“Ted!” Andromeda hissed, hitching her skirt up as the Hufflepuff sprinted up the steep stairs, “What if we get caught?”
He paused, flashing her a bright grin, “But what if we don’t?”
Ted leapt down a few steps and reached out a hand to her, “Come on. You can hold my hand if you want?”
Andromeda sighed, “That’s not the point…”
She gave him a glare, but reached for his hand anyway.
It was warm and calloused, and Ted gripped her hand tenderly, giving her a reassuring smile.
Ted was like the sun.
He pulled her up to where he stood, and Andromeda gave him a sharp kick to the ankle.
He yelped and she sniffed, “Serves you right for dragging me here in the middle of the night!”
Ted laughed, gently pulling a lock of hair behind her ear.
Andromeda gave him a small smile, and tugged him up the stairs again, “Come on. This better be worth it.”
If she had looked back, Andromeda would have seen the pink staining Ted’s cheeks as he watched her climb up the stairs with a gentle expression.
Ted loved stargazing, in particular at the galaxy in front of him.
Andromeda pulled his hand again and Ted hurried up, smiling as he gripped her smooth hand.
Two moles decorated the back of her neck where her curls had drifted over her shoulder.
He was so fucking lucky.
At last, they stumbled out at the top of the tower.
Andromed shivered at the cool night air, “It’s too cold for this, Ted.”
He knew she didn’t really mean it.
“Look,” he replied, taking her hand and guiding it towards the sky, “The stars are out.”
Andromeda smiled, her eyes turning ashy in the moonlight.
“I love stargazing.” She breathed.
“Me too.” Said Ted.
He was only looking at her.
