Jane snatches a copy of TIME from the coffee table and thrusts the crumpled paper in Loki’s face, holding the magazine close enough for him to see the Avengers on the cover; linking arms with weary-looking firefighters, policemen, soldiers and civilians to shelter New York City behind their outstretched arms. She has to stand on tiptoes to reach him, which would annoy her is she had any room left for more rage, “Every one of us matters!”
Loki gives her a disdainful glare, “Some matter more than others.”
