We Change Each Other
Draco glared at himself in the mirror,So maybe it was him who was falling inlove not Ron. "Stupid, how can you fall for someone like him!" Draco hated himself.
But the truth was, he was falling. And fast. He liked the way Ron made him feel, the way he looked at him, the way he touched him. It was all so...different from what he was used to. So real.
Draco hated that he found himself looking forward to their weekly meetups and make outs in the deserted corridors. He had never felt this way before, and it scared him. He knew had feelings for Ron, feelings that went beyond their agreement, but he wasn't sure if Ron felt the same. Or what if Ron was using him.
Every time they parted, he felt like a piece of him was being ripped away. He would return to the Slytherin common room, his mind racing with thoughts of Ron and their shared moments. He would lay in bed at night, his heart heavy with the fear of rejection and the hope that maybe, just maybe,it was all real.
Draco really tried his best not to fall but his heart hated him.
Every time he saw the way Ron looked at him, with that warm, genuine smile that seemed to light up the entire room, his resolve weakened. Every time Ron's hand brushed against his, every time he heard his laugh, every time their eyes met and held for just a moment too long, Draco felt his heart give a little leap that he couldn't control. It was as if his heart had made up its own mind and was now determined to ignore the logical warnings that screamed at him from the back of his mind.
Draco hated himself for letting Ron use him like this, but he couldn't help the way his stomach fluttered every time they touched. He knew he was falling for him, and he was terrified of what that meant for their friendship, their reputations, and their futures.
Draco made a promise to himself,he would break up with Ron in two weeks to save his poor heart from a heartache. But those two weeks was harder than he thought, each day with Ron was like a sweet torment.
One day, during their usual stroll in the deserted corridor,Ron took Draco's hand and lead him into the Room of Requirement. "What's this?" Draco ask,his heart racing.
"I wanted to talk to you, properly,"Ron said, his voice filled with nerves. Draco nodded, his heart racing even more. "Okay," he said, his voice shaky.
The Room of Requirement was set up with candles and a cozy blanket,it looked like a date. "What is this?" Draco ask,his voice filled with surprise.
"I know you're not use this but,I wanted to ask you if you wanted to go to the winter Yule ball with me." Ron said looking at Draco and Draco stared at him shock.
'Say,no,Draco say no and be free' Before he could fully think his heard himself saying yes,his heart jump with joy. "Yes,I would love to go with you."
Ron's face lit up like it was Christmas. "Really?" He ask,his eyes wide with excitement.
Draco nodded, his heart racing. "Yes,I would love to go with you," he said, his voice steady now.
Ron's smile grew even wider, his eyes sparkling with excitement.Ron attack him with kisses.
Draco's heart was racing as Ron kissed him,his mind reeling with the implications of his answer. He had just agreed to go to the Yule Ball with Ron.
Little did Draco know Ron had plans on his own to finally ask Draco to be his real partner during the Yule ball.
Draco was totally not panicking on picking the perfect dress for the Yule Ball, no siree. He had two weeks to decide, so what's the rush? But every time he saw a beautiful dress, his mind would conjure images of Ron's eyes widening with admiration, and his stomach would flip-flop like a fish out of water. It had to be perfect. He was going with Ron, the boy he was supposed to despise, the one who had somehow wormed his way into his heart, turning their fake relationship into something...more.
The days ticked by like hours, and the closer the ball grew, the more nervous Draco became. He had never felt like this before, like he was stepping into uncharted territory. It was exhilarating and terrifying all at once.
He even drag Ginny to the mall with him many times to see if which dress was perfect,Ginny told him Ron would like him in any thing. Which was no help. But he brough three different colors dress that were beautiful in his eyes.
Draco had never felt this way before, nervous about a simple thing like choosing a dress. He knew Ron would say he looked beautiful in anything, but Draco was a perfectionist. He had to pick the right dress.
The three dresses laid on his bed, each one more beautiful than the last. One was a deep emerald green that made his eyes pop, another a soft silver that reminded him of the moonlight on a clear night, and the last was a rich velvet sky blue dress.
