Hermione Granger-Malfoy lives a very calm life, her husband Draco on the other hand doesn't. He's constantly stressed with work and his father's pressing beliefs. But life here at their quaint cottage is fun, Scorpius always has someone over to watch him if it's Pansy, Blaise, Theo, or Narcissa.
That morning Draco had to leave early for his newest mission that he recieved. The auror office recently got word of that Rabastean was attacking a village near Romania. So he left a note stating that he might be home in a couple of days, and that he's not sure about when.
Thier normal schedule continues, Scorpius goes to muggle daycare a couple miles away and she makes her way to her office to start drafting her new laws. The U.P.I the Unicorn Protect Unit, basically it states that since they are such hunted creature and very territorial they will be moved to a bit of land in the French Alps.
That afternoon she recieved a letter from Gawain Robards the head arour saying.
Dear Mrs. Granger-Malfoy
We regret to inform that your husband was in a terrible accident during his mission. His time as our very best and very accomplished arours may be over if his body is not found by May 26th. We are so sorry for this devestaing loss and which you the best in your time of mourning.

She didn't know what to do; dropping the letter and to her knees she began to bawl. If someone where to describe her tears they would probably chastate her for ugly crying but she couldn't help it, her husband was gone he may be seriously injurded or dead at the most. They had only been married for a short six years. The man that had stuck by her side as her friend for years of her life after Ron left her,the man that promesed he the world and every planet, the love of her life gone. She fell to her knees not even caring about the sharp pain that ran through them afterwards balling up into a fetal position and crying her body ,soul,and heart out.
She began to drop into a deep sleep from the energy she wasted from crying. Waking up to a noise of foot steps most likely Harry's.
"Go way" she managed to sniffle out. "Can't you see I'm in a heart broken state of mind, body,and soul?"." My husband is gone Harry his body is mia". " No it's is not my love" a gruff voice speaks up.
Looking up she sees the precious face of Draco. Jumping up to her feet she runs over and flies into is arms. " D-draco th-they said you were g-gone". " Why are you here and not with the other aurors?" He turns to look at her pulling her closer into himself like if he let go she would dissappear.
"Rabastean said he would come after you and Scorpius next after the village, and I just had to make sure that you were OK". He looked shy,like he was embarrassed to admit that he cared. "Aww, Draco do you care for me?"." Why of course I do love".
Dinner that night was obviously Draco's favorite: beef wellington with green bean casserole, and for dinner apple tarts with Leroy Musigny Grand Cru.
Life was good.
Apparently he was actually very injured from getting hit in the gut and then he was thrown into a wall by flipendio. How he even had enough energy to apparate all the way from Romania to England will always make her question. Probably some death eater trick he learned in the war. No judging if it gets him to her quicker that great. Will he face punishments tomorrow morning in the office? Yes, he will does he care? No he doesn't.
