A Childhood Encounter
Before the weight of destiny and duty fell upon their shoulders, Reiko and Prince Tranquility met as children in the Moon Kingdom. The Silver Millennium was in an era of peace, and diplomatic visits between the celestial kingdoms were common. It was during one such visit that the two young souls first crossed paths.
Reiko, a spirited child with an insatiable curiosity, had wandered away from her attendants to explore the Moon Kingdom’s grand gardens. The shimmering white trees and floating crystal formations fascinated her, and she longed to touch the magic that pulsed within them. It was there, beneath the glow of the Earth in the sky, that she nearly collided with a golden-haired boy.
Prince Tranquility, younger brother to Princess Serenity, had also slipped away from his lessons, eager to escape the watchful eyes of his Sun Kingdom tutors. The two children stared at each other in surprise—one carrying the warmth of the sun, the other the quiet strength of the earth.
At first, there was hesitation. But then, with the innocence of youth, they began to talk. Reiko, never one to sit still, challenged Tranquility to a race through the crystal maze, and he, ever competitive, accepted. Laughter echoed through the gardens as they darted through the glowing paths, their joy unburdened by the responsibilities that would one day shape their lives.
By the time their caretakers found them, the two had already formed an unspoken bond. Though they would return to their respective kingdoms, that day in the Moon Kingdom’s gardens remained in their hearts—a memory of a friendship born before the storm of destiny could pull them apart.
