Note
really this is just an idea i got while in one of my history lectures instead of paying attention to my professersome of the things that i mention are things that i thought were cute in other fics and i wanted a fic with all of them together but sadly i couldn't find one so... i'll mention them at the endthis is my first fanfic that i've ever written and not gonna lie i'm a bit scared to let the idea leave my computeralso i had no beta and i don't really think grammarly counts so...i suck at commas so i'm very sorry for the lack of them or if the few that are in here are in the wrong places i guess here is where i say that all characters belong to j.k. rowling (eww) without further ado 1,2,3 - Grapejuice by harry styles

“The pink and orange tulips please.” Remus asked with a polite smile to the flower booth worker at the farmers market.

He paid and as the nice older woman picked the flowers up to hand to Remus he looked around the street.

It would be late afternoon soon and he needed to return home to set up his surprise for Sirius.

The woman handed him the bouquet and he started walking back to his and Sirius’s flat with the red wine and food he had gotten earlier that day at the market.

A song had been stuck in his head all day so as he walked the few blocks back to his home he sang softly “I will be there at your side to remind you.”

As he made his way up the walkway to the front door he finished the song, “How I still love you.”

When he unlocked the front door he was met with a meow from the resident fluffy orange cat.

As he petted the large cat he cooed, “Hello my sweet Soleil.”

When Sirius came home on a random day last July with a big ball of orange fluff he and Remus had argued for about an hour before Remus gave in and just accepted that they now had a cat.

That night Remus called Regulus to complain to him about how his husband was starting to become James as he kept picking up strays.

After Remus sent a picture of the cat to Regulus. Regulus asked, “Do you have a name for the little orange thing?” With a small smile, Remus said, “Sirius decided to name him Soleil.”

Once Remus walked into the kitchen to set down his bought items and to put the flowers in a vase.

As he finished plating the food and getting wine glasses out of the top cabinet.

When he had the food, wine, and wine glasses ready he set it aside and went to the linen closet to grab the picnic blanket.

He walked into the backyard with the blanket and Soleil in tow.

He sat the blanket out as the orange mass of fur laid out in the late April sun.

Walking back to the kitchen to grab the food, wine, and glasses to set them up outside as he waited for Sirius to return home from work.

He should be home any minute as the tattoo parlor closed an hour ago.

As he waited he thought of all the challenges and exciting times that led to them being able to have a moment like this on a Sunday in April with the breeze softly blowing through the trees around the fenced-in backyard of their first home they brought together years ago.

He remembered the stolen glances in their old dorm room when they lived with James and Peter at boarding school.

The first time they kiss in the bathroom of a bar on Remus's seventeenth birthday.

When they came out to James and Lily while they were all on a weekend trip together in France, which was of course Sirius’s idea.

As Remus heard the door open, Soleil jumped up from where he was sunbathing in a warm patch of grass.

Remus debated getting up to meet Sirius at the front door but as he stood up from his spot on the blanket he heard Sirius talking to Soleil, “ Oh look at these beautiful flowers, Bébé Soleil where are you going darling?”

Remus stood there beside the picnic blanket looking down at the setup to check that nothing had fallen as he heard footsteps coming towards him.

When he looked up he saw Soleil walk out the backdoor behind the cat was Sirius who was staring at him with a look of disbelief and love on his face.

As Sirius walked out the door he glanced at the picnic that Remus had put together for him.

Once Sirius stopped in front of Remus he looked up at him and whispered, “What's all this? I thought you had work until late tonight.”

Remus looked at his best friend and the love of his love and he simply smiled as he said, “ Marlene decided to not open the bookshop today, so I thought I'd surprise you.”

As Remus guided Sirius to sit down on the blanket Sirius looked around the blanket in shock as Remus knew he saw his favorite lavender macarons and fruit tarts waiting for him to eat them.

Once Sirius looked back at Remus who was already looking at him with what he was sure was a look of endless love in his eyes.

Sirius leaned in to kiss him as he sighed, “Oh darling, you have me mooning over you.”

Once they broke apart from the soft kiss Sirius leaned back in to kiss Remus's cheek and whispered to him, “I love you, ma moitéi.”

Sirius leaned back and watched as Remus reached behind his back to show wine glasses and a bottle of red wine but as Remus watched Sirius look closer at the bottle he could see the moment Sirius realized that it was his favorite, a bottle of rouge year 1982.

When Remus leaned into Sirius he handed him a glass of wine as he kissed Sirius on his forehead while he softly said back to him, “I love you too, seren.”
