Road Trip
Summary
Summer 1980. The heat is making the last weeks of college unbearable. But then there is the yearly summer party, the most exciting event for four young adults. But after James cheats on Lily at the party and then sends a tape of it to her, he has to make some fatal decisions. Head over heels, Sirius, Remus, Peter and James decide to skip two weeks of college and head to Rome to retrieve the tape and save James’ relationship. They only have to be back in time for their big finals. Eagerly, the friends leave and go on the road trip of their life. But they wouldn’t be the Marauders if it were a perfect and harmonic Road Trip.“I’m about to say something funny to Peter but in that moment, Remus and Sirius come walking out of the church while laughing about something stupid. At least I think it’s stupid because neither of their jokes are funny.‘Remus,’ Sirius gasps, ‘Remus just told me the funniest joke of all time. Let me tell you. What’s red and bad for the teeth?’I shrug. ‘Candy?’ Sirius shakes his head, still laughing.‘No, it’s- it’s a brick.’I look at Peter and then at Remus.‘I’m sorry. We got kicked out of the church because Sirius just randomly started laughing.’”

Preface

For this one, I would like to mention that the original idea of the story is based on two movies that are actually pretty alike but have nothing to do with each other and are also totally different at the same time. ‘Road trip’ and ‘Euro trip’. And you should totally go check them out because they are actually perfect (especially when you are on a Road trip with your friends and you decide to watch these movies all together). However, if you don’t like nudity and sexual content, maybe don’t watch Road Trip, I just rewatched it and I didn’t remember it having so much sex in it. Anyways.

Now this is really just a Marauders Fanfiction as it already says but I would like to emphasise that it is about the four Marauders Remus, James, Peter and Sirius, going on a Road trip. Yes, Lily and Regulus are also in the book and the other characters might be mentioned once or twice but it focuses mainly on the four original Marauders.

It also has some slowburn Wolfstar but if I say it’s slow, then I mean it’s really really slow. So don’t blame any of them for talking about girls (or guys) and just let them fall in love with each other.

Yeah, sadly this book doesn’t include any major character death. There might be some gun violence, violence in general and sexual contents in there so that’s the only warning I think I have to add. Oh and throughout the story, there will be some German spoken. Germans: please don’t kill me for any horrible language mistakes. I am trying my best but that’s a damn hard language. I just realised it’s not only the German.

Another thing that, while writing, I realised might be a little important. I am portraying characters in a way, they fit into this story. Later on, many of the characteristics they have or their looks might be important to some of the storyline. For example Alice. When we first meet her the morning after the party, she is being a little bit bitchy to James. That is important for the way the story goes on later on and just fits into the storyline. In my opinion, Alice Longbottom was a really nice girl but sadly not in this story. Also, Peter is not the usual traitor character in this story. I am a fan of young Peter and I sometimes like to think that maybe he just always felt left out or maybe even taken advantage of and because of that turned into the villain Wormtail we know. But that’s the reason why in this story, he is a nice and sweet guy and really lovable. A character that in my opinion is sadly not mentioned enough in this story is Pandora. She is such a sweetheart but in this story, she just doesn’t do much. She just talks to James once or twice I think. Oh and Barty and Evan. I am so sorry for all my fellow Rosekiller fans (platonic or not, idc). They sadly aren’t in the story which really is a pity because I love the two of them.

I hope that you’ll enjoy reading this way too long thing just as much as I enjoyed writing it. Oh and last but not least: The prologue is written from a different perspective than the rest of the story. The prologue and the epilogue are written from Sirius’ perspective and the rest is from James’ because it’s James’ photo album that Sirius is going through and also, I wanted to write it from James’ perspective. You’ll find out more about that later (maybe).
