The sound reverberated through the kitchen as his hand came in contact with her arse, the sting sharp even through the muggle jeans he loved so much. Hermione let out a yelp before quickly rotating to assess the situation.
Yep, there was now a lovely flour handprint decorating her backside. She sighed. This is what she got for trying to coax Draco Malfoy to attempt some holiday baking. He already warned her after she made the measly attempt at smudging flour on his nose just moments ago - playfully of course.
She whirled around to confront him.
“Malfoy, that’s enou-”
Hermione froze mid-scold.
She was met with one of Draco’s iconic smirks, his silver eyes bearing into hers before he slowly glanced up, eyeing glinting in amusement at what he levitated overhead.
Mistletoe.
Her breath caught at the sight. He leaned in closer, his breath low.
“Merry Christmas, Granger.”
Her blush was inevitable and her cheeks were as warm as the oven preheating behind them. She smiled at her Grinch-of-a-man-turned-sweet and lifted onto her toes to kiss him softly - allowing her still flour-dusted fingers to tangle in the collar of his jumper.
“Merry Christmas, Malfoy.”