He picked up the blue one, running his fingers over the soft material. It was the color of Ron's eyes when they were filled with mischief and laughter. He knew that was the one,it was perfect.
Draco spent hours getting ready for the ball. His hair was styled into soft waves that fell down his back, each strand perfectly in place. His nails were painted a subtle silver that matched the necklace Ron had given him.
He slipped on the light blue pointed-toe crystal floral pearl heels, his heart racing as he looked at himself in the mirror. They sparkled under the candlelight, the perfect accessory to the dress he had chosen. He had never felt more beautiful,or more nervous.
When the night of the ball finally arrived, Draco took a deep breath and made his way to the Great Hall. He was going to enjoy this moment even if it was fake,he hope his heart was ready for the moment when it all ends.
Ron on the other hand was at the Yule ball waiting for Draco. The castle was decked out in holiday finery, the Great Hall transformed into a winter wonderland, with glittering snowflakes drifting gently from the enchanted ceiling. The air was filled with the scent of pine and cinnamon, and the sound of laughter and excited chatter echoed through the corridors.
Ron had been looking forward to this night for weeks. He had picked out a set of robes, some reason he listen to his gut he pick out black and light blue tuxedo suit.
"Ron,turn around." Ginny said and Ron look at her confused but he turn around seeing Draco near the stairs.
Ron was struck speechless as he watched Draco descend the grand staircase. The blue dress hugged Draco's form like a second skin, the silver threads in the fabric shimmering like stars in the night sky. His heart skipped a beat at the sight of him, and he felt his resolve to keep things casual slipping away.
Draco's gaze swept over the crowd, and when their eyes met, the world around them seemed to fade away. Ron felt his cheeks warm, his palms suddenly clammy. He took a deep breath and approached him, his heart hammering in his chest. "You look...stunning," he managed to croak out.
Draco offered a small smile, his eyes flicking down to the bouquet of silver roses Ron held out to him. "Thank you," he said softly, taking the flowers with a grace that made Ron's heart stutter.
"You look so beautiful, have a mention that." Ron said with a genuine smile.
Draco blushed, his eyes sparkling. "Thank you," Ron pulled him to the dance floor, his hand on the small of Draco's back. As they danced,Draco couldn't help but feel like he was floating, his heart racing with every beat of the music. He leaned into Ron,his body fitting perfectly against his, their movements in sync.
They danced to several songs, their bodies moving in perfect harmony. Draco felt alive, his heart singing with every touch. He knew he was falling hard, but he couldn't bring himself to care about the consequences. For tonight,he just wanted to enjoy the moment.
As they swayed to the rhythm of the music,Ron leaned in close. "Draco, thank you." Ron said leaning his forhead on Draco's."For what?" Draco ask looking up at him.
"For everything, for giving me a chance to be with you,"Ron whispered into his ear. Draco's heart swelled with happiness hearing that. "Your welcome," Draco whispered back, his heart racing.
They danced for what felt like hours, lost in their own little bubble. Draco's hand was in Ron's,his heart racing with every step they took. He felt so alive,so happy. It was like all the anger and resentment from the years of their rivalry had melted away, replaced by something new and fragile.
The music swelled around them, their bodies moving in perfect sync. Draco could feel the warmth of Ron's hand on his back, his breath against his neck. He didn't want this night to end. He didn't want to face the reality that awaited them outside the warm embrace of the Great Hall.
But as the song ended,so did their dance. Ron leaned in,his forehead against Draco's. "I have something I wanna show you!" Ron said and Draco let himself be lead away from the dance floor.
Draco wonder where Ron was taking him, soon they were outside of the building walking towards the Forbidden Forest, Draco was nervous but Ron held his hand tightly, his warmth giving him courage.
The lake shimmered in the moonlight, its surface as smooth as glass. The stars twinkled like diamonds scattered across the velvet sky, reflecting in the water below. It was a scene straight out of a fairy tale, one that Draco had never dreamed of being a part of.
"It's beautiful," Draco murmured, his eyes fixed on the moon's reflection in the water. Ron's hand tightened around his,his own eyes filled with wonder. "It really is."
