The Rise of Darkness
Written by King Sombra | Interrupted by Conflict
The room pulsed with tension. The echoes of the last debate still hung in the air, heavy and unfinished. But the quill, now awakened by a new will, floated to a fresh page.
King Sombra stood from his crystal-forged throne, eyes glowing faintly with corrupted magic. The notebook turned toward him as if submitting, and he spoke—not to the council, but to the world beyond, to those who would dare to follow the path he carved.
Section II: How to Rise – Origins of a Villain
By King Sombra
"The path to villainy is not born of choice. It is born of necessity."
"A villain is not created. A villain is revealed—when all illusions of fairness are stripped away, when the truth of the world is laid bare."
"I was forged in chains. In silence. In fear. Not of others—but of my own nature. I rose because the world refused to acknowledge my power."
"If you are to rise, you must do so with the understanding that you are alone. The world will not help you. It will not applaud you. It will fear you. And you must take that fear... and build a throne from it."
"Villains are not born in darkness. They are born in light—then devour it."
The final line inked itself into the parchment like a scar, glowing faintly. The quill paused, hovering, before retreating to its resting place.
The chamber remained silent for a breath.
Then the Professor chuckled under his breath.
"Touching. But hardly universal. That sounds more like the musings of a bitter tyrant than instruction."
Sombra's head turned slowly, his voice low and venom-laced.
"Are you questioning my origin... or your own weakness?"
The Professor stood, his gloved hands folding behind his back.
"I'm simply stating that your origin is rooted in suffering. Mine is rooted in understanding. You were forced to become. I chose it. There's a difference."
Byakuran twirled a candy in his fingers, watching the tension rise like steam.
"Ooh, this is going to be fun..."
Voldemort leaned forward, eyes sharp.
"He has a point, Sombra. Villainy born from trauma lacks purpose. I chose my path from power, not pain."
Sombra's magic flared, faint black crystals cracking along the floor beneath his throne.
"Then let me show you how much purpose pain can hold."
Before anyone could intervene, a spike of shadow shot toward the Professor—only to be halted mid-air by a sudden wave of psychic pressure emanating from Takuto Tatsunagi.
He spoke calmly.
"Enough. We are here to write a guide, not destroy ourselves. The first fool to forget that will be removed from this table—by force or by fate."
Kronos nodded, his voice echoing like time itself.
"We are not enemies. Not yet. There will be a time for reckoning. But now is the time to construct the weapon."
White Diamond's voice chimed in, cold and unshaken.
"Let him write his pain. Let you write your science. But do not mistake your view as the superior one. This guide must contain all paths—not only the ones you approve of."
The shadow spike dissipated. The Professor sat once more, lips curled in quiet disdain. Sombra did not sit. He remained standing, like a predator kept from its prey.
The voice returned once more, louder now, as if to quell the storm.
"Every path to villainy begins differently. Some rise from ambition. Others from pain. Some, from the desire to reorder the world. And some... because the world dared to ignore them."
The notebook shimmered. Section II was complete. But the tension in the room was far from resolved.
