The Storm - Sea
When the new gods ascended, it was decided they would live with their immortal sires, bonded only under the shared title, Protectors of Olympus. Those born of the sky, moon and sun were placed with the gods ruling those areas, those born of the Underworld and magic were placed with the gods of those domains, those of war and love with their godly sires. The same came to all of them, but even the separating placement couldn’t hold back their strong friendships, the ones they’d spent nearly a generation building, most didn’t care if the Protectors snuck out to spend time together. It was a breath of fresh air for them to even have new gods, most mortals of the modern times couldn’t earn the rights to godhood.
Each will have a story told about their lives, but now, we focus on the two born of the sea.

When Harry and Percy became immortal, Poseidon had assumed things would get much easier.
Obviously, the sea god was quite wrong.
Initially, he’d thought that Harry and Percy were more likely to spend time with the others, letting Poseidon fade into the shadows again, but all of Atlantis were invested in the newest sea gods, and Zeus forcing the duties of watching Poseidon onto them since it was their “duty as the Protectors” appealed as much to Poseidon as it did to them.
Yes, sometimes it hurt, Percy’s annoyance and discomfort with spending so much time with the father he barely knew, and Harry’s confused tentativeness like he wasn’t sure if he enjoyed the idea of his new duties could be painfully awkward, but Poseidon couldn’t demand anything, it wasn’t like he was ever there for his two sons, not only had the rules of Olympus been restrictive but he had next to no idea how to deal with two gods who were closer with each other than anyone else.
Harry’s disappearances were what really caught his attention, some days Harry would just vanish out of thin air, but when Amphitrite or Triton questioned Percy, he’d just shrug.
“I don’t keep permanent tabs on every tiny thing Harry does.” Percy had insisted.
Even when Harry was questioned about it, he’d just skillfully dodge every question he was asked, excuses like “I was out with Cedric,” or “I was talking with Hazel.” became frequents in Harry’s arsenal of defences. Poseidon did know Harry was lying but he wasn’t bothered to pry. Harry’s personal life wasn’t supposed to be that important to him.
Triton complained often about how unprofessional it was about Harry being able to slip off with no repercussions, Poseidon just shrugged every time with the same reply: “Harry doesn’t have important personal duties right now, I can’t say he’s failing his duties. He has none to fail right now.”
Amphitrite would give him this raised eyebrow glare that showed that she knew Poseidon was just lying to keep Harry covered, but she didn’t talk about it with Poseidon often, she’d just look at him disapprovingly before swimming out of the room.
Their relationship was often this, especially with Harry and Percy being the horribly obvious cases of Poseidon’s adulterous acts with mortal men and women, he wasn’t sure he and Amphitrite had properly spoken for decades now. Almost all of the chemistry they’d shared had shriveled up and died, something Percy would watch with a critical eye that would drive Poseidon nuts.
But the Fates never did something without intent behind it, they’d allowed Zeus to turn his sons immortal, and Poseidon wanted to figure out what that was very quickly.