They walked along the shoreline, their footsteps echoing in the quiet night. The only sound was the gentle lapping of the water against the shore and the distant melody of the ball still playing in the Great Hall.
Draco looked up at the moon, his eyes filled with awe. "It's so clear tonight," he said, his voice filled with wonder.
Ron nodded, his eyes never leaving Draco's. "It's like it's just for us," he said, his voice low and intimate. Draco felt his stomach flip,What did Ron mean by that.
Next thing he knew he turn to look at Ron who grab his cheeks softly and lean in to kiss Draco, his eyes closed. Draco froze, his heart racing. Was this it? Was this the moment when everything changed?
But as their lips met,Draco felt a warmth spread through him, like the warmth of a hot chocolate on a cold winter night. It was gentle, sweet, and everything he didn't know he needed. He wrapped his arms around Ron's neck, his body melting into the kiss.
Ron's hands slid down Draco's arms, his thumbs brushing against his skin as they kissed. Draco felt a shiver run down his spine, his eyes closing as he lost himself in the moment.
When they finally pulled apart,Draco's eyes searched Ron's,looking for answers. "What was that for?" Draco asked, his voice barely above a whisper.
Ron's eyes searched his,his expression serious. "I wanted to tell you how I really feel," he said, his voice raw with emotion. Draco's heart raced, his stomach fluttering.
"What do you mean?" Draco asked, his voice trembling slightly.
Ron took a deep breath, his eyes never leaving Draco's. "I mean that,I don't want this to be fake anymore," he said, his voice filled with hope and fear. "I want us to be together for real."
Draco's heart stopped. This was it,the moment he had been both dreading and hoping for.
He looked into Ron's eyes, searching for any sign of insincerity. But all he saw was honesty and vulnerability. It was terrifying. "Ron," Draco said, his voice shaky. "Are you sure?"
Ron nodded, his thumbs still stroking Draco's cheeks. "I'm positive," he whispered. "I've never felt this way before,Draco i'm dangersouly inlove with you."
Draco felt the tears comming up,"Oh i thought you was going to break up with me."
Ron's eyes widened. "What? No,never," He said with a soft smile. "I just want us to be together, for real."
Draco lean into Ron chest. "I hate you." Ron just rub Draco back. "You made me feel something I never felt before you're an idoit." Draco said and Ron smiled.
"I'm you're idoits." Ron said and Draco punch him. "I hate you." Draco said and Ron nod. "I love you too Draco."
Draco look up at Ron. "I love you too." Draco said softly, his voice filled with emotion. He had never said those words to anyone before, but with Ron,it felt right. It felt perfect.
Ron's eyes lit up with joy,his arms tightening around Draco. "Fuck,i'm like over heels for you,I do anything for you." Ron said and Draco smiled. "Good because I expect to be spolied." Draco said and Ron nod.
They stood there for a moment, just holding each other, their hearts beating as one. It was as if the universe had finally aligned in their favor, after years of hatred and misunderstanding.
"Okay,"Draco said, his voice shaky with emotion. "We're together. Now what?"
Ron pulled back, his thumbs wiping away Draco's tears. "Now,we enjoy our moments together, now I can fully do this." Ron said pulling Draco back into a kiss, but this time it wasn't filled with passion but rather with love and tenderness.
Draco's eyes widened, his arms tightening around Ron's neck as he kissed him back, his heart racing with excitement. But as the kiss deepened,Draco knew it was real. The way Ron held him,the way he whispered sweet nothings into his ear,it was all too real. He had fallen in love with his sworn enemy, the one person he never thought he would ever care for.
They pulled away, both of them breathless. Ron leaned towards Draco's ear, "I can't believe you're actually mines for real,I love you." Ron said giving Draco small little kiss everyone on his face and Draco giggled.
"I love you too," Draco said, his voice filled with warmth and affection. Both of them stood under the moonlight, their hearts pounding in their chests.
The moon shine brighter a the couple kiss each other,it was like a happy ending fairytale scene.
