Years later, after everything—after war and loss and heartbreak—Remus found himself standing in front of Grimmauld Place.

It had been years since he’d last seen Regulus.

But when he stepped inside, the first thing he noticed was a half-empty stash of Honeydukes chocolate in the kitchen.

Regulus smiled, just a little, from his spot under the kitchen table.

Remus smiled back.

Some things never changed.

And maybe, just maybe, they never would.
