“Potter." Kishiar began when Yuder and he accidentally sat next to a certain trio in the library and overheard the Gryffindor Trio's conspiracy theory of why Professor Snape was evil and out to steal something from the third floor.
Kishiar shook his head in exasperation as he turned to their table. "That Professor Snape wants to take Professor Quirrell’s job is not suspicious at all. It shouldn’t even be surprising. Just think about it. Professor Snape hates children, but he can’t just quit Potions because that’d be admitting that children were enough to make him admit defeat and that he wasn’t good for the job. But if he was the Defense Against the Dark Arts Professor, then it wouldn’t even matter if he quit on Day 1. No one would blame it on his unprofessionalism and incompetency. Defense Against the Dark Arts Professors never last for more than one year because of the curse.”
“…Shit." Another Gryffindor first year said, having apparently also overheard everything. Now that Kishiar was looking, Kishiar realized there were a lot of people who had overheard the Gryffindor Trio's conspiracy theory and now his own theory on Professor Snape. "That’s genius.”
