Chapter 1
Narcissa Black is the bane of Lily’s entire fucking life.
No, not because she’s insanely hot with an asshole boyfriend who doesn’t deserve her - just because Lily’s a lesbian doesn’t mean she has a crush on every beautiful girl she sees.
Well… maybe most of them.
Girls are pretty, okay?
But anyway.
It’s actually because Narcissa won’t stay the fuck out of Lily’s business!
Something snaps, and, unfortunately, it isn’t her last thread of sanity, but her pencil.
Lily grits her teeth, “Black, need I remind you that I have everything under control?”
Narcissa smiles smugly, leaning delicately against Lily’s desk like some god-forsaken succubus from Christian Hell.
“I just came by to see if you wanted any help.” She says innocently.
Lily can feel her life getting shorter.
“Well, I don’t, sorry. You can leave now?”
The blonde pouts, sliding off the desk, “That’s alright. I’ll see you around?”
Lily wants to wrap her hands around Narcissa’s neck and snog her- nope, nope, nopenopenope, not today, thank you!
“Maybe.” She replies shortly.
Narcissa turns and glides away, her skirt just two centimetres above regulation length, but somehow still short enough for Lily to be convinced that she’s her own personal demon.
Lily looks down at her work and groans, fifteen minutes wasted, and her last pencil snapped into graphite pieces on the floor.
Why her?
~*~
Narcissa can’t figure Lily Evans out.
She’s done everything she’s needed to do before!
Lean against desk, check, pout, check, flip hair, check, ask questions, check!
And nothing! Not one hint that Lily wants to snog her senseless!
What does Evans have that straight white boys don’t??
Narcissa chews her lip, huffing.
“What’s got you in a bother?” Regulus asks dryly, from where he’s fixing his eyeliner in the mirror stuck to his locker.
Narcissa sighs dramatically, swooning next to her younger cousin, “Lily. I offered to help her with Prom, but she’s so stubborn!”
Regulus rolls his eyes, “Evans? She doesn’t need help.”
Narcissa pouts, “But I want to help her.”
He slams his locker shut, sighing, “I have enough on my plate than assisting you with your sapphic shenanigans. James is waiting in the cafeteria.”
Narcissa huffs, she doesn’t want to go to the canteen because Lucius will be there and even though he’s her boyfriend, he’s still just an abuser of hair gel wrapped up in a coat of snobbery and repressed feelings for his best friend.
And although queer solidarity would usually somewhat redeem him, he’s an asshole through and through.
She only sticks with him because her parents approve of him, anyway.
Narcissa laughs silently as Regulus wafts off to the cafeteria; what on earth would they think of Lily?
Lily Evans. Narcissa sighs, she has it all - brains, beauty, - her hair -, it was all too easy for Narcissa to fall for her.
She didn’t even realise it at first, how she found herself staring at Lily during the few classes they shared, Student Council meetings, and then her dreams about a girl with fiery red hair.
She’s all curves too, compared to the slimness of Narcissa’s build.
Now if only Narcissa could get Lily to fall for her just as hard…

“I just don’t get why she’s always hanging around me!” Lily complains, throwing her hands up as Mary’s deft hands twist her hair back into a plait.
Mary tugs her head back into place, “Maybe she likes you.”
Lily almost implodes, “Her?! Narcissa Black?! You have to be joking.”
“What? You’re pretty.” Dorcas counters, her head in Marlene’s lap.
Lily goes red, “I- er, thanks, Cas.”
“No problem.” She answers, turning over in her girlfriend’s arms.
Marlene nods, “I think Mary’s right. I mean, what else would she be doing, plotting to kill you?”
It was more likely than what Mary had said.
“She has a boyfriend!” Lily protests, “And anyway, I hate her.”
She could feel Mary and Marlene exchange looks.
“Sure.” Marlene replies slowly.
Mary laughs, “And anyway, no-one likes Lucius, the slimy git. His friends only hang out with him ‘cause they’re all rich and assholes.”
Lily shrugs, “Whatever. I’m going to find Pandora.”
Mary finishes off her plait, “Have fun!”
Lily flips them all off as she leaves.
