The Keepers Depart
The ancient Keepers stepped back, the glow of their presence already fading. Their time was ending.
The lead Keeper looked at them one last time.
“The burden is now yours. Honor it. Protect it.”
The second Keeper placed a hand over their chest. “May the bond guide you well.”
The third, the smallest, gave the faintest nod. “You will not walk this path alone.”
Then, without another word—
They vanished.
Leaving behind a bond stronger than before.
A stunned silence filled the room.
Then—
Clow, ever composed, sighed. “Well. That was certainly informative.”
Reiko shook her head, still processing. “No secrets… no hesitation…” She glanced at Tranquility, feeling his presence more clearly than ever. She didn’t even need to ask what he was thinking—she already knew.
Syaoran let out a slow breath and looked at Yue. “Guess we really are stuck with each other now.”
Yue smirked, silver eyes warm. “Seems that way.”
Endymion rolled his shoulders, adjusting to the unfamiliar weight of the power within him. “If this is what it takes to stand against Metallia, then we don’t have a choice.”
Tranquility looked at each of them, resolve burning in his eyes. “Then we’ll make sure this bond never breaks.”
The new Keepers of the Soulbond had been chosen.
Now, they had to prove they were worthy of it.
