Chapter 1
Freak's best friends were the not so hidden spiders in the corner of his cupboard. The boy liked his spider's. They had never been mean to him, even when they seemed to take in his features.
Unlike his uncle, who hated his 'creepy little doll face', or his aunt, who never seemed to be able to look him in the eyes.
(Boy used to question again again, why his aunt did her best not to acknowledge him. Freak never asked again)
His spider's scuttled all over him, never afraid of his touch, it made him feel warm, needed and loved.
When he cleaned the stiffling house, he had no reprieve, being hit and called names.
Boy was Boy, and often called Freak, he had no name that belonged to him.
Then one day, he heard his Aunt shrieking about "that blasted, hogwash school letter came for him Vernon!!!!"
