Chapter 7
December 27th
The girls loved spending time with their families but they had spent to much time already that they needed some alone time. They caught the next flight to Chicago to spend time as a couple before having to camp. Press parents weren’t so happy to hear that they wouldn’t be able to spend Christens birthday with her.
Finally back in their cosy little apartment they had missed so much. Julie didn’t feel like cooking so they bought take out doing their own little things but being around together. Julie was getting the final touches to her big surprise she had in store.
December 28th
Julie rolls out of bed without Chris waking up goes straight to the kitchen and begins to make Christens favorite breakfast she leaves a note for Chris since she wouldn’t see her until later that night.
Happy birthday baby I made you your favorite breakfast you won’t see me until dinner i’m off to finish what I have planned for the rest of the day. I called some of your close friends to spend the day with you. I bought you an outfit to wear for tonight its in a big box under the bed with the big red bow on it. I will pick you up at 7.

Christen makes it out to the kitchen and finds her favorite breakfast along with come roses she reads the note “Dam how did i get so lucky?”. Half way through her food she gets a call from her mom after the birthday wishes her mothers asks her why they left so early from the vacation. She got other birthday calls to keep her busy until her friends show up to keep her calm until it was time for her to get ready.
Their was a pounding on there door that scares Christen out of her seat she makes it to the door to see who it was. It happens to be her friends once she opened the door and make was attacked with tight hugs that she felt like she was getting suffocated.
They talk over a fresh cup of coffee in the kitchen. They talked for hours until Christens friend check her phone “Its time for me to head out and time for you to get ready for you date tonight, Your girlfriend is so cute with you don’t worry she told me since she knows we are super close and I will keep it on the down low until you guys are ready to come out” Christen was surprised of the words that she had just heard from her best friends mouth. “Your are seriously the best friend any one could ask for” hugs her and her friend was out the door.
In the bedroom she bends down to find the box that contained her outfit for the night. In inside their was a dark blue long dress that hugged her body in all the right areas. JJ was so specific on details she even picked the shoes and accessories she would need hair and makeup was up to Christen. She quickly hopped into got into the shower taking her time.
Julie was over at her old roommate getting ready. She would a grayish long dress as well but a bit more loose still hugging the right areas but not has noticeable as her girlfriends. When she’s doing the finishing touches of her hair and make-up Christen calls her.. “Babe I miss you its been too many hours with out you can you just come over now..” allowing her girlfriend to express how much she missed her. “I will be over in 30 minutes to pick you to go for dinner ok I love you see you in a bit”.
Julie’ checks the jeep again to make sure had 2 dozens of white roses in the the front seat to give Christen when she went inside. The drive was about a 20 minutes she could of made it in 10 but wanted to take her time tonight. Parks the jeep in her parking grabs the roses and walks up to the door of their apartment. She decides to knock instead of just opening the door with key seconds after knocking Christen opens the door have Julie lost for words while staring at her girlfriend. Christen looked stunning as usual but the night she looked 10 times better than before. “Happy birthday Baby you look incredibly gorgeous … here i got you these” Christen took the roses and set them down on the kitchen table pulling Julie in and pushing her up against the wall leaning and going for the kiss that Julie was more than happy to accept pulling Chris in closer while Chris hiked up her dress allowing JJ to roam on her thigh but before they moved on to something JJ pulls back “ As much as i would love to continue this and move to the bedroom I think we shall get going to dinner i made the reservation for 7:30” “But babe its my birthday and this is what i want “ making a pouting face but JJ doesn’t buy it giving her the look. “Fine but this isn’t over to be continued later ;)”
They walked out to the jeep holding hands like a normal couple would but once they got to the restaurant instead of holding hands Christen holds on to Julie’s arm which JJ is perfectly okay with. Inside they order their favorite wine along with some Italian food. They were so busy enjoying their food that didn’t have time to talk. They finished eating payed the bill and Julie whispers “we aren’t going home just yet I have few more surprises before we head one”.
JJ since they would be out for awhile longer it they would be more comfortable in something so she had planned ahead and had 2 warmer outfits in the back of the jeep. They pulled up to the Chicago Red Stars locker room to change since it was warm. All part of Julie’s plan “Babe lets play some ball yeah?” Christen took off to the with the ball towards the practice field. Julie had set up a screen and a projector to watch a movie under the Chicago sky. Their was a table filled with Christens favorite desserts in their dugout type of bench. Along with blankets and pillows since they would be watching the movie from the dugout the movie was being projected using the stadium has their screen. Christen was very impressed that Julie was about to set this all up in such a little time.
After the movie ended Julie suggested that instead of driving home they could walk home. “But babe you can’t leave your jeep here its like your baby” “It’s okay I’m leaving it in a place that is very secure and nothing will happen to it”. They excited the stadium and began their walk home to their apartment. They stopped and grabbed coffee at their favorite coffee shop. Julie had discovered the coffee shop the first few day she got to Chicago it had soon become a place where Christen and Julie had little best friend coffee dates. Has they continued their way home Julie kept pointing how beautiful Christen was and how lucky she was to have her has her best friend and her girlfriend all in one. While holding hands and giving her small kisses on her girlfriends cheek.
They finally made it home to their apartment but before going in “Babe I got you a gift” Christen was a little shocked that after the day they had spent Julie had still got her a gift. “J you didn’t have to get me anything today was honestly the best birthday I don’t need anything else” however JJ pulls out the gift a small black box like the one from Christmas. Once again Christen thought it was a ring when Julie said to open it their was a pair diamond stud earrings. She couldn’t believe what she was seeing she says nothing but goes straight in to kiss JJ. “How about we open the door and finish what had started earlier birthday girl?” JJ opens the door they make their way to the bedroom and continue.
