It's Just Another Adventure
Summary
This, for all intents and purposes, is a fic about the absolute chaos of three dysfunctional friends with magic living in muggle London together, freshly out of school.(and they just won a war, but who cares.)Hoping it will be funny, praying I don't ruin it with angst.

Who has the keys?

Their new flat is big.

A large living room with a big, old fireplace. Kitchen to the right of the front door, with a small breakfast nook in the corner. Hallway down the other side, where three bedrooms and the single bathroom preside. Not a single piece of furniture in the entire space, but they'd put the downpayment in yesterday, and we're given the keys this morning.

They'd abandoned their shoes in the little space allotted to the door. Hermione called it a mudroom but Harry thought it was too small to be one. A four-by-four. Maybe enough room for a future shoerack.

They'd explored further, opened cabinets unnecessarily. Ron made appreciative noises. It was all very domestic of them. Harry was almost proud- they were capable of being normal- and then Ron stuck his head in the fireplace and you know, this was probably as "normal" as they'd ever get.

Harry leaned against the only wall without windows. Ron soon took notice and abandoned his exploration of their new chimney--dirt on his nose--and came to sit next to him. Upside down, of course, feet sticking straight up and resting against the wall. Naturally, Harry switched his position to copy him.

'This is nice,' Ron hummed. 'Floor's cold.'

Harry nodded.

'Did you boys see the absolutely abysmal cabinetry in the loo? I'll have to apply an extending charm--what are you doing?' Hermione came back in the room, stomping on socked feet, harry extra frizzy, wand in hand.

'Gaining a new perspective on life, Mione. You should try it,' Harry said, smiling.

Hermione huffed and gruffed about her hair and dust particles but dutifully sat next to him, bushy hair like a crown around her. She quirked a smile at their toes touched. 'Okay,' she conceded, 'I see your point.'

Harry snorted. 'We have a home.'

'Yeah. We do. Bit weird to have my own space,' Ron said, 'but I think sharing the bathroom will even it out. I've seen all that Mione puts in her hair.'

Hermione huffed, 'I have to live with boys. Believe me, you'll be fine.'

'As long as you feed me and take me on walks, I'll be the best boy,' Harry swore, mirth dancing in his eyes. 'Don't forget to water me.'

Hermione whacked him with an arm. They made eye contact and burst into laughter.

It was only a little while later that they realized one of them misplaced the keys, and not one of them owned up to it.

(It was Ron.)
