The Weight of Awakening
The atmosphere in the great hall was thick with unspoken words. The Keepers of the Soulbond had departed, their cryptic warnings lingering like an echo in their minds. But the true weight of the moment settled on Reiko and Syaoran.
They were no longer just themselves.
They were Terra.
The realization settled deep in their bones, the energy humming beneath their skin. They had felt it before—the strange pull, the shared strength—but now, it was undeniable. Their presence in the bond had shifted everything.
And Endymion…
He was different.
He had been dragged back through the void by their bond, but he hadn’t returned unchanged. His magic burned brighter, his aura heavier, like something deep within him had unlocked.
Tranquility was the first to break the silence. “So… we’re just supposed to go back to normal now?”
Clow’s sharp eyes lingered on Reiko and Syaoran, as if seeing them for the first time. “No. Nothing will be normal again.”
The Keepers’ Warning
Jadeite crossed his arms. “I still don’t get it. What exactly does being Terra mean?”
A long pause followed.
Clow was the one to answer. “It means they are more than just heirs. Terra is not a title. It is not a kingdom. It is a force that existed before any of us.” He looked at Syaoran and Reiko. “And now, it has awakened within you.”
Reiko’s fingers curled into her palms. “We don’t even know what that means.”
“We will.” Syaoran’s voice was firm. “We don’t have a choice.”
Endymion’s eyes darkened. “And what about me? The bond pulled me back, but… I can feel it. Something is different.”
Tranquility studied him. He could feel it too. Endymion wasn’t just Endymion anymore.
Yue, silent until now, stepped forward. “The bond may have strengthened you in ways we don’t yet understand. But if we don’t figure out what it changed… it could be dangerous.”
New Roles, New Dangers
Before they could say more, Clow spoke again. “The Keepers left us with more than just a warning. They left us a duty.”
The words settled heavily over them.
The Keepers of the Soulbond.
They had inherited the role, but what did it mean? What were they meant to protect?
Kunzite narrowed his eyes. “We still don’t know what our responsibilities are.”
Clow’s gaze was unreadable. “That is something we will have to discover ourselves.”
For now, all they knew was one thing—whatever came next, they had to face it together.
