace castle structure in the middle.
"Nearby... maybe that'll be something..." Caitlyn said to herself, looking out to the sunset, "Welp, no use going out now. Some rest could be nice. "
Caitlyn got up and stretched, going into the tent and grabbing her phone; there were a couple of texts from Mel...Some text from Jayce talking about some new students from Zuan that managed to get a scholarship for the University of Piltover...and, of course, text from her mother asking how she's doing.
Caitlyn sighed and was about to put the phone down when her mother called. Caitlyn was considering just ignoring it, but she knew her mother would be worried.
So she picks it up.
"Hey...mom..." Caitlyn spoke, waiting for her mother to speak.
"Oh dear, you sound tired; I'm guessing you didn't find anything?" Cassandra said Caitlyn knew her mother cared a whole lot... Cassandra can just be very, VERY protective and strict.
"Yeah, but I think I'm getting close. The palace on the map should be near where I am," Caitlyn said with the bit of confidence she had left.
"I see, I see...well, if it doesn't work out, remember me and your father are here, alright?" Cassandra said into the phone. "Love you, sweetheart, and goodnight. "
The line goes dead...
Caitlyn sighed and turned in for the night, hoping tomorrow would be a kinder day
....
......
........
She sees a battlefield; people are fighting, trying to get to her with weapons, but in front of her is a pink-haired woman who looks battered and bruised; she is holding her own against the army that is trying to get Caitlyn.
Before Caitlyn can try to say something, the woman shouts for someone else to grab her and run, so they do.
She looked at Caitlyn and smiled softly.
"It's been real, princess..." The woman spoke with love and tears gathering in her eyes.
Caitlyn felt the need to run back to her, to try at least, but everything went white as a bright light covered the battlefield
A booming voice filled her mind
"Kiramman..."
...
Caitlyn woke up with a jolt, checking her phone it's five in the morning
"God damn... the hell was that..." Caitlyn sighed; ever since starting this expedition, she started talking to herself more.
Caitlyn got up and decided to have an early start, packing up and heading to where she thought the ruined palace is.
...
After walking for a good two hours, Caitlyn was just cursing out everything as she cut through the forest floor.
"Fuck this...I swear to God this gotta be worth it." Caitlyn grumbled as she travelled through the lust forest, there was some ruins, small depictions of an old city.
Thought Caitlyn wasn't in the mood due to the getting cut by every single stick she come across.
While walking she falls down a hole that was covered by leaves and tree branches, screaming curses as she falls down.
When she finally lands on the ground she groans and look around.
"Wow..."
Along the walls were cavings of Jenna the wind goddess, Powder, Jayce's student told her about Jenna before...so that means Caitlyn was be in old Zuan.
"No way..." Caitlyn quickly grab her camera and takes photos, Powder's going to love this, Powder's family always were fascinated with old Zuan.
After taking some photos Caitlyn walked around exploring when she came across another caving, a caving of a pink haired woman it looks like, with some ruinic letters carved into it.
Caitlyn reaches up and touch it when suddenly a blinding light filled the room.
When it disappeared, there stood a pink haired woman, probably the same one from the cavings, but with what seems like animal spirit features.
Caitlyn heart stopped when the woman uttered her words.
"..Caitlyn?..."
