Chapter 14
Tobin and Alex were easy to spot when Tobin is carrying both of the suitcases and both of their personal bags. Struggling to make it to Julie and Christen who had to try to stay away from each other. Alex was super grumpy because Tobin hadn’t let her sleep during the flight a grumpy Alex is never good to be around. The national teammates hugged quickly in the airport to avoid any attention to themselves. They hurried out to the Julie’s jeep Tobin called shotgun before they even walked outside.
The laughter that came from the front of the jeep made the 2 in the back that where already very cranky people even more crankier. It was going to be a long weekend if the 2 stayed cranky. Tobin knew exactly how to make Alex be happy she needed COFFEE. Julie pulls into their favorite small private coffee shop.
Grumpy 1 & 2 made their way to the booth so they could lean against the wall and try to fall asleep. They close their eyes for 10 seconds and the peace and quiet was ruined by the conversation Julie and Tobin where having. “Ugh” both the girls complain.
TH: “Here’s your favorite babe extra everything”( flashing a famous cheesy smile)
Alex takes a sip of the coffee and keeps it in her hands for them to warm up. Alex’s hands began to warm up her frowned turned into a smile they all knew and loved.
JJ: “And for my ba … Bestfriend the usually” (starting to blush for almost calling her babe)
Christen on the other hand was smiling already before she got her coffee.
They ignored the mess up Julie had and started a full conversation all four of them since the to grumps where no longer grumpy. The day was planned with full of mini trip and stops trying to make the weekend the most memorable ever. 2 cups of coffee later they were getting on Julie’s jeep heading home so they could all change into some thing more comfortable as well to take off their USWNT gear as well as their club gear(Portland Thorns & Chicago Red Stars).
A drive that usually took 30 minutes turn into an hour due to some traffic. Tobin, Alex and Christen began to argue on where they should go first on their adventure. Julie stayed out of it to focus on the road head of her. Once parked on the driveway Christen gets off first to open the door for their guest to come in she showed them the guest room. “Thanks if you don’t mind we are going to take a quick shower and a nap before we go out if that okay with you and Julie? Tobin said since Alex was already KO in the middle of the bed. “Its perfectly fine make your guys self at home if you guys need anything call me or Julie” as Christen walks out of the room to go find her girlfriend.
Julie was cleaning out the jeep that was full of water bottles and coffee cups. Christen decides to surprise JJ by opening and closing the house door carefully so she could sneak up on JJ. Once she’s out the door she tip toes softly and quietly not to ruin the moment. She’s arms reach from Julie and goes into a full in brace hugging her girlfriend from behind. Julie jumps and tries to turn around but Christen grip was to strong. Chris begins to place kisses on J’s necks when she hears a soft moan coming from J. Chris knew she was doing something right that she allows J to turn around to move from kisses on the neck to on the lips. Fighting for dominance however it was pretty clear Christen was in charge of the game she had started she pins Julie up against the jeep door. Chris starts exploring Julie’s body she moves her hands inside the shirt and starts making small circles along the sides of J’s body. Julie picks up on what her girlfriend is training to do so she stops her for a second to remove her shirt off. When Christen starts playing with the waist band of the sweats. “Beddd now!” Julie throws her shirt back on and takes Chris’s hand as she walking out the door to bed back to their bedroom.
Christen double checks the guest room who was on the opposite side of the house to see if their guest were asleep to continue what Christen started. She sees coast is clear and rushes back to the room to resume what she was doing. However when she gets only to find Julie KO on the bed she wasn’t even gone for 5 minutes and she had fallen asleep. Christen decides to take a cold shower “I’m so getting revenge for this” as she took off her clothes to hop into the shower.
The evening came around Alex and Tobin where still KO along with Julie which really bugged Christen. Since she had nothing to do she grabbed her Macbook to continue watching her show that J never let her watch peacefully. An episode later Christen begins to hear movement in the house a sign Alex and Tobin where up getting ready. Julie begins to stir getting caught in the blanket her blonde long hair was a mess everywhere frustrated enough manages to sit up reaching over to kiss Christen when Christen turns away from Julie.
JJ: “Babe what was that?! Why don’t you want to kiss me?”
CP: “Whats what you get for falling asleep on my earlier so I’m currently very upset with you. So now go and shower so we can leave”
Tobin and Christen are the first one to get dress since they had woken up first. The last one to get out of the room was Alex who was taking her sweet time to get ready.
TH, CP, JJ: “Finally ! !”
Alex ignores them and keeps on walking towards the door.
AM: “You guys coming or not?”
They pulp to a small but fancy restaurant that was located in a very private area that they didn’t have to worry about the media ruining their dinner. Tobin looked like she was being escorted by 3 beautiful women however she only had eyes for one of them. Alex and Tobin walk ahead of Julie and Christen they were low-key jealous of the couple who could walk and hold hands unlike what they had to do not make it seem weird having to hold on their arm so they wouldn’t “Fall”. The reseveration was under Alex’s name since she was the one who had chosen the restaurant. Their table out of habit was located towards the back of the room. The waiter bring some type of wine which happens to be one Christens favorite.
CP: “mmm Alex you have a good taste in wine”
AM: “Actually this is all on Tobin this is her favorite”
CP: “ Either way it’s really good”
The waitress comes to the table to take their order they take Alex and Tobin’s order first and the Julie’s who happen to caught the waitress eye. The waitress kept flirting with Julie however she didn’t caught on she just thought she was very friendly. Christen was taking deep breathes so their friends wouldn’t notice that her blood was boiling of anger. When she finally takes Christen order she had managed to calm down a bit.
AM: “You guys seen to have gotten loser” (With a smirk on her face implying something else)
JJ: “ Thats what happens when your national and club teammates together all year”
TH: “Thats it all started for us being National teammates first and the club teammates” (leaning over to give Alex a kiss on the cheek)
CP: “So hows the wedding planning coming along?”
AM: “Well we are almost done with everything Tobin has been very supportive and helpful”
TH: “Lucky me she didn’t go all bridezilla on me the only thing thats driving her crazy are the details about my tux”
Alex playfully gives a little shove to her fiancé . The conversation stays on the subject of the wedding for most of the dinner however when it came to dessert Tobin switches the subject.
TH: “You guys seeing anyone? and don’t even try to deny it cause its written all over your guys faces that you guys are.”
JJ: “Not really seeing since we travel so much but here and there a couple of coffee little dates nothing special” ( while reaching over to put her hand on Christen’s thigh and give it a little squeeze )
CP: “Ya J is right no time to really date always busy with Soccer”
TH: “Sounds like the struggle of every soccer player, lucky me my soulmate is every where I go”
AM: “ Aww babe, anyway ways lets go to the club and get you guys someone to have fun with for a while”
The waitress brings the check to the table and Alex is quick to grab the check and her debit. “Its on me I wanted to come here and I invited you guys” everyone just nodded theirs heads. The waitress come back to return Alex’s debit card before the waitress leaves she slides Julie a note with her name and number. “In case you ever wanna go grab coffee”
AM & TH: “Dam J we didn’t know you were part of the club”
Julie couldn’t bring herself to look at Christen she knew she was pretty pissed however as they walk out Christen reaches over to grab Julie’s arm. They all got into the jeep to head to the club….
